Hello and welcome. Please call me Ms. Lillian Saire. I know, some of the older students are wondering where thier goast teacher is, he made himself fall asleep durig a class and so now I teach. I am Lilly's mother who has lived in the muggle world to raise her for many years. I have kept up on magical events. The begining of history is the current, so I will also be teaching current events. I am really just substututing until a more qualified teacher is found.

I will post a lesson for the class. It is to be learned, researched or whatever is told to be done. There will be homework but class time to do it. I will answer question as I am able. The way the muggle world works I can't even be gone for a day without thier police (law enforcement) knocking on my door.

Classes will be based on how long you have been here not your age or year.

Begining History of Magic

Lesson 1:
The front bored started to wite in chalk as the class began. "The assumtion is that you know nothing or much of the subject so no idea of where everone stands is needed. Let's start with a short lecture to see how well you learn."
A well-prepared speech for the lesson appeared on everyone's desk."
"Sorry, I could not attend our first class. Muggles prefer to know where everyone is and can't stand long absinces. If you have any questions just ask the classroom or leave a note any where here and I shall respond as quickly as I can.
We start today with the History of Hogwarts. This is where most of your time is spent, why not know a little about it first. You should all have your book(hopefully the most resent) ready for easy reference for this lesson. Instead of boring you on your first lesson, let's make it interesting, lets make it about a secret deep under Hogwarts, maybe even all the way onder the lake as well, let's learn about, The Chamber of Secrets.
The ledgend goes as follows.
. . . Slytherian had built a hidden chamber in the castle of which the other founders of the shcool knew nothing. He sealed the chamber of secrets so that none would be able to open it until his own true hier arrived at the school. The hier alone would be able to unseal the chamber of secrets, unleash the horrar within and use it to purge the school of all those who he saw unworthy to study magic.
As we all know the ledgend is not quite true in all aspects. Techlically the chamber has been opened many many countless times. Here is your homework.
1. What part of the ledgend is not entirely true and why?
2. How many times was the chamber used to purge the school, not indivisual openings, but how many sets of opening where there?
3. We know the chamber existed, but does it still exist? Please elaborate.
4. Explain the 'horror within'.

Yes, this assignment will take extra research and work but I believe that most if not all of the information can be found in your text books. What cannot be found there is avalible in the school library.

Intermidate History of Magic

Lesson 1:
"Let's see just how good you are." Was writen on the board. Professor Saire turned to the class. "A summer at least since your last class in this subject, let's see what you remember." Papers flew to each desk and landed feather-like on each. "I would hope no one will need thier books, or solely rely on thier books for this assignment. Let's have some fun with this too. A few questions are there just as fun-facts almost. Just to keep it interesting."
1. A brief summary of Alchemy.
2. Who defeated the dark wizard Grindwald in 1945?
3. Just for fun, who knows what Gobstones are?
Have some time? A little curious? Answer #4.
4. Without trying this yourself what happens to a salamander when fed a filibuster firework?

well i figured as a third year, lupy would either be in intermediate or beginner, based on how you choose to split it, either way, i care not as to which class he is in.

As for Raina, she is a 5th year, but she is highly inteligent, and is taking way more then the recomended amount of classes, not to mention, some of the more advanced classes for 6th and 7th years, so i figured she could handle the same load here, as in her other courses, if you see a problem with this, please let me know.
