I love guard and can throw a quad with my rifle! I need to work on it and make it perfect, though, then I'll move on to fives!!!! w00t! I'm the only freshman who can throw even a perfect triple *brag* Flag doubles are fun as well. biggrin

oooh! *bows before the accomplished freshy* hehee xp I was never terribly great on rifle... I much prefer my sabre *hugs the sabre* I think some of the best moves I've seen were:
1) one of the girl's in winterguard did a toss turn-a-round w/ a flag eek heart *much jealousy*
2) another girl did a horizontal on the rifle, then lay down and caught it. eek eek *so much envy*
I got to fall off a wall, though. xd

I got to fall off a wall, though. xd biggrin Thankies. I love rifle. I'd like to say it's my fave, but I haven't spun sabre, yet, so I can only compare it to flag. But that's what I prefer it over. ^^ I can almost do a toss turn-around with a rifle, but not a flag. Actually, I haven't tried on a flag. Not the High School size, anyway. In Junior High winterguard I could do a toss turn-around with those small, light flags. And I can do a parallel with a flag, but not a rifle, and I can't lay down and catch either. w00t, falling off a wall........ that'd be fun.

hehee, I love all horizontals! heart That's my absolute fave toss. It's not hard on weapons, you just have to get the wind-up right, and w/ the rifle, make sure you keep it flat *shrugs*

I used to be able to do a really good toss turn around w/ my sabre, but alas, it's been too long... I really like catching behind the back though... Oooh! I really fun toss! Try doing a horizontal w/ your flag, and catching it behind your back ... (sorry to be lamen here, but catch it behind your back w/ the flag on the right, w/ your left hand. and no, you shouldn't have to turn around) whee xp I learned that at a drumb corp camp... among other things ....
they also wanted me to do a one-handed horizontal... umm, I almost took my head off, so... yeeaaah... sweatdrop

Yup, I can do horizontals. They are fun. I can do them one-handed as well as two.
I'm nevous about Friday. it's our fist football game, and we're performing. Today at practice there's a toss I have to do while side-jazz-running xp During run-through, I totally screwed it up, and the next thing I knew, I was on the ground. And my flag was in my face. I almost got stepped on by a baritone coming forward and the other guard girl coming from the side. gonk
If that happens on Friday, I'll cry. crying
I was surprised my director didn't say anything about it. She was standing on the front side line 5 feet in front of me. Usually she would've made fun of me or something.

Isn't horizontals called paralles???? Well i like weapon line period this year we had to sign up for what equipment we wanted to do i wanted both but they put me on rifle but today we learned that the rifle line is touching everything, as in saber, rifle (Fav), and flag.
Oh, well i can throw a 5 and can chuck a 6 and 1/2 (Brag) on rifle and last year we learned to toss a double under a flag and turn and catch.

Awesome, Archer! *nods* biggrin
and, Neko... I can do the normal horizontal that starts behind your back... the one they wanted me to do started in front, with the flag on your left, holding alfie in your rt. hand... then you just sort of whip it out to the side, and then... that's when I almost took my head off... sweatdrop redface
I like rifle, in fact I used to have one (until someone broke it stare ) but now I have a sabre, and I find I'm much better at it, anyway. *shrugs* guess it all works out in the end, huh? xp

Start behind my back.
Last night at practice, during the same part I fell on, we were running the show, and the student teacher was on the field, helping the battery. He was in my way during the accursed part. He saw me coming, and the foolish mortal DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE WAY. stressed I'm sorry, i don't care how stupid you are, when someone comes running at you, swing a big flag, you MOVE. scream So this guy TOTALLY ruins my part, and I end up having to swerve around him, making my drill messed, too. stressed stressed stressed I gave him the dirtiest look possible.

*nods* yep yep... we were always told, that all you have to do is say 'drill', then it's open season, baby. twisted hehee.... I nearly took out a judge once. I think I was doing a windmill or something... I promis you I would have made it hurt, and I don't care if it messed up my work. I'd get back in. 3nodding I took out one of my own guard members once, in practice. (not on purpose though, I couldn't see her. She was behind me, and actually it was both our fault sweatdrop )

whoops. redface I'd be apologizing all night if I hit a fellow guard member.
I did hit a sousaphone once (not the player, the instrument) He looks at the horn and goes, "that dent wasn't there before" redface

The only reason why there are so many dents because they can't get their drill right. One of them is already freaked out if you spin near him.
