Well there are two main reasons, I normaly like cats but...
Reason 1
My cat caught the cold and was sneezing for 2 days solid, he sleeps at the bottom of my brothers bed when his feoncie isn't staying over. The Cat gave Dave (my brother) the cold/flue and then Dave passed it on to his feoncie and me and I am running a tempagure of 101F and when I get that high I go loopy, I've been growling at anyone that comes near me, and I'm hulucinating a little. I had a dream about a pink Dalek that instead of fireing a death ray fired out big bubbles of gum, and when I woke up it was still floating about infront of me for serveral minutes before it disapeard...
Still not as bad as the time my tempagure spiked to 103F when I was a small chiled and the flowers on my wallpaper turned into singing mr potato head for some reason.
Reason 2
Those evil cats in survival that brought people back to that planet.

I'm not much of a cat person myself. A neighbor's cat killed my pet rabbit when I was 5...

You can judge for yourself...  She bullies me and everyone around me and she's bitten three of my friends. She's also been scratching my bedroom door open at 3am every morning for so long that I now automatically wake up 2 minutes before hand to open it for her... Mind you, she came from a strange family. Her father got ran over 3 times. This didn't kill him - he was up and about for 13 long years, torrorizing cats, dogs and neighbours until he had to be put down cos of arthritis. Hairy Priest I'm not much of a cat person myself. A neighbor's cat killed my pet rabbit when I was 5... Aww that's horrible. Personally I would have taken revenge on that flea bag. Though saying that if my cat got a chance at a rabbit...

Roobarb's cat reminds me of...  Roobarb Mind you, she came from a strange family. Her father got ran over 3 times. This didn't kill him - he was up and about for 13 long years, torrorizing cats, dogs and neighbours until he had to be put down cos of arthritis. Dang, that is one tough cat!

Hey wait a minute, why am I agreeing with you! When I was I think 6, my chidminders cat scratched me on the hand... And it's claw broke off and stuck in there. Cats are, in fact, evil incarnate. They are fed, watered, pampered and stroked and give precisely nothing in return. The day someone invents a can-opener that can be operated by paw, they are *outta* here...
May I recommend Terry Pratchett's seminal work, "The Unadulterated Cat"?
Dogs are so much better. You come home, they're happy to see you, no matter how good or bad a day you may have had. They are very appreciative of the slightest bit of attention you may give them. Wish I had a puppy...

crying No way! my kitty is AWESOME. He loves on us all the time even after we feed him. He's the sweetest cat on the planet! He's smarter then a nasty old dog too and MUCH cleaner.

My cat was so cute and sweet. She had a really fluffy tail, which got things caught in it really easily. She would always sleep on my spare bed, and would rub againsy your legs when she wanted a feed. She was the best. I don't think cats are evil.

Haha. You'd probably hate me. I have cat-like qualities. xD
For instance, I love warmth, curl up in it, and paw people if I'm in the right mood. Also, it's great to be waited on hand and foot - if I can get away with it - but that might just be women in general... x3
Also, I prefer cats over dogs - the dogs I like the most are huskies - because: they don't smell as much, they look after themselves a lot of the time, they seem more intelligent - I like that whole, "You wiggle that catnip mouse at me one more time and I'll claw your eyes out" look, it's character and more fun than, "Pantpantpantthrowthestickthrowthestick!" - than dogs, but CAN be cuddly... As well as "scratchscratchchew I'm going to eat your toes while you sleep".
Oh, but I've probably read too much Garfield.

...Our cat is terrified of the rabbits. They chase her. She's so funny. xD

Your probbaly a Therian like me, mentaly shift into a spacific animal and display behaivor typical to that animal. You are a cat, me I'm a wolf. I growl at people, when really mad I'm restaighning myself from bitting somone, whimper when sad or hurt, eat meat (my vegie portion is the cow eats the grass I eat the cow), use wolf body language, and can sence fear to an extent. And it's all on a subcouncouse level.
Oh yea and my cat is also terrified of birds... It's true, every time he tries to sneek up on one he gets so far, the bird turns ruffles it's feathers then he runs off in the other direction
