Lineslieth stretched luxuriously as he padded up the steps to the large orphanage. He was only clad in black slacks, as shirts didn't work well with wings and it was a lovely day, absolutely scorching out. His tail swung gracefully as he reached the doors, he sent out a query through his feed, the equivalent of ringing the door.
The large doors opened, and he stepped inside, claws clicking on the tile. He headed towards the orphanage's office, directed by a map his feed drew up for him, and waited silently in the small room.
"Hello, you must be Mr. Astrath?" a small woman asked as she walked in the door.
He nods, "I am. Where is the human boy?"
She gestured at the now closed door. "Waiting for you out there. I just need you to sign a few things."
He nods again, and sends over his unique feed-signature with a strand of his DNA to the small woman's. She compares things in her head for a moment, and nods.
"All is in order. You may take him." She finishes, and sends over his feed signature.
He opens the door, and lets his feed search for Akira's signature.

Looking over at nothing in particular, the frail, thin and pale looking wolf-boy watched as a bug started crawling along one of the walls. Children there had gone out with soon-to-be adoptive parents.
He found it strangely comforting that he had never been considered for adoption, and anyway, he found that academy, and his case worker had been pleased to see him take an interest in it.
He sighed, somewhat happilly as he decided against tormenting the insect, he stood up, and turned to get something to eat. But his eyes stopped short when he saw a man.
A dragon-man. Tall, he seemed proud, despite having no shirt on. Akira's tail flicked, his ears moving slightly. This was it, it seemed.
He was coming to take him away. He smiled, eagerly anticipating his new life as a student of the Asylum Academy. He padded over, quickly, almost happilly.
He was much taller than the child, he had to look up.
"Have you come to take me away?" He asked, his boyish voice soft, and unwavering.

Lineslieth leaped lightly over Akira and down the steps, his wings beating languorously as he slid into the driver's seat. He set the program to the destination, and leaned back, his chair going down with him.
"You don't talk much, do you child?" He asks, eyes closed and arms folded behind him, lying on his wings like a cushion. Lineslieth idly wondered if the child was mute, but if he were, one would think his file would've mentioned it. Ah, well. Better than Clerise's insistant chatter about nothing, he supposed.

Jerking back by the vehicle's acceleration, it took Akira a moment to get his bearings. He looked around, at mostly the bubble around them, his ears twitched as he listened to the world around them. His tail, despite being sat on, twitched and jerked beneath him, more so because it was running out of blood flow.
Finally realizing his tail was getting sore, he whimpered slightly and shifted awkwardly, the fluffy appendage springing out and wagging happilly, he smiled and it and held it down.
"W-What is the a-academy like, Sir?" he stammered, it wasn't often that he wanted to speak, and now he was getting comfortable with the company, his voice was happy to be used for once.

Lineslieth looked thoughtful. "Strange. And scary, if you get on any professor's bad side. They all have complete control over your feed, so they can do ANYTHING to you.
"There are no laws in the academy, no rhyme and no reason and no hope if you don't like it." he finished his omnious words, but was still smiling. "Don't worry though, naur." Lineslieth looked amused as Akira fidgeted, seeing his tail wiggle out from under him.
"I won't let Ms. Boulregard get at you. She is the second head, and is rather perturbing." He ruffles Akira's already very messy hair with a hand, and turned his face to his own, and pulled him closer. "Rumour has it, she likes to eat people." He flicked out his forked tongue, pretending to taste Akira. "But that's a lie. She just likes letting it perpetuate to make herself seem more disturbing." He let go of Akira's face, and cracked his back loudly.
"There's only a few kids there so far. You're only number eight, and some have yet to actually arrive."

Akira's face went from scared, to calm, and then to down right flustered, all in a matter of seconds. He was hanging on his every word.
His eyes widened when Lineslieth moved closer, pretending to taste him, his cheeks took on a shade or red. The wolf-pup in him wanted to bark, but all that came out was a whimper. He shuffled awkwardly back into his seat, ears half-down, and his tail straight as a board. Eating people? That's... scary...
A twitch of life, now Akira was smiling very slightly, "She lets people think that? But that's scary! I mean... I'm not sure I want to meet her now." He admitted, he was getting excited, secretly. He was already liking the sound of it, it sounded like something different to the boring and repeating days at the orphanage.
"Do they think you eat people too, sir?"

The child was blushing, how priceless. "Don't worry, from your feed you'll be going down a different path than hers." he says cryptically.
When the boy asked the question, he looked down and raised an elegant eyebrow. "Child, I am a darakieln, do you know what those are?" he flexed his clawed hands.
"I am not simply a human," he says the species name with venom in his voice. "altered to look like one. I am a dragon. I am a wyvern, a wyrm, a beast, a demon and a devil." he lists off, counting on his fingers. "Of course I eat people," he says, somewhat resigned. "It's in my blood. I am a reptile, I am a carnivore almost exclusively, and I am eternal," he continues, sounding full of almost-disdain. He glares down at the kid, suddenly irritable. "And don't call me sir. Just Lines is fine, I suppose, little lupus..."
He thinks to himself, 'and one of the only ones of my kind left...'

Akira blinked. The dragon-man now seemed mad, agitated by his words. The child almost took offence to it, his brows furrowing.
"I'm not child. My name's Akira, Mister Lines." He huffed, if only a little bit, and sat back.
"I didn't mean to make you mad, s- Lines." He frowned, it was a cute face really, Akira didn't think it, but anyone looking at it probably would have laughed.

Lineslieth grumbled, "Y'not child, but you are one. But all right, Akira. And no monster. Just...Lines is fine." and he turned to face the little one, and let out a low chuckle.
He pulled the kid into a hug. "Y'didnt make me mad, Akira. I just have issues with my breed, and yours. Nothing personal is involved..."
Lineslieth pulled back, and checked the car's dash. "It appears this vehicle has been upgraded since my last time in it. We'll be at the Academy in five, where you'll meet your roommate, if he's there."

Akira smiled, his tail went back to wagging happilly. The news of arriving at the Academy sooner than thought was exciting news. He couldn't wait!
His ears perked up and he nodded happilly. "Woot!" He said, giggling.
Then the news of his... roommate? Wait, what? He blinked.
"I have a roommate?"

"Woot. That's cute." Lineslieth smirked to himself. "Yup. Roommates. Everyone but staff has them, and if they don't they will. Do not fear though, it is only two to a room and is seperated by gender."
And with a slow whirr, the car powered down. He flew over to the passenger side, and waited for Akira. The gates were stark against his pale grey skin, and they slowly opened behind him as Lineslieth waited.
