Air Nomads~ Northern Air Temple

Located deep within the northern Sehshisrui [sheh-she-his-ree-u] Mountain Range south of the Nothern Water Tribe continent is the Air Nomads' Northern Air Temple. The temple is accessible only by means of flying, or by rigorous climbing. Alongside the amazing Air Monks that populate this tower- the descendants of Earth Refugees, of course, also inhabit the tall towers of the temple fortress.
Air Temple Sanctuary: This large room holds a rather amazing bath house.
Airball field: A small court that is covered with up pointing pillars. At the two ends of the field a 'net' is placed. The net of the field is, pretty much, a rotating door, and when hit it lets the incoming ball through it.
Invention Area: Another room in this vast fortress would be this rather short area. It is filled to the brim with small gagets, showing the magnificent mind of a man long past.

Kazu would walk through the snow outside the temples as Kazu would then kneel down and have his hands touch the cold snow. Kazu would close his eyes as he felt the breeze of wind, while Kazu held his pendant closely to him with his other hand.

Kazu would walk once more as he saw the kids run by him playing, but Kazu wouldn't pay much attention to them. As he would then walk inside the temple and look for his staff he left there. Kazu would sneakly run inside and grab his staff as he would leave before one of the monks would want to talk to him. Kazu ran ouside leaving a trail of snow behind him as he would then pull out the staff and throw it infront of him as the wings unfolded in an oval like shape. As another fin would pull out from both under and above the first pair of wings, as Kazu jumped on it like a snowboard. Kazu would be staying at a good level while gliding down on the air board, as he would make a good push of air lift him a little higher.
"Man I haven't done this in a long time, I am suprised I haven't fallen yet. These type of flyers are hard to keep up in the air, bu they are fun."

Kazu would start to be doing a nose dive, as Kazu started to summon up lots of wind to the front. This would the cause Kazu to do a loop and then regained his balance going straight. Kazu would look forward, as he would continue to think a little more.
"Man I gottastop thinking it is bringing me down, I use to be care free and happy... Ever since what happened before, No! Think happy songs!"
Kazu would continue to be gliding down the mountains path ways as he landed on the stand with the back fans folding back in, as Kazu was now snowboarding in the snow down the mountain.

Kazu would reach a trench which would lead to where the gas chamber in the temple was, as Kazu slid down into it and into a cavern in the mountain wall. As he would walk in the holding the staff in his hand while it was being folded up, and then Kazu would pick up a back pack that he left there incase he were to leave the temple. As Kazu would then walk back out into the trench as he jumped out and unfolded the fans of his staff. Kazu woul make himself spin with the staff board creating wind force to send Kazu up and over the other side of the trench. Kazu folded up the staff and started to walk down the snow covered mountain.
"Now let's see what wonderous adventures come in for me when I venture into other nations. It should be fun!"
Kazu said with anticipation as he took out the staff and folded it out and started to slide on the snow.

Kazu would soon reach all the way down the mountain, as he would be very tired as of now. Though he payed someone to ride him to the fire nation, as he would sleep on the boat trip. Kazu was buying supplies as it was time to go and he would quickly go and get into the boat, and the man would be getting the boat ready. The boat would shove off for the fire nation as Kazu was already fast alseep.

