Topic says it all, I've gone on so long about how they get thousands of dollars for donations and for sponsor links. There is no way in hell that they could have spent so much on servers that they need to put banner ads on pages.

I haven't seen any either. I read the announcement but there seems to be no difference.

That's why I love Nortons! It removes any banners from websites, so I'll never see em! The only problem is I can't click the links on the home pages, but that's only about 20 gold.

It's nearer 50. They havn't put them on yet, but are in the progres.
My point is, they don't even need banners, not even little tiny descreet ones.
Edit. I patched safari at home so I can selectivly remove ads and banners anyway. So it makes no difference to me if they do put them on, but I say again, greedy.

Well I don't begrude a fiver a month to be honest.
I don't know how much it costs to keep the servers up though.
