If anyone just wants to jabber about the RP or the guild, feel free! We don't seem to have a place to chat about the RP, our characters, the guild, etc. So this isn't for talking about cyberpunk so much as the guild and RP.

I dunno if this is because the Cybernetics, Biowares, ect. page is unfinished but, I've looked through it and I can't find this one piece of equipment I saw in an equipment list for a Pencil and Paper game call Silhouette, I think that is it's name.
Silhouette has several generes in it one was cyberpunk. I rememebr under the cyberpunk items seeing something called a Optishield. It is a device that goes over the eyes and can had a LED display, Time and date, Thermal Vision, and Night vision. Basicly it was like a Cybereye without the cybernetics.
Anyway an example of this is in Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex: Second Gig. The 1st episode has a terrorist with a white visor like thing on his face that matched the description of an optishield. I just felt like metioning this object because I thought somepeople might like to use this piece of equipment for their chars biggrin

I had to rewatch that episode sweatdrop
what the terrorist is using is just a cheap version of a cyber eye/opti-jack set up. Designed for those who cannot afford too much beyond a cyberbrain, this device's price is drastically lowered because of its external nature nullifying the need for expencive surgery.
And to note, the list I have up now is a very basic list that will be expanded as I get the time and resources. I will keep that optishield item in mind when I get a chance to do an update.

I know it's a basic list so far, but I agree with the optishield being something for poorer people that is the equivilent of a Cybereye and optijack without nthe surgery. ONe problem with it is it's more noticable then a cyber eye though.

yeah definitly, especially in a world where information is the most valued prize. Letting your opponent know that you have ineffecient hardware could kill you before the fight begins

Yup, I also know of some other cybernetics, cosmetic cyberpunk stuff from the game also. Though some of the cosmetics don't seem so cyberpunk like.

I think making a thread in the cyberpunk discussion subforum would be a better idea . . . something along the lines of 'Possible Cybernetics,' or something like that would suffice I guess . . .

That would be cool, Cybernetics and what not, but beacuse it isn't so, and I feel like Pimping a HL2 Mod, If you have Half-Life 2 come and d/l the Demo of HL2's first and only Cyberpunk mod called Dystopia. The game is fun Corp vs. Punk Objective Team play. A selection of 3 classes, Light, Medium, and Heavy, with 3 weapons per class, one type of grenade per class, and a katana for the Light and mediums and a powerful fist for the heavy. There are also 10 different types of cybernetic implants you can use. From Thermal Vision to Cortex Bombs, from Stealh to Cyberdecks, and from Sound Suppresors to Leg Boosters. This game is very tactical and most people will find a comfortable cybernetics combination with each class. If you want any more info just go to Dystopia's Hompage. They have a beginners guide there too, and map walkthroughs.