[PC:Jin Location: Northern air temple sanctuary NPC: Susunade his childhood friend.]
Had you been unlucky enough to have entered the Bath Houses of the Nothern Air Temple that day would have found every inch of your body drenched in steaming bath water within seconds of entering the room. Oddly enough the usual culprit-A visiting water bender who had gotten a little tipsy- wouldn't have been responsible, your sudden wetness would have been caused by a pair of air benders.
The younger of the two , a woman named Susunade would most likely have stopped and pointed out that you were likley to get wet anyway, unless of course you were planning on sitting and watching the many women wandering around the bath house bathe in which case she would call you a pervert and send you flying out the door with a blast of air.
Meanwhile the older one: a young man named Jing Toh have laughed at your sad prediciment, unless you happened to be two things: A: A beautiful woman B: Not a noble, in which case he would send a gust of warm air drying your clothes within seconds.
But today there was no one to interupt the two companions, and they circled around the elegant chamber undisturbed. The two youths exchanged blows, sending water across the floors, and startling the many winged leamers that lined the giant skylight. For the most part there airbending did little more than knock it's target back a few feet, but occasionally the fighters would send thin blasts of wind able to easily rip the skin from the bone to keep each other on there toes. The only thing between them and their opponents attacks were the average undergarments worn by most air nomads.
Jing took a deep breath and then exhaled sending a strong breath of wind towards his female companion. A casual observer would have noticed that Jing's air bending style was much more rigid, and angular compared to that of other Nomads, and they wouldn't have been alone in this observation although unlike Susunade they would have kept quiet about it.
The young woman quickly danced out of the way, floating over the slick floor for a few seconds, and then letting Jing's blast fall harmlessly on her silk black hair. "You airbend like a Badgermole" She cried out mockingly, her voice echoing through the empty room with an almost musicle quality.
Jing opened his mouth to respond but before he could say anything a blast of air sent him spiralling acorss the room. Despite valliant efforts he failed to recover from the fall and his bruised body skid across the floor and into a nearby bath. He floated under the surface for a few seconds his brown hair flowing around his face and obscurring his vision. Once he regained his composure he leapt out of the water and glared at his female companion. "I thought you were supposed to be helping me train for the turnament" he yelled angirly the gusts or air created by his flaring nostrils sent water flying away from his body creating a perfectly dry circle several feet in diamater around his feet.
"Well it's not my fault you try to move the air like a wanabee earth bender." She said smuggly obviously proud of her superior bending abillity, but when she spoke again her voice had an urgency and a sense of fear in it that Jing had never heard before. "You're going up against the best benders in the four nations they'll crush you if your not prepared"
"Yeah. Yeah. That's what they told Toph Bei Fong when she first stepped into the ring as the Blind Bandit, and look what kind of fighters she ended up dueling against."
"Do you always have to bring up history when we argue? It feels like there's always some famous fighter or scholar or...or HOBO you can use to justify your statments."
"Hermit"
"excuse me?"
"I've never used a hobo to justify my statments, Iv'e used hermits, there's a big difference."
Susunadi chuckled, and ruffled her friends hair with a playful gust of air. "fine Hermits, but that dosen't change the facts." She carfully pulled her formal robes back on, and tied her long black her into a ponytail. Slowly she made her way to the huge doors that marked the public entrance (and exit) to the bath chamber being carful not to drop her long robe in the many puddles that covered the elegant tile floor. Jing followed several feet behind, completely oblivious to her current clothing based ordeal.
Once outside the two friends were greeted with the freezing air that seemed to hang over the Northern Air Temple like some kind of plauge during the winter months. In an attempt to stop there shivering they moved a little closer together, clinging to each other for warmth.
((well what to you guys think of my first post))

