Background:
Deciding to continue his quest in making the perfect virtual reality game, CEO Seto Kaiba uses the idea of Noa Kaiba's virtual world as the basis for his new game; The World. Delighted at the completion of his ultimate game Kaiba invites the only people he knows who are stup... er gullible enough and willing to try his new game - Yugi-tachi.

Yugi-tachi, excited at the prostpect of trying something new, although slightly aprehensive after their previous experiences with such games, agree to try Kaiba's game. Thus Yugi, Joey, Honda, Otogi, Seto, Ryou and Malik, although neither are really considered apart of Yugi-tachi, are hooked to the game.

As Mokuba boots up the program that will send their minds into the game somethign goes wrong, a computer error occurs just after the participants have entered the game. What it does those watching on the outside do not know.

Meanwhile inside the game the gang is seperated and have no memories of the outside world, only the memories their characters are given. There is one other problem, the yami's previously tied to their hosts have also gaine bodies wthin the game. . .they have also forgotten everything. Tge only way for the group to get back is to find each other and complete the quests given to them while meeting strangely farmiliar characters.

Phew, now jus a few notes.

1) Characters such as Anzu, Isis, Mokuba, Rishid, Mai, Amalda, Varon, etc. While not hooked up to the program are characters that were pre-programmed into the game by Seto so they are available characters.

2) This is a fantasy/technological liek world; although to is mainly fantasy and some major cities do have technology just not what we have today.

3) Mystical creatures play a big part in this. It is important to know that most have become extinct and are very rarely seen.

4) if you play a character in The World you also play that character on the outside aswell.

5) The yami's and hikari's characters are all opposites of the same creatures; they're just light or dark depending on the person.

6) A note on malik and Amrik; they're elemental faeries, forest ones to be specific so they are closely tied to their forests. Malik's is an enchanted forest and Marik's is a dark forest.

7) Please i cannot stress this enough! Keep the your character OC and follow what character you set the in. Do not give them more abilities then their role has. Everyone wants to have fun and if we all follow what the character parameter is we'll all have fun.

I need to give credit to Mutuso because this is an idea we had brought up and done between ourselves a few times; I figured it would make for an interesting RPG on gaia. =)

Malik flew around the forst lazily, the green trees swayed as if to greet him. He smiled at them taking time to make sure each was healthy, as he slowly mad ehis way to the edge of the forest where he had spent all his life.

North, past the forest, past the lakes, above the islands, were ranges of tough moutains. The snow-covered caps were wastelands, so cold that even toundra flora refused to grow there. The earth there was red and rocky, only the thoughest animal living there, vegetation sparse. Even the smallest animals were at least omnivores, many forced into sparodic canibalism.

Bakura lived here, had lived here since he was 6. He had been an angel once, living in that floating land high above the mountains, where the air was strangely warm and he could watch over life.

But once, as he had decended to earth with a group of friends, they had been slaughtered by a demon- a demon which he, in his horror and anger, had destroyed.

Angels were not to harm any creature, and so he was cast from his home into the desolate mountains. His ten-year sentence was coming to a close, and the dark wings, having long turned a permanent black from both the throbbing pain in his soul and the soot that floated through the air, were torn in places.

He was not perfection. He was not creation. He had less worth than even demons- he was nothing.

But he was 16, so he could finally leave this forsaken land.

Hmm? Deranged, can I be yami-chan?

High in the sky hanging above the lands of men, beyond the reaches of those that were not to be mentioned, nestled safetly in the clouds were the cities of the angles. Well city would be a better discription. As with most mythologic creatures angels had died out as well leaving only a could hundred all huddle in one city; Angelica.

In this city lived the son of Amourina the queen of angels. His name was Ryou and he was doing the unthinkable, he was going to travel to the land of men. The white-haired, white-skined angel looked around him worridly making sure no one was near. Then with a deep breath he dove off the cloud and into the sky.

As he was flying he felt a sharp pain in his right wing, letting out a cry of surprise he faltered in his flying and was sent flying to the ground. Upon impact, with the ground, he blacked out; he was left lying there uncoscious, injured and vulnerable.

The broken once-angel had been staring at the clouds pensively when he had noticed a figure soaring gracefully through the mist. It had been too big to be a bird, and he knew just what was above his mountainous territory.

Dark-chocolate eyes narrowed. Perhaps they had sent him a messanger? Undoubtedly not- he was worthless in their eyes.

The creature suddenly twitched, and dropped like a rock to the ground, still several thousands feet below.

He walked towards the landing point, not bothering to hurry.

Once he reached the creature, he stared down at it in a mix of hatred and apprehension. His arms were crossed over a broad chest as he poked the creature with his foot.
