Did Lilly ever mention she hated kids? There was no way she couldn't have. Yet here she was...
Along with many other things, Lilly didn't believe in watches. She spent most of her day out here, anyway, so it didn't really matter. Random times were organized like she'd actually cared, minus the 5 AM class, which she hadn't been to happy about.
Then, she just occupied herself until whatever kid she was teaching showed up. Which it was this time, she couldn't remember. The name or the face, considering she wasn't sure she'd even ever seen them.
Maybe it was that Harper girl. Oh ho, wouldn't THAT be fun? Lilly grinned, baring some of her eerily sharp, white teeth.
While the students definately needed work (some WAY more than others), she enjoyed the ocassional training herself, and for whatever reason felt in the archey sort of mood. She'd already had a target set up on the single tree in the garden, anyway.
Whoosh! The arrow zoomed through the air and landed a bit off the bullseye. Lilly grunted in response. "Guess that's what I get for losing me one eye."

"Ymir that was tasty?" The boy asked, finishing the last bite of an apple that he'd aquired inbetween the two classes. The dragon nodded it's head once trailing along witht he boy. Keanu had given him some of the snack as well, meaning the somewhat spikey coated creature was pleased. Until he noticed what they where getting dangerously near... For the second time today.
"Chrr?"
"What? I have another battle class." The boy called, pausing to wait for the draogn which had stopped in it's track. The two tones creature eyed him a moment before starting again, though this time more grudgingly. More of the crazy whip woman. What a bother.
"Come on, don't give me that, it'll be fun. She's nice." Ok, so maybe that wasn't the right word. She was cool,? Because she knew how to fight, and all of that crazy stuff that Keanu tended to admire. Just as long as she wasn't evil, and she hadn't hurt anyone. Simply pursuaded them into action. Thus she couldn't be evil.
"Miss Lilly?!" The boy called, turning into the garden as he had earlier. Though this time he knew what to look for as he walked along. Quickly noticing at least one change in the area... A target on the tree? Ooh... Maybe he was going to learn how to shoot a bow? Some heros did know that. A good thing to learn!
"I hope I'm not late."

Lilly knew the problem wasn't she'd lost an eye, it was which eye she'd lost. That had been her good one, the one she'd originally learned to aim with. Once she'd lost it, it had been a pain in the a** to relearn things, and archery had yet to be mastered to the extreme level she'd once had a second time.
Narrowing the only eye she had left, she focused on the bullseye. She could do this. She was Lilly Ghardian, after all, and Lilly Ghardian could do whatever she wanted (save for raising a kid without killing them).
Miss Lilly?!
Just as she fired, the cry rang out. It was rare for Lilly to be taken off guard, but focusing so intensely on the target had left her no attention left to be spent on the world around her.
The bow lurched upwards and the arrow went flying into the air. Lilly growled between her teeth and quickly snatched a second one, loading it into the bow. Compared to before, she aimed amazingly quick and shot even faster, the second arrow coming to smash into the first and break it.
Both scattered to the ground, and Lilly turned toward Keanu and his dragon. Oh, this one again... "Aye, yer not late, boy."

