Well, we definitely have best episode of the new Who years candidate 3nodding

And...that's all I have to say.

Move along people, nothing to see here.

Oh of course I have gripes, but let's not spoil the moment, eh?

Haven't seen it yet? cry How was it? Did Tennant use his Scottish accent the whole episode?

Oh, I modified the title... hopefully it will prevent having multiple threads popping up. Did you jump on the computer to post this the second the credits started rolling?

The Scottish thing was rather silly, but thankfully in an entertaining way and no, no he didn't xD

And overall yes it was awesome, marred slightly by a silly ending.

Nooo...Torchwood's the evil counterpart of UNIT, clearly.

I don't know what appealed less...the fact that Mr.Davies has a new gimmick or that we were treated to another character waxing lyrical on the dubious moral nature of the doctor and Rose's romps through history. rolleyes

We are supposed to root for the hero, right?

I think Russell T has been reading the Virgin New Adventures.

It did make me sit up and pay attention when they mentioned the Torchwood estate. I didn't think Torchwood was supposed to be evil UNIT - after all, Captain Jack's in it. Though maybe that's during the 2 years he's forgotten about...

I absolutely adored this episode, so much more than last. Maybe because there weren't that many things that were patently daft from a scientific point of view. Excepting of course the werewolf, but I like werewolf stories....

I wonder whether they sought Her Majesty's script approval before they wondered about whether the Royal Family were werewolves? smile In the week of her eightieth birthday too...

Gah the Torch Wood thing at the end was just so they could bring in the new series without much of a problem, silly BBC think we don't notice. Would be nice if it wasn't on BBC3 though cry

T'was quite funky and it had some good moments, like when Rose had to tell the Doc when he was being rude X3 But I still prefered the 1st episode, probably because I don't much care for werewolf stories confused

Yay! Anthony Head! 4laugh

I really enjoyed it! 3nodding I have to admit, being the paranoid scaredy-cat that I am, I kept jumping at bits, but the part that creeped me out the most was when the Doctor and the wolf had that sort of 'staring match' thing in the corridor - I think the tension/build up of things like that scares me more than the jumpy bits! sweatdrop Lol, the whole thing about the Royal Family being werewolves made me smile! xd I loved it!

I was quite impressed by the switching between accents though; it's hard to do sometimes - I remember having to go through five accents in quick succession for a play I did once which was a nightmare. Then again, it being a television show might have made it easier, what with being able to cut/reshoot etc... ah well, I just loved the Scottishness - reminded me of my other home! 3nodding whee Lol!

All in all, I loved it! mrgreen Though I rolled my eyes at the obvious Torchwood plug at the end. rolleyes

heart OMG, love. The whole thing was just awsome. It was really scary, and had I actually been watching it on the telly, I probably would have hidden behind the sofa. (And no other episode has done this to me, yet, strangely enough... Probably because I play too many survival horror video games... Anyone wanna take bets on wether I'll be hiding when I go watch the Silent Hill movie?) But alas, it's not playing on the telly, yet, in Canada, so I had to make due in other ways...

But in any case LOVED it. Loved the Torchwood mention, loved the werewolf, loved the whole "royal family are werewolves" bit (and apparently the Queen actually watches the show, so I hope for his sake that RTD thought to get her permission before including it), loved the monks, loved the refferences back to bad wolf ("there is some wolf in you"), loved the whole thing!