The pair took their time making it to the glider store room. It had been a long time since they had been at the air temple together, and they wanted to enjoy their stay. "So remind me again why are we haeding to your family's mansion in Omashu." Sunasunade asked, she was rather cheeful despite the bitter cold.
Jing shook his head, he had gone over his reasons for visiting the Toh household so many times that he had lost count. "We're going because there's no way we could make it across the sea to the fire nation with our gliders, and none of the temples are willing to lend us a Bison, and we need money. Personally I think the elders are just angry about what happened to the last Bison I borrowed, what my family did was perfectly reasonable"
The black haired girl promptly hit him upside the head "They ATE HIM!" she yelled, clearly frightened by his rather disturbing stance. "ONLY SAVAGES WOULD EAT A FLYING BISON"
Jing laughed "I know that's why what my family did was perfectly reasonable."
Suddenly the joke dawned on her. "Oh." she said. She still didn't think what he said was funny, but then again no one had ever acused Jing of having a very good sense of humor.
A few hours later they found themselves up in the clouds letting the wind guide their bodies, their spirits were lighter than air. They weaved through the Sehshisrui moutain range slowly making there way towards the border of the earth kingdom. Much to Jing's chagrin Sunasunade had maanaged to turn their short journey to Omashu into a rigerous training exercise.
They stopped almost hourly to train in the caves the lined the moutain range. The jagged rocks that lined the walls of these small chambers insured that neither fighter made a wrong step, unless they were looking to spend most of their time in Omashu inside an infirmery.
Once they had finished fighting Jing began another training exercise he had learned when reading about Earthbender uprisings in the Fire nation interment camps. He Rotated his hands and foramrs in a circular motion, slowly at first, but soon he sped up until a small tornado had formed itself around his arms forcing the loose rocks through one end, and flying at highspeeds out the other.
What normally would have been a two day journey took them the better part of the week, but they both agreed that he had benifited for the better.

After days of climbing she finally reached the top! Struggling over the edge she collasped forward onto the cliff's edge, titian hair spilling out across the snow. Gulping for breath she just laid there. Why not just use her bending skills? Really..why go through all the hassle of climbing? Because she wanted to prove to herself she could. It took more then just strength to climb the way up. It took determination, which was vital in any bending..But good grief..she was tired!
Finally gaining the will to move she drew into a sitting position, legs drawn under her body so that she could sit back on her ankles. Slender lips pressed tightly as her fingers curled to the fabric of her wrap, drawing the cotton cloth tighter about her chilled figure. Mismatched eyes raising over the walls of the temple, a warmth of hope growing deep within her. She rose to her feet and started to the temple, steps sluggish from lack of rest. How long had she been traveling? Days simply began to bleed into one another and time had became something irrelevant but it did feel like several lifetimes...
A heavy sigh brushed past her lips as she pulled her hair over her left shoulder, fingers curling to a thicket to be tugged on as she inched her way into the temple..

Waking up with a loud yawn Kina let out a sigh as she stood up. She knew what today was, and she knew it would be a long day or even days. Putting on her finest dress and her most expensive jewlry she then continued to grab other various items around her room.
Once she had packed everything up Kina grasped her wistle that she had picked up in a fire bending marketplace years ago; and headed outside. Walking over to a ledge overlooking a lush green meadow that had her huge Air Bison Coco grazing in it. "Coco, it's time to go. Lets go find Yoko!" With that the huge bison lept from the ground and took off into the air.
Stoping right next to the ledge Kina jumped ontop of the bisons back and said, "Yip yip!" the huge bison took off flying at an unbeliveable speed. They were now on they're way to the northern water tribe.
[Exit to- Northern water tribe.]

