Kit and I know that there are tons of Spirit Guardian topics in the guild. We want to make one where everyone can just chat, learn, etc.
We don't want to discourage people from making other threads, but if you have a question, we hope we can answer it - We like to think we know some stuff about Guardians. n.n;------------------------------------------------

General Guardian Info:
-Definition: A Spirit Guardian is a being who is with always with you, usually since birth (or creation, depends on if you believe in reincarnation or another some such). Their soul purpose is to keep you company, comfort you, and protect you from harm if they can. And there's always the perk of talking out loud to 'nobody', and freaking the hell out of people. :D
-Doubt: Doubt is often prey on Spirit Guardians; since it's in your mind, it's easy to think you're making it up, and sometimes you are. But what you can do is learn to recognize your thoughts, and thoughts or feelings that seem alien, and differentiate between them. When you learn to do this, your guide and you will grow closer and closer. S/he already loves you; after all, s/he's been taking care of you since babyhood. Have faith.
Contacting Spirit Guides
-'Voice Method': This is the method that I found my own Spirit Guide on. If you've always had a little voice in your head, whether it speak in words or intentions and feelings, then this is probably how you'll find your spirit guide.
If you succeed by this method, it probably means you're a calm, centered sort of person - the voice in your head unbidden means that you don't need to meditate to sense psychically. You just get it. Now, because this voice has probably been in your head for quite a while, it'll probably be harder to figure out whose thoughts are whose. (Don't give up, though!)
It takes a few days to easily and readily contact your spirit guide -- that's with any method. You just have to practice. Practice casting out your thoughts, widening your psychic awareness to sense anything.
I find this method a ton of fun -- after all, you can't exactly meditate deeply in school!
-'Sanctuary Method': This is a popular method, as far as I can tell. I know quite a few people who have found their own guardians using this method.
Depending on your general psychic awareness, you meditate fairly deeply and place yourself in a place where you feel completely comfortable. (In a forest, near a river, etc) Often, it's a place in nature. If you wish, you can perceive yourself in your "true form" - usually applies to otherkin - to make it easier. Then, you simply call out to your guides, and ask to meet them. This may take a few tries, but try to send out a calm aura, letting your guides know that you'll meet them, whatever and whoever they are. :3
These are all the methods I know of - if you know another, please tell me! I'll put it up here on the first post.

Extra: Her name is derived from Seline - the moon goddess. I had no idea about this until I met her and looked up her name. Also, my goddess sign is the moon - very odd.

Likes and Dislikes: He likes to freak people out. Like suddenly he gets me annoyed so I yell at him... in public. We can never stay mad at each other though, which is obvious. When she's a humanoid, she's extremely thin, pale silver skin and dark silver hair. With blue eyes, and she wears a thigh-length sleeveless white dress with ragged edges.

Rambling
(will put a better post here once i think of one)
to explain why i might not be able to answer some questions, i figured i should tell you a bit about my guide/guardian, Cu, and i.
 Cu:
name: Cukeisansraf (coo-kee-sans-er-aff)
nickname: Cu (coo like in coo-coo clock)
gender: female
age: unknown (she won't tell me)
current form: a white cat with purple stripes, a strange symbol on her forehead, and tiny wings
personality: hard to explain at times, but she can be very mothery to me then the next moment be more like a sister/friend, mostly because i end up teaching her just as much as she teaches me. generally she's shy with people other then me and doesn't enjoy talking to them much (i don't channel her, she just talks to me and i type what she says). she's frustrating to get answers out of at times, but will dump them out when she feels it's time for me to know certain things.

.... i'm insane, and i'm strange. also, don't ask me stupid questions, unless you want the answer. and i have a horrid memory, especially with names. .... is there anything else you really need to know?

I still don't know much about mine's personality but I am learning. I do know that his name is Tomas and his apperance is a tall man in a long tan trench coat wearing a wide hat( that matchs his trenchcoat) that leaves me unable to see his face which is under the shadow of this hat. On his face I can just see his eyes.

Not long after I got my mind empty I got this feeling something was next to me, and when I opened my eyes there was this . . . shadowy thing. It went poof as soon as I reacted. Scared me to death >__<

hm, well that could be many things.. a 'shadowy thing'.. well it could had been your guide/guardian i guess, although with that reaction you might not be seeing it for awhile if so. although i guess it could have been another spirit nearby that got within your sight.. although i guess you scared it off/it hadn't been expecting you to see it.
well, whatever it was, i'd suggest continuing with trying to contact, unless it really bothers you which i'd say to find someone who knows more about that sort of thing to help you ^^;
