Under Construction Name: Nemora Llaeri Nicknames: none known Age: 26 Past: When Edwithia told Efton she was pregnant, he flipped out and even left their home for nearly a week without giving any clue to his whereabouts. When he returned, he asked Edwithia to abort, but she refused. She would not allow his fear of passing on his mental instabilities destroy the new life within her. Things were never quite the same between them. Edwithia conspired to bear two more children to Efton in the hope that they would add more love to their home. Nemora, as the first child, still partially blames herself for destroying the love her father and mother shared. Her given name was Nemora Llaeri Tannover.
When Nemora was 12, her grandfather (actually her step-grandfather from her father's mother's remarrige) won a Power Ball lottery for 75 Million Dollars. Knowing he could not spend it all in his lifetime, and acknowledging that luck had led to his sudden fortune, he decided to will the money to one of his grandchildren. He used a Bingo-turner to pick at random, and Nemora won. Her parents vowed to keep the money safe until she was old enough to be responsible with her decissions. (Actually only her mother did this. Her father kept trying to think of ways to get at the money since they were a poor-middle class family.)
The tension was too much for Nemora to handle. When she turned 18 she stole all the necessary bank account information from under her parent's matress (her dad would have flipped if he'd known it was there all along) and ran away with all the money. She did a lot of stupid things for those first few years, and a lot of things which were meant to clense her spirit. One thing in particular was to legally change her name. She dropped Tannover and took her middle name, Llaeri, as her surname. She traveled a lot during this time; travled, gambled, drank, partied... anything to get her mind off of home.
When Nemora returned to her families home three years later (she was 21 at the time) she discovered that less than a year ago her father had set fire to the house in the night while he, her mother, and her sisters were still inside. There were no survivors. The young couple next door who had been rather close to Edwithia saw Nemora and gave to her a letter written by her mother along with the necklace her mother wore which glowed bright white in the presence of danger.
Dearest Nemora~
I hope you are safe. I hope you are able to one day come back and find this letter of mine. I know my time is not much longer now as your father grows more and more irradic and violent with each passing day.
There are times he does not know the time he is in, and still searches for the money your grandfather gave to you all those years ago. I have tried to convince your sisters to go, but they will not. I fear for their safety far more than my own.
As your father begins to pawn more and more of our few yet priceless possecions, I have decided to make certain this necklage reaches your hands. Of all my daughters you have shown the most promice for the Overseer ways. Do not let yourself fall out of practice. I know that many things await you in life. Be prepared to handle the worst at all times.
~I love you.
Perhaps it was because Nemora was far more emotionally vulnerable that when she went on her second "run-away-from-the-world" trip, she fell in love. She fell in love with the sea and everything to do with it. She poured herself into learning how to sail. First on small watercraft, then on larger until she found herself a "crew-member" to an old fashioned sailing ship used for slow-going tours of the Galapagos Islands. She eventually had a medium-sized craft build for herself (this $75,000,000 can last a long time...) and named it Fortune's Wind. She didn't know what compelled her to have one which worked best with two people running it, perhaps it was her first moment of reaching out after a long time of running away.
When she was about 24 she realized that the way she was living her life simply wasn't going to work. She stopped at the next island community she came to and began trying to make a home for herself. She only felt it a fitting investment to buy a house, and after finding one by the water which had been doing poorly on the market, she got a great deal and moved in. She's been here, at Llaetihn Estate (she renamed it) for two years now. After the first few months she began searching for a Financial Advisor. She highly respects Korina, and trusts her. They may not always see eye-to-eye, but they get along in their own fashion.
Heritage: Nemora is half Overseer (her mother's race). Overseers are a race created to guard an anchient treasure. (What it is, Nemora doesn't know. Her mother never told her.) Overseers are immune to natural causes of death, as well as poisons and diseases. They are also skilled in defensive magic: shields, wards, and some healing. It is uncommon for a male Overseer to be born (and only recently were they given status above that of slaves.) and they often have strong telekinetic powers, but not the same magic as the women. It is common, though, for a half-blood from an Overseer parent to have both sides of the power. As such Nemora can create magical shields and wards, as well as use some telekinetic power. She can heal minor scrapes, but nothing too big. She also has a slightly lower immunity to poison than her mother. A new development is the ability to modify objects. No Overseer has ever been able to do this and it is supposed that it comes from somewhere on her father's side. She can easily change the colors of things, but texture and shape are much harder. Her sisters both have great powers to heal, but nothing more.

Under Construction The Llaerihn Estate is east of the Port of Gambino, the property stretches to the beach.Exterior: Llearihn Estsate is a rather old house, and it shows in the style of arcitecture and the materials used. The house is entirely dark-stained wood and red brick with some inner-structering redone in more durrable materials. (still looking for a reference pic) It had been owned by an old rival family to the Gambino's, but they did not last nearly as long. The house has been empty now for nearly two decades and there are still some places and rooms that need "airing out".
Interior: Much of the house is empty or being used to store all the odd items that were origonaly in the house. Nemora figures if she can dig up enough history about the family from before that she might go for a history auction sort of thing. For now the items continue to collect dust, simply behind closed doors now.
Rooms of Note: - Nemora's Quarters: 2'nd Floor, East - Nemora opts for space over opulence, she uses the double-rooms as a bedroom and study and keeps both free of clutter or overly-large furnature (though she did spring for the Queen-sized bed... it's fun to jump on!). - Raoul's Room: 2'nd Floor, West - Nemora felt it best that Raoul not feel crowded by herself and Soyo, so his room is across the stairwell from their rooms. Right now it is rather sparcely decorated. - Soyo's Room: 2'nd Floor, East - Nemora placed Soyo in a room two doors down from hers (in between in the room prepared for a younger child, it will later be remodled for Soyo's use). It is a bright and cheery place, if a bit bare right now. - Korina's Quarters: 3'rd Floor, North - Korina chose a small wing which looks out toward the beach. Nemora wasn't sure why she wanted the 3'rd floor... perhaps the stairs keep her in her perfectly trim physique. - The Library: 1'st Floor, East - This room is closed off right now. It's full of dusty old tomes and Nemora isn't quite certain they've gotten all the vermin out. - The Temporary Library 1'st Floor, East - One room over from the library is where Nemora keeps her own growing collection of books. Once she thinks the actually library is safe she'll start transfering them over. - The Gardens: Outside, North - A tranquil place to sit and read, or just ponder life. Off to the left (east) is a small pond with a cyclic waterfall which provides a nice melody. There are benches of various sizes (though of similar styles) scattered about. Tall hedges line the outermost edge of the garden, seperating it from the rest of the property. - Spooky Attic: Attic (4'th Floor) - What's a big, old house without a big, dark, spooky attic. Sheets cover a lot of the stuff (junk) in this attic, and there must be a crack somewhere because they flutter every now and then as though on a breeze...