The monks had been so kind to her. Giving her shealter to recollect herself after all that she had been through. Food for her belly. And something she truly needed...a fur-inlined wrap! She was about ready to freeze off parts of her body she knew she would eventually need!
After fully rested she began to wander along the hallways of the temple, eventually finding herself in the fields where it seemed people gathered to practice their bending. Her eyes softened as she watched the monks in vigorous training, memories of her past sweeping forward in her mind's eyes. Inhaling slowly she turned and continued on her way, shaking her head as if to shake away the memories.
Even steps carried her out of the temple, not because she wished to leave, but simply to enjoy more of her surroundings. The wind whipped about her, causing her titian locks and the warm wrap to dance about. Her hand rose, slender fingers curling about her hair to draw it down and out of her face, mismatched eyes turning to watch a rather large..bison? Fly off..Her head craned slowly to the side..well that was new. At least to her. In the tilted position a sound caught her ear. Turning her attention she started to follow the low grumbling sound. Like a feline's throatily growl. Soon enough she was upon what was making the noise. And feline enough it was. Against the white snow, a beast of equal white laid spiraled out across the ground. A rather large beast.
She was actually familiar with these kinds of beasts! Si'rik-su. They resembled the white tiger but had a thicket of fur like a mane about their neck and their paws where larger then an average tiger. And unlike tigers, they had off-white wings. Almost like weathered leather but still in good shape this one's wings stretched taut over a hollow-boned frame, sweeping down in silent avian grace. Grazing the arch of each folded wing where long string of fluttering, glossy-blue feathers, giving the wings a vaguely aggressive appearance. The males tended to have blueish or blueish-green coloring while the females where stripeless and pure white. This one was heavily marked with stripes from the bridge of it's nose to the very tip of it's tail! The one thing that did stand out struck her with immediate worry. This creature's side had been impaled by a shard of ice which still rose from it's ribcage. It must of walked for hours with the thick ice-encased rock embedded into its flesh, trying to seek it's companions. But how did it get all the way up there? Did it fly in it's condition?!
Worriedly she approached and once the creature noticed her, it started growling all the louder. A soft breath of cooing fell from her lips as she held out her hands, palms upward to show she meant no harm. It continued to growl even as she closed the distance between herself and it. She watched the creature closely as she slowly bent down to access the wound and the cause, being very careful not to startle the creature. A slow smile crept to her lips as her mismatched eyes lowered to the creature, her hands going to the pillar of ice. It's bright blue eyes where regarding her with fury..pain..and most of all..fear..
Inhaling sharply and slowly releasing the breath she prepared for the worst, hoping to move before the beast struck. Feet shifting she planted them firmly and with a swift motion yanked upward, withdrawing the iced over earth from it's lodged position. The creature roared out and like she had predicted indeed struck out. Massive maw opened wide and clamped down onto her nearest arm, her eyes closing quickly in anticipating the pain...
There was little..
Her eyes opened to find the creature had released it's hold on her arm and began to indeed lick the offended area. She smiled reassuring to the creature, tossing the shard of earth aside. Quickly her wrap was pulled off and she set in making the creature a bandage to slow the bleeding. Once that was done she looked about. Hmmm. Her nose wrinkled as she thought, looking for something particular. Her eyes fell on some boulders. That would work! She would make it work! With sprinting steps she moved over to a large one, sides almost completely flattened by the wear and tear of the weather. She assessed it over and smiled inwardly as she moved to one side. Her feet slid apart, quickly planting firm against the ground. She inhaled slowly and rose her hands to her torso, palms skyward. Slowly rising them as she inhale she prepared herself. With a thrusting motion forward, her palms turned outward towards the boulder. Bending the northern air to flip the boulder over she sent it skidding on it's bottom towards the large feline. Moving she curled her arms under the forearms and with a grunt, a groan..she struggled to pull the creature onto the boulder.
Now was the tricky part. She gave a rather apologetic look to the feline as she turned towards it and planted her feet firmly. Trying her best to be gentle she rose her right hand up, bending air between the creature and the ground thus lifting it up. With a firm thrust of her left hand she sent a gust to push the boulder under the creature. Once that was done the creature was lowered onto it but not as much gentle as it had been raised. Puffing she lowered her hands onto her knees, her breaths clouding in the air before her. Almost..done..
Jumping back into position she cupped her hands with her palms towards her then pushed out, sending force against the boulder. She flinched finding she did it maybe a little two hard, the boulder skidding across the ground but hey..at least it was towards the temple! She kept forcing herself to continue even though the bending was having it's physical affect on her. Three-fourths of the way and she collapsed to her knees, breathing in gasps as she eyed the creature. It was unconscious. Probably her fault. She wasn't exactly the best air bender and she was definitely not being, by any means, gentle. Forcing herself to stand she wobbled towards and into the temple, requesting some help from the monks. With 3 in tow she had the feline in the temple in no time.
She was allowed to have it in her room, where it's wounds where tended properly by some of the monks. She wasn't bound to leave it's side..not after all she went through! And it was late in the night that the monks finally left the room, leaving her in her peaceful sleep on the mat next to the beast..
Exhausted..exhausted to the point she actually snored! ZZzzzzZzz!