The boy's eyes started to follow the arrow flew up into the air, then fell back as the teacher quickly moved again, this time sending the arrow crashing into on that had already been in the three. Right through it. Wow... Her aim was good. He'd never used a bow, like most weapons really. The constant 'that's to dangerous' chimed in his head as a reminder of why. Yes, his mum. He really didn't see why she was so worried about it, he'd never gotten hurt before. 'That's because you haven't used any weapons.' Once again another of her famous responses rang loud, and clear, and was quickly dismissed.
Weapons where only dangerous if you didn't use them properly. Anyone who hurt themself with one, and not someone else hurting them with it, just didn't know what they where doing. He was here to learn so he wouldn't try doing things wildly, and end up hurting himself. Thus, this was a good class, with a good teacher, because she had absolute control over how she used weapons. At least it seemed that way, she was good at controlling where the whip landed, right?
"Ah, that's good." He said happily, continuing to walk into the area. "And you're a good shot, I've never seen people doing archery in real life (because mum thinks it's bad), but that looked really good." He called, whispering the part about his mum to himself quietly.
Ymir didn't look as pleased as the boy though, but managed to look neutral as he trotted after the leopard, who seemed not the least bit tired from his morning. As some of the adults at the house said, Keanu had too much energy for his own good. This was just another outlet for it at the moment. Ymir had to agree, he wasn't exactly ready to be all awake, but he wasn't about to let Keanu come on his own either. What conflicting interests... Five more minutes, or hours of sleep, or keeping the boy in one piece...
"Cherruh..." He eyed the woman, proving that yes, he was paying attention, to avoid any further moments with the whip, and the 'pay attention.' Thing.
"So, is that what you're going to teach me? How to use a bow?" He asked, pleased with the idea. Bows could be useful too. Not as good as a sword, but still good enough.

Use a...? Yeah, fine, whatever. If the kid hurt himself it wasn't on her.
"Fine," the instructor agreed, as if she hadn't known the answer previous to the question. Which was true. Lesson plans didn't exsist when it came to Lilly Ghardian. Maybe she could get Raven to write something up. She liked doing that kind of crap, didn't she?
Lilly shrugged in response to her own silent question and lowered the bow. "Aye, me shots not as good as it use to be. Ya learn how to shoot when ya been in a war, so it's no unusual thing for the people where I come from."
For having only one line of vision, Lilly caught a lot. Though, it was easy to realize someone was more or less staring at you. "Ya can sleep for this one, if you want, Snowcone. I'll need someone ta blame if Spotty over here gets hurt."

Keanu smiled happily, always eager to learn skills he thought where useful. A bow, he'd never even thought about using a bow before. He continued to walk into the garden again as he glanced around, seeing if there where other targets. None seemed to be around though, so he turned his attention back to the teacher.
"Well, you ran the second one straight through the first, that seems like very good aim." He replied, before pausing. "But then again... I'm no expert, so I guess you would be right..." He replied, smiling his tail waving back, and forth as was common when he was pleased. "But, I'd be very happy to be able to shoot as well as that in time." Because nothing came instantly, one had to work at it. He knew that much.
Ymir tilted his head to one side as he was spoken to, obviously only somewhat amused by her joke. For it had to be a joke, right? "Chrr?" He glanced at Keanu, then back. Blaming this on him if it went bad? Oh, no... He'd stay awake for this one too...
"I don't get hurt, people only get hurt if they don't know how to use a weapon. But I'm here to learn how to properly use it, so I'll be fine." Keanu called, nodding a bit. "If people don't know what they're doing, of course they get hurt. That's why people like you are here to help us learn important things like this." Because otherwise he'd never manage to get his mum to let him take lessons. Yes, if this went well, perhaps she'd finally agree to letting him learn how to use something other than his fists to protect things.

"Mm..." Lilly's voice trailed off for a minute. It was a short span of silence, but in the company of one such as her, it was certainly odd. During such a time she'd rubbed her forehead in an odd way, looking rather annoyed by something.
"Aye, well, we'll need to go somewhere with more trees for ya," she said after lowering her hand. "Yer not gonna git much good outta hitting the same target over and over."
With the bow slung over her shoulder and the arrows gathered, she motioned with her freehand for both dragon and child to follow her as she decended into the forest behind the garden.
It was dark at first. Pitch black almost. But soon they reached a point where the trees began to thin and light shone down through the branches and leaves. It was here various wooden targets, some high, some low, were hung on many trees and scattered about.

