A deep sigh escaped those thin pale pink lips of Madeline's as she began to browse through her folder again.
Madeline,
The following children need to be vaccinated:
Ligeia/ Ter
Keanu
Simon
Nero
Indigo
Sahra
Your first appointment will be with Ligeia at 10:00am today. Keanu 12:00pm A reminder that they will be needing Chickenpox, Mumps, Meningococcal, Tetanus, Measles as well as immunizations which cover their animal DNA (i.e. Rabies, Kennel Cough)

She had scribbled and crossed off some stuff over the cover sheet but it was apparent who her next patient was to be. Keanu...DNA, snow leopard. Mother's last name...? Hmn, there didn't seem to be one listed, oh well there was no more time to try and get proper introductions ready. It was already 12:00pm Keanu should have been coming any minute.

'Keanu, sweety. Be nice to the doctor, ok? I wanted to go with you, but mommy has to go to work at 9 like a good mommy, so...' And she hadn't bothered to finish. Out the door, and off to work. She never did say what work was.
Keanu glanced at the red head beside him, he looked about as emotionless as usual. Blank expression, narrowed eyes, one covered by his hair. Which... Never seemed out of place, even as it was somewhat untamed. How did the follow do it? Hair never fell over his other eye, even though the other sides bangs where equally long... Perhaps he should ask his secrets, it would help the boy evade further needs to trim the bangs, which where getting rather annoyingly long.
"You're fine with the shots?"
"They'll make me stronger against bad things, of course I'm fine." The boy replied, giving the draogn beside him a slight stroke along it's head. "Besides, shots aren't scary. It's just a little needle, right?"
"Mmm hmm, then this will be easy, and we can go back soon."
"Of course!" He called, skidding one foot along the ground. The shirt he was wearing would be a slight hindrance to the woman for starters though, the usual bandages tied around points he had ripped in one way, or another. That sleeve wouldn't roll up so easily, but the fur in itself... Well the boy didn't realize it yet, but he might not resist shots, but he wouldn't be that easy to give them too.
"That's good, because we're here..." The red head knocked once on the door, before opening it slightly. "Excuse me, we're here for-"
"Cheerah!" The dragon called cheerily, shoving it's faceint he crack, and pushing his way in to see the woman. Perhaps he could get a bit of attention from this one, he eyed her happily.
"We're here for my shots." Keanu replied, walking in after the dragon. Haruki followed shortly after, sitting in the chair that was off to the side. Obviously he was content to stay out of it if Keanu thought he could deal with it on his own.

It startled Madeline to hear a human voice but see a drangons head peeing through her door. In fact it made her do a quick jump back into the cabnits in the room. Good thing she had been raised in heals. Any mere mortal woman might have tripped over herself, but oh no, not Madeline, she had practically been born with the torturous shoes attatched to her feet.
She quickly composered herself but was then at a loss. The man that entered the office....he well...he shouldn't have been a man! She looked down at the page in her hand. Yes, Keanu had a mother not a father, at least he didn't have a father listed.
"Erm--yes, of coarse you are." Madeline cleared her throat as she smoothed out her rumpled doctors coat. "You must be Keanu," She gave the child one of those overly sugary smiles of hers that she did oh-so-well. "And this must be..." she eyed the dragon, not quite sure what to think of it. Were dragons even allowed in this facility?

... Haruki didn't bother to respond to the rather odd look he got. He got them for many reasons, his appearance, be it positive, or negative. The fact he carried a book that weighed as much as a bowling ball, and didn't seem to notice it. Or the fact that he 'looked like a girl' as Raja liked to put it. 'A flat chested girl, and oyu act like one to-' she didn't get to say more. By that point she was knocked out by a book, and would have a good lump,a nd a headache to accompany it for her words.
"This is Ymir!" The boy said happily, his tail waving from side to side as he looked up at the woman. "And yep, I'm Keanu. Here to get my shots, like I said." He added, patting the draogn on the head.
Ymir wasn't to be bothered by her surprise, and persisted in begging for a bit of attention, not really realizing he might not have belonged in there. Not that he cared, he would have torn off a door if they'd tried to stop him. He didn't let the leopard out of his sight when they left the house, and this... Well it certainly wasn't home. "Cheerup?"
The red head sighed, preparing to open his book. "Raja sadly, had work to go to this morning at 9am, she was not able to make it to the appointment. I am here in her stead. My name is Haruki Mitsu if you need that for the paperwork, Keanu shouldn't be a problem, he says he's fine with getting his shots." He replied, glancing up slightly. "If there is anything else you need to know please say it now, if not I'll be reading for the duration of this." He added, glancing back down, and not really waiting for a reply.
"Mm hmm, mum said they would be good for me, and keep me healthy. I need to be well, and not sick if I want to save people, and be a hero. So I want to get my shots." The boy chimed, smiling, anything that made him stronger was a good thing. And he knew very well his mother wouldn't have signed him up for something dangerous, seeing ashow she always worried about him getting hurt.

