3. [Biography]
Name - Akira Maine.
Nicknames - Kira, Maine, Kir, Little Lupus(New one, Lineslieth calls him this from time to time).
Age - 13
Sex - Male.
Path - Bonded - Deity: Anubis - [Egyptian] god of mummification, ability to communicate with dead and death.
Race - Altered Human - Black Wolf.
Feed - Yes, Akira had one implanted when he arrived at the shelter, so they could keep an eye on him.
Personality - See below.
-Physical Appearance-
Height - 5'3" ( o: He grew!)
Weight - 120lb
Body Alterations - Black wolf ears, and a wolf tail, elongated canines, and now Black Dragon wings.
Skin Complexion - Pale. Not sickly pale anymore, but pale.
Hair length & Style - Black hair, it's slightly longer, and droops over one of his eyes.
Eye colouration - Red.
Tops - Dull, dark. Akira prefers shades of gray and green, as they are his favourite colours.
Bottoms - Usually baggy, tattered trousers or jeans. Black.
Shoes - If he isn't bare footed, then he wears boots. Black.
Accessories - A necklace, made of polished bone and tooth of various dull colours, the centrestone is indigo.

While Akira still struggles with reality, and his confidence, he is indeed less unstable. Now, he chooses to be calm over jittery. Cold over angry, and happy over sad.
His bond has enabled him the luxury of better understanding his surroundings, and the spirits within his world. Unfortunately, he still doesn't have control over when he sees them, and it's likely he never will. Reality is very much a fine line, between sanity and insanity, and he's not sure which he'd prefer, but thanks to Xyre, he doesn't have to worry too much about it.
Of course, he's still head over heals for Lineslieth; it's likely those feelings will never go away. Not until he truly knows the dragon, inside and out, and that's about as likely to happen as a snowball surviving in hell.

4. [History] Akira was an outcast from his own kind, decidedly so after his seventh birthday, when an accident at home left him with a dead mother and a burnt heap, which used to be a house. Others thought he killed her deliberately. He was banished, told he could never return. And so he traveled, without a feed, without a home, without much chance of survival. Death always seemed to follow him, it haunted his dreams, nightly. People began thinking he was cursed from ?God?. He eventually found a shelter, and at current stays there, away from other people.
While searching for food, one evening, Akira stumbled upon a group of parents speaking of an academy, designed for special children. Children of insanity, or genius. He heard them call it, ?The Asylum Academy.?
While he wasn?t sure they would accept him, it was a place he thought he belonged. A place where there would be more children, like him. He returned to the shelter, and asked the shelter owner, to write a letter of introduction, asking if Akira would be eligible for enrollment.

5. [Meetings] Lineslieth; Lineslieth is a Darakieln, and a teacher here at the academy; I think he teaches history. He showed me around when I arrived here, heck, he went and got me from the shelter.
Feelings toward Lineslieth: He's really nice, and... I really like him... I don't know what else to say... He's... *blush* Um... yeah...
Trela; I've met her once, and it wasn't the best of impressions I could have given. I have to find her and appologise for behaving that way. Done and done. I met her again; and we got along a lot better. Except... that thing with... *Blush*
Feelings toward Trela: I felt a bit intimidated by her, but I'd have to meet her again to form a better opinion on her. She's really nice, too. I actually kinda like her skin. Snakes aren't so bad after all. I get the feeling that she doesn't like Aanida's though... When I mentioned Cerceris, and her being an Aanida. There was an awkward silence moment... Oh well, I hope nothing happens.
Luke; Another student here, he's altered with my animal's descendant; Husky. We didn't get along when we met, and we got into a fight, and I guess I beat him. Doesn't mean I enjoyed it, though...
Feelings toward Luke: I don't like him. In fact, I think I hate him. He just... grr... Makes my blood boil.
Astrid; Another student here. She's altered with a Hawk of some kind. We've met twice, and gotten along well enough.
Feelings towards Astrid: She's nice. I sort of feel the need to watch out for her, though. Maybe because I'm older now? No idea, but I like her. :3
Hiro; My roomate, and another student. He's an altered human too, he's altered with bee. Hiro's full of energy, and it seems to be contaigeous.
Feelings towards Hiro: He is so cool! He zips around everywhere, and eats heaps of candy. He makes me laugh.
Cerceris; An Aanida and fellow student. We've met a couple times, both times I've given her a hand with something. Once, for ordering food and what to get for her room mate, and the second, she was lost and her map was broken, so I helped her find her way.
Feelings towards Cerceris: She's lovely, and sweet, and kind. If a bit shy. I really like her... another person I feel the need to 'protect'. Wonder what's with that... Hrmm.
Aerin; He's the nurse for the Academy. He dresses like a woman, and has mousey ears, so I assume he's an altered human. He told me about my path for insanity, and my bond to Anubis.
Feelings towards Aerin: He's really nice, and cheeful. He tries to help when he can, and I like him. He's helped me a lot and explained things for me in a simple and understandable way... I told him I'd go visit him, but the last time I did I was a little delirious. So I need to go see him again sometime.
Sekhmet: Met her in the halls. She was just walkin' around. She's a goddess, apparently. Said she knows Anubis, and that she'd help me learn more about him.
Feelings towards Sekkmet: She's very nice. If a bit cold. Though, I guess it's not often a goddess gets to be mortal... I wonder how long she'll stay for.
Guiver: Met him in the halls, when I met Xyre. He's a monkey boy, but not as jittery and hypo as Hiro is... Guess it's cause they're two different species... hell, they're two different classes of species. Insect and Mammal...
Feelings towards Guiver: He seemed a bit shocked by what Xyre and I were doing, I get the impression he wasn't shown that kind of invironment before. He seems cool, though. I like his wings.
Xyre: Met him in the hall. He was asleep. And sexy, I might add.
Feelings towards Xyre: Numnumnum. MINEMINEMINE. MINE. No one elses but MINE! I'll fight to the death for him. Fell hard, and I fell fast. It all happened so quickly... But anyway. He's mine. heart

