-Also at the end of the series the main bad guy gained horns, and talked of a plan...
What is his plan? Maybe its not the end of Elfen Lied? Maybe we're all just waiting for a season 2...I along with a few friends am praying for a season 2, since we all know that an anime is never over as long as the main bad guy is defeated...

I heard there is a manga series out. If there is it will go on and it will have things they left out of the anime, but there will also be stuff thats not there.

I would place them between 15 and 18 because they appear to be in their teen years. I think that they are around 17 or older because of the main character (I can't remember is name, god damn my soul to an eternity in hell) lives alone. I think his cousin is younger. I think that Lucy is probably around the same age as him. Nana is probably closer to his cousins age, maybe a little younger. Anyway just a thought.

I was just watching Elfen Lied last night and it turns out that they are college kids. So that places them any where between 18 and like 25.

Yeah I thought Kouta was in the earlier years of college so always assumed he was 18/19. Lucy always seemed older to me, she was very mature and serious I would have said about 22, Nana and Mayu I would have said were about 10... (did I get that right? Mayu???)
Also has anyone seen the anime series Please Teacher? I always thought Nyu/Lucy and Kazame were similar... just my little observation.

Also forgot to post what I thought twisted (< thats my evil guy) plan was. I think he wanted to be able to control the Diclonius so he could destroy all humans with a select few safe. He wanted to be able to control the virus... anyway I think you get what I am saying... I'll go now...

Nana is around 13 by 14...along with Mayu. (Mayu's school uniform sort've gave me a sense...)

When we meet Mayu she says she is 13 turning 14 so that gives us her age. And Lucy is the same age as Kohta if not a bit younger. And Kohta is first year at uni.

correct me if im wrong but it seems that lucy is the only diclonius called by a name not a number like nana is called number 7 and mariko is called number 35

Lucy is eighteen years old, and Kouta is 18-19. Yuka is the same age as him- Lucy may be more mature, but that's because of her harsher lifestyle. You'll notice that she and Kouta were the same age when they first met, which was ten. She said herself that that was eight years ago, so if you put two and two- Or maybe ten and eight- together, this is what you get. Mayu is fourteen as of now (Duh) and Nana is just a bit older than her (By a few months I'm guessing) Mariko is five in the manga, but in the anime she could be a bit older. Nozomi is the same age as Kouta and Yuka, and Wanta is younger than all of them xD
Aww, I feel Uchiha Arukan's pain, I wish Nozomi had been in the anime! She was by no means an important character, but I liked her all the same.
Lucy doesn't survive....? I'm going to kill the artist....