"Eh--" Madeline was at a loss for words about 'Ymir'. Like before, first off she wasn't sure if dragons were allowed in the examination room and secondly, all though she knew much about dragons, she had never really been around real dragons all that much. She finally brought herself to tap the beast on the head, just a light pat.
"Well, Mr. Mitsu, it is a pleasure to meet you," Madeline's brife encounter with awkward ness ended as she went back to business, starting off with shutting the door. "Keanu will be getting seven shots today, he needs Kennel cough in additon to the regular six," She nodded towards the examination table. "Keanu if you could please have a seat on the exame table and---" she stared at his garments for a moment, "---remove your shirt," that would be simplest.
"I will get the injections ready. Yimir can have a seat on the ground near you, if you would like, that is--if it would make you feel more comfortable." Even if Keanu seemed ready for his shots, it was possible he had no idea what was going to happen, and flip the moment he saw the needle. You could never be sure with children, sometimes the bravest looking actually ended up being terrified, while the scared ones like Ligeia actually ended up being just fine. Madeline didn't want to take a chance on an upset child.

The dragon seemed pleased with the tap, and strolled back over to stand beside Keanu, listening as there was talk. Talk, people did that a lot. "Chrr."
"Mm hmm, a pleasure to meet you as well." He replied, looking up for a moment as he replied, before obviously delving into his book. He flipped a page before long. Yes, he was reading again, best not to disturb him until this was over with.
"Of course!" The boy replied, easily hopping back, and onto the table lightly so he was sitting on it, his tail waving back, and forth easily, the tip hanging over the edge. He quickly pulled loose the bandages he used every day; so he was used to it, and tugged off the black, well 'loved' shirt. He wasn't the least bit embarrassed about it either, such things didn't figure into his mind. He leaned to one side, trying to see what the woman was doing with her back turned to him. Filling some stuff it looked like?
"Six huh? Ok, that's fine. "He replied, glancing down at Ymir to deal with the dragon. "Sit down next to the table, if you're good maybe she'll give you a nice backscratch?" He said, and that seemed to please the white dragon, as it plopped down next to the table out of the way, watching both of them curiously with his wings curled. Obviously the idea of attention in a positive way was a good bribe for the creature.
"Ymir wouldn't stay outside if I told him to, that's why he's here. I'm fine. It's because he'd be unhappy, or break the house door if I left him at home." The boy began to shift his legs, kicking them out, then letting them fall back. Obviously completely at ease. "Is it fun to be a doctor?"

It made the prim and proper blonde happy to see that young individual such as Keanu was able to understand the feelings of others, even if it be his dragon. Knowing that he seemed to care for Ymir so much made Madeline content, it was a sign of a good individual. Keanu was defiantly being raised right at home...his mother must be a very wonderful woman, unlike the gentleman who had shown up with him, it seemed like the man could care less what was happening to the boy.
"Fun to be a doctor?" Madeline had just finished turning around with a tray of needles. "Well you see--I'm not really a doctor." It seemed the correct thing to say. "I'm just filling in as one. But yes, I do enjoy my work." For someone as simply intelligent and rich as Madeline, she must have enjoyed her work, other wise she wouldn't have been working for D-crop.
"Now lets see here..." Her words drifted off as she gently took Keanu's arm in her hand, straitening it out in hopes that she may find a vein to p***k. Yet, alas, all she could find was fur on the fluffy beast. No matter, she tried pulling the warm coat of fur back...hmmn, that didn't help much either. "I'm afraid I will have to shave you a bit." Madeline said as she turned back to the counter for a razor. "Not to worry, it will only be a small patch," she assured Keanu by giving him an extra warm smile.

Frankly, Haruki didn't care because Keanu didn't want hi to. Keanu wanted to prove he was not a little kid, so Haruki didn't treat him like one. If he behaved well, he let him alone. It was as simple as that. Keanu wanted to be respected, and allowed to make his own choices, far be it for Haruki to go out of his way to coddle the kid like that feline did. It was obvious the boy hated it, so why should he put extra effort to end up hated? The important thing was that the boy listened when he did give a command, and he tended to, so all was well. At least as far as Haru was concerned. Oh, he liked this section of the book... It was where they went on about...
And Keanu was perfectly fine with the conversation, blissfully sitting there. "Oooh... I see." So she wasn't a doctor, how odd... But oh well, she seemed to know what she was doing, it was fine. Well until...
"Shave..?" Both of the felines ears went straight up, and he went rigid at the mention of it. One eye might have even twitched as the childhood fear returned again. "Er... what do you mean... I'm just supposed to get shots..." And all the confidense was gone from his voice, well most of it... Not quite all. He let his arm fall back down, gripping the side of the table with both hands. "I... I don't like scissors... and that stuff..." He mumbled, shaking his head. "I came for shots, no one said anything about having to cut anything..."
Inside of the boy's head a rerun was playing. Well a memory.
'You stupid brat! Get back here! You broke my new CD!'
The pitter patter of little feet, and a bouncing room as he ran along. Tripping, scrambling back up, running further.
'I'm going to cut off those ears of yours I swear!'
Glancing back... Scissors in the others hand. Then crashing into something.
'ISSALE WHAT IN GOD'S NAME ARE YOU DOING!?'
Looking up at his mum. Safe...
"...I didn't agree to getting cut up..." He shook his head again, releasing the table, and clutching first his head, then recalling what the woman had said. His arm... She was going to cut his arm. "No, I didn't agree to that."

