A girl sat at the end of Pinako's table, staring at her automail hand, apearing dorwned in thought. It was only then that Edward realised what had happened to her to get that hand. Not only that, his father sat opposite her. Only that was enough to forget the world around him and frustrate.
"You.. Why are you here?!"
"Edward..."
The girl got up and sighed, the n turned her head towards Ed.
"He came to bear some rather brutal news, Fullmetal. As well as have I... Sit down, we need to talk."
"But we don't even know you!"
This time, Al spoke, since Edward seemed aghast at the familiar tone of the girl's voice.
"Boys, sit down, this isn't a proper moment to lose your time..." Pinako said, as Winry shouldered her way through the two in the doorway.
"Grand-ma? What's--"
Her question didn't need answering seeing both a forgotten father and an other State Alchemist.
Some one in the military had died.

Storyline
Easy enough; Ed, Al and Winry are just being escorted(again... -_-) By Alex Louis Armstrong to their hometown for a visit... But it' mostly so Ed can get rid of Winry; She's getting on his nerves, always hitting him with her wrench... Poor guy crying
In any case, it's when Ed comes in first that he sees his dad sitting at the table again, talking to Pinako. Ahem, right, um, let's say none of the three are happy, and that freak Armstrong isn't really getting why everyone is so upset.
Ends up that the three have to stay a few days with mister Elric...
Hm, wonder what this is all about? he made such a fuss about never having to taste Pinako's meals before...
And as if that wasn't enough, some girl is staying there too! She's called Anna Belrith, but... There's something fishy about the way she breaths, AND she always wears gloves...

Age: 13
Position: Just a normal state alchemist, passed her test this year.
Alchemy: Ahem.. Um, well, yeah... She's almost commited suicide by giving up portions of her left body and, uh well.. She has SOME knowledge of the True one, but she sacrficed a leg and both hands to kow more... -_-
Appearance: Anna (just ignore the hat and scarf and put some big coat, leather pants and a tank-top...)
Biography: When she was youngER, say 5 years old, Anna lost her third sister, Rebecca. Yes, she DOES have a sister, a 17 year old one called Lia. When they lost their sister, they couldn't bare the pain... So they dove into the forbidden alchemy books and...
Five years afterwards, the living Belrith sisters tried out human transmutation... But not to revive their dead sister. They tried reviving their neighboor's baby, Annabelle, since she died most recently and it was a good way to test out alchemy... But it cost a fair price...
anna lost the portion of her left body from the end of the ribs to her hip. She had to have some kind of 'advanced' automail to fill in the the parts of her organs that were touched. Lia endured similar damages although her organs were left untouched.
But after... Even though Anna couldn't managed to revive a baby, and suffered dearly for an innocet mistake, she returned to that door... She had to learn more about the True Knowledge... She then lost both hands and a leg; from her ankle to her knee.
After those tourmenting events, at her 13th birthday, she went to pass the exam to become a state alchemist... And she passed, hands up, along with Lia.
The reason?... They want to become stronger to protect those who are innocent from dying so that their loved ones don't have to suffer like they did...2. Username: Minasia

Position: State Alchemist, like Anna... Her sister.
Alchemy: Like her sister, Lia has given up the same body parts as 'passage fee', but she's seen different things that her sister. Parts of the True Knowledge Anna has seen haven't been unveiled to Lia.
Appearance: Lia... -_- Yes, she's already been on a boat and had to save the sorry butts of the sailors...
Biography: Her life is pretty much like Anna's... But there a few things that Lia knows that her sister dear still ignores.
Lia's passed the last three years of her life in the desert and has met various alchemists and learned much from them. As she ventured through the sand plains, she amazed people everywhere with her already vast knowledge of alchemy. As she crossed the desert... Her name had become something else; Desert Wanderer, Desert Alchemist, as well as many other things. Lia Belrith had been bannished from her mind until she met someone from Amestris who knew her...
A year after that meeting, Lia returned to her homeland and interveened more than once in street battles around a few towns... And everyone was amazed as to the way she was dressed; Her clothes were shreaded from wear, tear and battle.
She quickly sought out a hotel and stayed there for a while... Before reuniting with Anna.
They stayed at a small inn until Anna was called out by the military saying someone was killed... And she thus was sent off to Riesenbull. Lia was left alone, so she decided to leave the Inn and pursue her sister from afar...
[Side Note: Lia is only a character who's there once in a while, like in grave situations... She also makes her first appearance in the beginning. Other than that... Ed groaned and picked up his suitcase which he slung over his shoulder. "Of all the people who had to escort us, it had to be Armstrong. Oh, and we can't forget little miss princess either." He glared at winry over his shoulder. "What a day..."

Anna paced nervously on her side of the table, pretty much getting on Pinako's nerves. Couldn't help it; She was nervous. It was what, three days before her birthday? And now she had to announce something like THIS to a State Alchemit, and a renouned one at that!! Come on, Edward Elric!? What the heck was Mustang thinking?!?!
Oy.. Oh well, for a tenth mission, this was probably the most boring, hard and heart-breakin one yet...
She froze in her steps, noticing three distant figures in the distance...
'Oh no, not yet, not now... I can't do this..."
anna sighed desperately and pushed back her dark brown hair to tie it with a small red rope; it was a symbol of her sister...
((I forgot to mention this... [silly me sweatdrop ] But Al and Ed have returned to their original selves... ^^ And they're just annoyed with Winry around, so yeah...))

Anna seemed quite nervous, and by the look of her face, she didn't seem to know any one of the three who just stepped through the door. No.. She was just a messenger... And here for a little checkup.. ^^
"My name's Anna belrith and I was sent to see you by Cl. Roy Mustang to bear some... rather disturbing news... If you would please all take a seat..."
Great, what now? Shuold she just blurt it out? No, that wasn't like her... She'd just take a deep breath, calm calm, and sit down. She'd then calmly explain the situation before gonig out...
Oh great.
It started to rain...

"Ah, uh... Well, it's not because it wasn't important... He had to assist the dispached group to the desert to confirm the identity..."
Anna took a deep breath, not knowing wether she'd get out of this alive or not... Either way, if she didn't say it, she'd die because of silence... How Ironic is this?
"Sir Edward Elric, I came here firstly to meet you as to what you performed a few years ago, but mostly because I had to announce you the death of 2nd Lt. Maria Ross. She was discovered stabbed three times in the desert near the borders of Amestris... She told to a few trsted friends that she was heading toward the core of the desert where she'd check up on a few friends that I trust you know..."