Taizen panted as the Ship mooredinto a snowed over land. He couldn't go any deeper into the snow without working hard to melt the snow and move the damn boat! "Hey! Old man! Get up! This is as faras we go for today! We might be staying here for a little while..."
"Hrmph..." The old man saidindignantly as he turned over in his warm seat. "..." Silently, Taizen melted some snow, and bended it over his head, with a circular horizontal motion, to a crane stance, the water was at his waist in a ball, and then slowly moved upward to meet his hand, slowly and carefully he went over to the old man, and dorpped the water on him. "BRRFRR!" The old man protested getting up. "What was that for?" He demanded Snapping at him and waggling his finger. "Were leaving. C'mon, help me bury this thing. I don't want anyone stealing it while were not looking..."
He said tiredly, gathering his belongings while the old man gathered his, when they were both off the obat, the two benders together, sent wave over wave of flowing flurrying snow over theBoat until it was impossible to see underneath. "Hold on." He said as the old man began to leave. Bending a a largeball out of the frozen oceanthey arrived in, Taizen held it, then sent it flying over the mountain of snow. with a quick snap of his wrist, then he froze it by moving forward, and putting his hands down in front of him. "That 'ought to do it." He said looking over at the now very solid, sleak, and slippery mountain of snow. Before heading off to find the northern temple.

"You there!" Commanded a voice from above, Taizen looked surprised. A Green figure was circling them from above, on a glider... "Hello there! Are you one of the refugee's?" The old man asked brightly, as the green figure landed not too far away's from them, and came towards them. "Refugee? HAH! No, i'm a 1first returner! Meaning my parents cameto the northern temple before the Airbenders returned!" He said haughtily, making Taizen, who disliked a lot of people, dislike this kid even more. "Are you a bender?" Taizen asked coldly. The kid looked down. "No? Well, thenyou should stop putting on airs. C'mon old man, we can get to the temple without his help."
Taizen said turning without a second moments thought. The old man gave a sympathetic look. "Wait!" The boy commanded, spinning his glider like an airbender. "Truth is, It's pretty hard to get to the temple without assistance by a native of this area." Taizen looked back at the earth kingdom kid. "I think we'll take our chances..." HE said, the old man started. "Are you crazy?!" The old man demanded. "We would be most appreciative of your help sir." The earthkingdom kid smirked as though he had accomplished some great feat. "Actually, sir... Theres something else... such as... Payment for a guide..." "Thats it..." Taizensaidannoyed, turning on the Bender, and making a shoving motion. The snow beneath they're feet flew up and dropped the boy to the ground. "Now, unless youd like to become a frozen earthkingdom kid, then i suggest you do something about that 'payment'" Taizen said, in a voice that promised threats and pain.

