I know there was someone here who was very interested in Greece. I was just wondering if you could speak Greek?

I was trying to learn it a while ago when I lived with a girl from Greece, but that all went horribly wrong, and I stopped.

But I now want to start learning languages again. smile

So far I can count from 1-10 in 5 languages and 1-5 in another language (Not sure which one, or even if its right).

If anyone can speak any languages other than English and German would the consider teaching me?

Thanks. biggrin

I think you're thinking of me. I'm a Hellenic Polytheist and interested in many things Greek. I am interested in learning Attic Greek, but haven't had the time/patience to do so as of yet.

Thats one I haven't heard of before. smile

I certainly hope so, or I'll have to go back to school xd

Lmao.

I didn't know you were Norwegian. smile I just presumed (who knows why) that everyone here was American except Jelly and I. Well American or Canadian. biggrin

How do I ask where she is from in Norwegian? I'll send her a text just now and ask her.

It'll be a nice surprise for it to go through in Norwegian.

Did you also go to a school where you had to learn Swedish? I know some places you learn Swedish English French and Norwegian. smile

(I've met a few people from Norway in my time)

So excited, need to learn as much as I can. I'm supposed to go to Norway with her sometime. We're going to stay with her Dad and go skiing and such things. biggrin

I didn't learn swedish in school, but my dad is born in sweden so he used to speak swedish to me all the time when I was younger. Swedish and norwegian are pretty similar, so it's usually not a problem to understand eachother. We did learn english in school though, and had a choice between french and german (I chose french).

You can ask your friend 'Hvor i Norge bor du?' or 'Hvor i Norge kommer du fra?' biggrin

Hmm, no I don't recognize those... Do you know what they mean? It might be some kind of dialect that's pronounced that way, but written differently.