Even as the boy was speaking, obviously now contrary to the woman, Haruki didn't bother to look up, and simply turned another page. Hmmm... Interesting...
Keanu on the other hand, quickly turned from being open, and friendly to defensive, ears laying back against his head. No, no... Things like that where bad... The very sight of the thing had brought a few visions back, the threats that Issale had shouted. This deffinitely wasn't going to happen.
Then what she said... That didn't help any either. Un-necessary blood? So she was going to cut him! He quickly tried to draw his arm away again, instinctively kicking out with one leg. He'd been taught those things in self defense, well wasn't this protecting himself? "No!" He yelled as he lashed out at right below the womans chest with his foot.
The sudden shout did cause Haruki to glance up, but he didn't bother to do anything. The sight of the razor explained it all. What was it... Hadn't Issale threatened to kill Keanu with one of those before. Yes... Raja had insisted on ranting to him about that for an hour. What ill fortune for the woman to have to bring that up near the boy.
Ymir on the other hand was alarmed by the sudden change, and was trying to figure out just what had happened. Obviously the woman was the one at fault, right? He gave a quick annoyed chirp, or a growl... One could rarely tell, be he'd pushed himself to his feet, obviously going to do something about the whole mess.
Well this certainly wasn't going well...

This entire scene might have been more amusing had it not been for the fact there was one hyperventilating snow leopard, and now officially ticked off woman. Keanu was close to spazzing out as the woman started to move again, seeing as how the battle was obviously not over. He wasn't exactly harmless either when he was frightened. He'd just proven that all those years of practice paid off when he sent the woman into the cabinets. She may have been bigger than he was, but adrenaline compensated for that.
But that alone would not be enough, for she was back up on her feet and ready for round two. Lucky for her she had a secret weapon against the boy, or this really might have gotten ugly, what with claws and more kicking.
Keanu eyed the woman as she stood at the counter, noting a lack of the razor and relaxing just a tad. No more evil cutting devices, excellent. There was nothing to worry about now, or so he thought. Thankfully for Madeline, Keanu had no idea what chlorophorme was, if he had known this wouldn't have been so easy for her.
Any sense of safety Keanu had begun to have quickly left as she darted forward, and caught his hair. It might not have been as easy, but the boy hadn't been as alert as he was a few moments earlier and was caught off guard. He quickly inhaled in shock which in itself was a mistake as he did that just as the woman slammed the fabric over his face. Very bad move indeed. Almost immediatly it had an effect on him, a wave of drowsiness dulling his senses. Even so his hands reached up to claw at the thing over his mouth, nails scratching at the hand feebly for a few seconds until the stuff did preciesly what it was meant to.
Knocked Keanu flat out. Well, that was definitely make things easier.
Durring all of this Ymir had been, butting at Madline's leg with a paw. He wasn't quite sure what was going on, but it didn't sound like a vicious fight. Keanu wasn't yelling anymore so did that mean it was alright?
And Haru? He was silently congradulating Madeline on dealing with Keanu's phobia in such an orderly fashion.

Madeline inhaled sharply, causing her lips to create a hissing sound. Blood. Her hand, her beautiful hands, were being torn to shreds...such delicate beautiful white skin now shredded into a carpet of red and pale cream. But Madeline stayed strong. She was angry. On the outside she may have seemed lady like and quiet. She was actually very nice most of the time. But when it came to down to war, Madeline wasn't afraid to fight dirty. The proper blonde hated to loose. You know, she was one of those children who had been raised to always get what they wanted.
Up and down her chest rose, her eyes shrunken as she watched the snow leopard finally sink down into submission. Out cold. If she didn't know better, she would have said he almost looked dead. Good thing he was only asleep and not dead. Other wise Keanu's mother might have had a fit. Haru on the other hand.
Madeline quickly glanced over her shoulder and giving the red head a looks of disbelief. How could someone just sit there watching, as a she...then again, if Madeline had been the one in the chair she probably wouldn't have gotten up to help. Yes, it was possible that he didn't want to interfere thinking that he might get in the way. He was forgiven.
Standing up strait, Madeline let out a huff as she ran a hand through her hair trying to straiten it out. Up and down her hands went over her uniform, making sure that not so much as a fold was out of place. Ah, perfect again. Madeline was content. With out a word she went to the sink to clean up. She bandaged her hands, and added some anti-biotic. Her stomach hurt, later, she would have to make sure he hadn't damaged anything don there.
Back to work, before you could blink an eye, Madeline had Keanu shaved Keanu and shots taken care of. All was well now. Madeline was never one to hold a grudge. Although...she did perhaps shave a little more than necessary of Keanu's arm.
"He'll wake up in a few, mister erm...Haru. However I must be off, another appointment. Please forgive my brief departure, would you?" She smiled as she turned and left.