The days had came and gone like normal. Herself and the Si'rik-su had grown close in friendship, even if the first couple of days where more stale then week old bread. The creature had affectionately been named Guardian, and was rarely seen without Niima at his side. The creature seemed to do well in warming the young girl's heart, which had grown distant with the weary years of travel.
This particular morning, however, it seemed Guardian was in a overly playful mood to get Niima out of bed. Thwap! One of the feline's overly large paw came batting down at her face. A hand rose, swatting the paw away and she rolled over in her cot. Guardian snorted aloud and tried the pawing action a few more times, each time getting dismissed by a wave of hand. It seemed to actually aggitate the feline that he was being waved off! Slowly the feline moved around the cot, reaching down to grasp the pant's leg of her breeches into it's maw. Such a rude awakening but the next thing she knew she was being dragged across the floor. Out of her room..Still she was dazed and it took a moment to realize things where moving..and she was being dragged..
"Geh," she gurgled out as she grabbed the waistband of her pants, her mismatched eyes shooting down to the feline who was pounding way through the temple, "Guar-"
Out of the temple itself and into the cold snow!!
"IIEEEEYYAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Guardian you blasted feline what are you doing?!"
GOOD MORNING sunshine! Every which way the snow could find, it found it's way in her clothing and to warm skin, giving her quite a chilled wake up call. The thing is..Guardian didn't stop there, he kept on dragging her clear to the edge of the mountain's cliff. Now if she had her wits about her she might of considered bending to her advantage but her current worries where A) her pants falling off! and B) The freezing snow suddenly impacted on her flesh!
And C) Empty Air..
Guardian had literally yanked her off the cliffside and she found herself hanging in air several feet from the cliff's edge. That is when Guardian's sense of humor seemed to come in..either that or her weight with nothing to support it came into notice. The edge of her pants gave way, fabric tearing and she dropped. Her eyes rounded as she started falling groundward and she screamed out what would of sounded to anyone who could make it out..not exactly lady like words..
Thwap! She landed gruffly onto the back of Guardian, his wings heavily flapping to keep support of both their body weight. She laid across it's back like a sack of potatoes, gulping for breath. Maniac! The feline was crazy! She had the right mind to pluck feathers from his wing! She was fully awake now and boy was her blood boiling. Huffing a few strains of titian hair from her face she eyed the feline who started to circle the air back towards the temple. That is when she caught sight of people below. Her head craned to the side. They didn't look like monks..
Curiousity getting the best of her she shifted onto Guardian's back, hands grasping softly at the mane with one hand while the other pointed down to the trio. Catching hint Guardian decended so she could get a better looksee at what was going on.
For now the feline was off the hook..
..For now..

The boy had relented to Taizen's wishes, and was giuding the pair of benders up a steep hill, it was hidden, and Taizen could see what the boy had meant when he said 'it's pretty hard to get to the temple without a natives assistance.' They were going straight up. Up the steep wall of snow and earth. they were on a cliff, and he could see a plateu of ground that opened up for easier passage, this seemed the only way up the mountain. As he climbed he realized that much of the foot holds they were using to climb were oddly spherical, perfect in they're way of being consistantly circular. He couldn't beleive that an airbender had done this, maybe not even an earthbender. (What would an earth bender be doing there, and why were there so many?) As he neared the plateau he felt something in one of the footholds. It was dangerous for him to do it on such a narrow land. But he removed one hand to feel around for what he felt.. it had been cold "Snow..duh"
He thought, but it had also been hard... He wrapped his fingers around it, and inspected it. It was a peice of metal, it was probably the hook to something. "A hook?" He pondered aloud. The Earthkingdom boy looked down to see Taizen. "I'm not surprised theres remnants of that battle in these holed." The boy said, though his face obviously proved him wrong. Taizen wondered howold the metal musty have been, there hadn't been a war, nay there hadn't been a battle in the air temple since... 200 years ago... When the air avatar had been around... Allen pocketed the metal in his... pocket...
And finally, they reached the plataeu. Looking up he could see the temple clearly. And a dot amongst it, a flapping dot... heading towards them! Taizen melted some snow off of his clothes and bent a whip out of the water, and turned the whip into a sphere of water. He held it in in his arms like one would hold a ball. His hips aiming for the flapping dot. he dropped the ballwhen he saw a figure riding atop it. He dropped the water sphere almost in shock, rather than dismissal of an enemy. A figure that had paler skin than was healthy. (Even for the remarkably pale fire nation) It was a girl, and she looked quite... er... cold. Which, would explain the paleness of skin... of course... "Hello there!" The old man called waving jovially. The boy realizing that the benders were preoccupied, took his chance at freedom, and jumped off the cliff, Glider in hand. Riding the winds out of sight. Taizen barely noticed, after all, he would have thought the boy would have flown off while Taizen was climbing the cliff, and was thus unable to bend.