Yes, the area was rather lacking when it came to things to shoot at. Even if he had tried he would most likely have simply destroyed more white flowers than targets, which would have likely earned the wrath of the instructor. Not exactly what he would have been intending to do, but it could have been the result. He quickly followed after the pink haired woman, Ymir trotting at his heels.
Some children might have been bothered by the dark created by the thick foliage above. Sadly, Keanu wasn't the case, he took to glancing around happily imagining all the evil demons that must be in the forest. Had he not been with a teacher he would have tottered off to slay them with Ymir. Keanu's fantasies would have sent most of the kids crying to their parents most likely. What with his deadly fights with gorgons, to slaying the cruelest of demons. Simply put, Keanu had some really strange ideas of fun, which fit all to well into a nice dark forest like this.
Though he wouldn't get a chance to think too much about it as before long they had moved past the thickest section, into an area more suitable for shooting. Which was obvious enough for even the somewhat simple minded feline, what with the targets hanging here and there. Though even with it being as plain to tell as it was he had to ask. "Is this the place?" Yep, Keanu definitely was not the brightest star in the sky. At least his heart was in the right place.
And one could always hope that maybe he would get better with time? Raven might eventually stuff some sense into the boy with her lectures in future classes.

"Aye," Lilly confirmed, glancing around at the set-up. It was hard to tell just what she was doing. Checking to make sure the targets were placed properly? Thinking something over, perhaps?
The instructor gave a sudden shrug and turned to Keanu, and in one rather impressive motion she removed the bow from her shoulder, tossed it and the arrows infront of the bow. "Lemme see ya on yer own first."

The boy waited a moment quietly after the single word was said again. He as clueless as to what she was looking for though his vigilence to wait on every word she said allowed him to be alert for when the bow and arrows where tossed in his direction. He caught both items that where tossed looking at them briefly as she gave him directions.
The only time he'd really seen a bow actually fired was when she'd used it. Still that was some idea. He set downt he quiver on the ground and took only one as he tried to mimic the posture. He likely had it all wrong and such was proven true when he closed and eye and took aim. The arrow fell about two spaced in front of him. What a successful shot indeed. "Er..." And he never liked failing at anything, even if it was his first try.

"Mm..." Lilly rubbed her temple and looked annoyed, though for what it was worth, not completely at him. For once, it was more the class than the student in it bothering her. She hated Attack classes. Kids tended to cry and parents got angry because of it.
But more than that, she hated teaching archery in it. Far from her weapon of choice. You couldn't hit or strangle someone with it like you could her oh-so-lovely whip.
"I dun think that's yer weapon right thur," she said shortly. "Ya seem more like a close-range type. Ya got any claws on them hands of yers, boy?"

((Yay for finally replying. >->;; ))
He also really disliked letting a teacher down. One that he wanted to have approve of him. Thus, the less than satisfied look on the woman's face did wonders to make the failed attempt seem any better.
He must have been REALLY bad at it. Which boiled down to needing even more practice with it.
Though at the comment he nodded. "Yea." He'd only used them to help with climbing in the past, but he did have a good set of claws. He released the bow with one hand to demonstrate the lovely advantage his genes blessed him with.
Well, he'd just have to practice the bow some other time. Close range was more his forte anyway. He'd been practicing with one form of it for a while now.

Because Lilly never had been one to concern herself with that pesky personal space, she grabbed Keanu's hand and examined his claws thoughtfully. Her finger tapped on one of them, and she seemed unphased by the cut doing so caused.
"Not too bad," she admitted. "Yer one of the lucky ones, kitty cat. You got a weapon built into ya. I'd suggest ya focus on learnin' how to work with that before anything else."

Personal space? Keanu didn't know the meaning of the words, he tended to get in anyones face if he wanted to talk to them. So what she snagged his hand he only had a minor insinctive pull back before he watched her cause herself some harm. Well he couldn't really be blamed for that. The next comment even caused a grin. Praise was good, even if it just meant that he had a 'built in weapon' as she put it.
"I've been practicing some hand to hand combat since my mum let me go to lessons." He quickly offered up hoping to please the teacher. "I've been training really hard to get good at it." Of course there had to be more to learn. "But I'd love to learn new ways to fight so I can be more versatile in battle." Fact was that you would never know what you where going up against. Best to be prepared.
