The Gingerbread House
♥ ... No one REALLY knows where the Gingerbread House is, but it's apparently close enough to the anthro shop so that nobody has much of a problem making it there to socialize. It's a small house from the outside, done up like a little house from the mid-fifties, the kind old ladies stop and call 'absolutely adorable', with ginger-brown wood siding, white trim that remarkably resembles fluffy white icing, and a bright perennial garden lining the walk, as well as windowgardens that fairly pop with bright flowers. There's even a trellis in the back garden that's crowded with ivy and blackberry bramble. However, from the inside... that's a different story. It looks as though there's limited space... VERY limited space, from the outside. But once you get inside... space seems absolutely not an issue. Each boy has his own room, and as more come in... well, they simply discover new rooms.
Best part about this gingerbread house is, there's no wicked witch waiting to fatten you up and eat you! :3 So, come right on in!

- Sander - Name: Sander Quintilius
Nicknames: San, Quin, or any other slightly foolish theatrical name he might happen to borrow that day.
Age: Eighteen, but he doesn't act a day over his ring size, most days.
Height: 5'6"
Likes: Shakespeare, monologues, raspberry truffles, white chocolate strawberries, bubble baths, gelato, key lime pie, marabou, and butterflies.
Dislikes: Dogs, wolves, bugs (especially spiders), salad dressing, winter, snow, sadism.
Strengths: A strong, lithe body and a strong sense of the theatrical.
Weaknesses: Cannot be logical, really. Has a hatred of winter and Christmas.

Guilty Pleasure: Sander will never admit it, but he has a fascination for mechanical objects. If he didn't love acting so much, he'd love to be on the stage crew or pull the curtains.

History: Once a fairly big-time dancer and theatre major in college, he fell on some misfortune -- a producer he was dating at the time to try and get into the scene did some despicable things to Sander, and then took off without a word. Sick at heart, Sander lost everything -- his job, his apartment, and his self-respect, and went wandering out into the street, where he chanced to find the entrance to the Gingerbread House, where he was welcomed as the first among many.

Likes: Cleaning (this is almost an obsession), tending the sick and wounded, taking care of others, making people smile.
Dislikes: Dirt/dust, loud noises, people who can't control themselves, losing his own self-control.

Guilty Pleasure: He will confess, but only under duress, that he has an unnatural passion for gingerbread.
Relationships: All of those in the Gingerbread House. He takes care of them almost mother-like. Imriel would like to think that the balance of power is tilted in his direction, but Rowan holds sway over the others with his quiet words and gentle but implacable ways.

History: Nobody really knows WHERE Rowan came from. He was just -there- when they needed him. Once Sander was evicted from his apartment, he was wandering hopelessly, weeping -- and then there was the Gingerbread House, standing there at the end of the path, its handsome white picket fence surrounding the verdant yard, its gardens all bursting with flower even in the dead of winter. The gate was surprisingly elaborate, and even so, had no handle to open it, or lock to close it. However, at a simple push, it swung open on well-oiled hinges, and there was Rowan.
He is strangely tightlipped about his past and himself, and is ridiculously good at averting questions, and answering in riddles. He won't even entertain a question as to why his eyes are so strange, or why his voice is so oddly inflected. When asked about the Gingerbread House, he merely replies, "You needed shelter."
Imriel can be quoted as saying, "I bet he is DEAD, as in mort, no longer living."
But Rowan won't deny or confirm.

History: An accidental import from the Queendom of Falena, Allegro arrived one day with some impressive changes to his person -- namely, the addition of multiple wings to his person. Bewildered and dismayed, he has spent much time simply trying to get his bearings.
Once the eldest son of Queen Arshtat Falenas and Queen's Knight Ferid Falenas, Allegro was the emissary of the Queen once he came of age. The Queen, the traditional bearer of the Sun Rune, went mad with it and nearly destroyed a local town (Lordlake). In a complicated series of events, a war was set in motion -- the Queen and her Knight died mysteriously, leaving their daughter Lymsleia in the charge of the people who had begun the war in the first place. Allegro was exiled from Sol-Falena, his home, and after many twists of fate, ended up the bearer of one of the Sun Rune's lesser daughter runes, the Dawn Rune -- and the victor in the war, restoring the rule to his younger sister.
After that, he traveled for a long time -- until one fine sunny morning he was traveling the ruins in an unknown land, and stumbled into a thick spiderweb. Pushing out the other side, he found himself both bewinged and bewildered -- in a new world.
