I'm unsure of whether to get an old bug or a new jetta for my first car (I'm a little late in getting my license, as I never get the chance to practice driving even though I've already had driver's ed, so I won't be getting my car for a while). I'd like an old Bug because they're really easy to maintain without a mechanic, but the newer Jettas have great crash-ratings and have such wonderful gas mileage.
One thing's for certain though. Whatever I get-even if it's not a VW at all-is going to become an art car. blaugh

My uncle had one of the VW Minibuses, but he sold it on Ebay. It didn't really work anymore. When I can drive, this fall biggrin , I'd love to get a minibus. My mom thinks I'm wierd, but I love those things. I'm going to be stuck with her jeep until I can buy my own car.

I already drive a Nissan Pathfinder. I probably won't get my license for about another month, however. Anyway, I don't think I'll be gettin' some hippie car soon because I conveniently didn't have to pay for my Pathfinder (my dad's a Nissan mechanic, and well, we all use the car), and if I wanted a different car I would have to pay for it. Not to mention that the hippie cars of the present are those that pose the least danger to the environment. 3nodding
So I guess I'm just a bit more practical than I am sentimental.

So I guess I'm just a bit more practical than I am sentimental. That's why Lattu's buy schoolbuses, take the engines out, and have them replaced with environment-friendly engines. Like solar engines, 'cause I don't need to drive a schoolbus when it's dark anyway!

I've wanted a Volkswagen Beetle ever since I can first remember playing the "SLUG BUG!!!" game. . . When I was, like, five. . . They're the coolest cars ever. >: But, no. I got a Cavalir instead.