8. [Journal] Akira carries a book with him, a book he found while in his room, on his bed. Within the leather bound book's pages, are his innermost thoughts, and drawings of things.

I found this book, and a pen on the bed when I got back to my room.
My roommate hasn't arrived yet, Mister Lineslieth said he was... a bee? Or something. So for now I'm on my own. I guess I'm used to being alone, I was always by myself when I was at the orphanage, oh well.
So, uh. I don't know what to write.
Mr. Lineslieth said this place was nice, and scary. That if I got lost here, I'd be in trouble, especially if RA started playing with the place... Well, I like it here. It doesn't seem so bad, and I can remember my way around, so I'm not worried about getting lost.
I wonder if I'll see Mr. Lines before I start classes. He's cool, he's really nice, and he pokes me with his tail, and pulls mine xd
Anywho, I should go. I'm kinda sleepy.

Met this scary girl earlier, her name was trela. She said she was... uhm... a Nahzeetial... I think that's how you write it. She looks like a snake, and she got upset when I asked what she was.
I had to go study for class, so I left. I hope she isn't mad. I need to go appologize for that, again, and for asking what she was, so rudely.
She's scary, though. I hope I don't get into her bad books. neutral
Need to ask Linelieth about my classes, too.

Just sitting under a tree now, my room seems so big and empty. My roommate still isn't here, yet. I wonder if I'll ever get to meet him.
If he's a bee... does that mean he'll eat mostly honey? Huh.. I'll have to ask one of the teachers. Or RA. Or Lines... it seems interesting. I had a nap, and I dreamed about mom. Before she died, I was happy. Dad would work at the market, and mom and my older sister Cynthera would look after the house, while I played and helped them, when I could.

Mom was the prettiest woman in the world, she had black hair like mine, except it was really long... her eyes were like mine too, and she had fox ears, and two fox tails... It was weird that she had two. I remember Cynth asking her, and she said it was cause she asked to have two, so they gave her two.
I don't even remember being altered, mom said it was when I was two.
Huh? There's a boy over there. Think I'll go say hello.

 9. [Anubis]
Patron of: Mummification, and the dead on their path through the underworld.
Appearance: A man with the head of a jackal-like animal. Unlike a real jackal, Anubis' head is black, representing his position as a god of the dead. He is rarely shown fully-human, but he is depicted so in the Temple of Abydos of Rameses II. There is a beautiful statue of him as a full jackal in the tomb of Tutankhamun.
Description: Anubis is an incredibly ancient god, and was the original god of the dead before Osiris "took over" the position. After that point, Anubis was changed to be one of the many sons of Osiris and the psychopomp (conductor of souls) of the underworld. His totem of the jackal is probably due to the fact that jackals would hunt at the edges of the desert, near the necropolis and cemeteries throughout Egypt.
Prayers to Anubis are found carved on the most ancient tombs in Egypt, and his duties apparently are many. He watches over the mummification process to ensure that all is done properly. He conducts the souls through the underworld, testing their knowledge of the gods and their faith. He places their heart on the Scales of Justice during the Judging of the Heart, and he feeds the souls of wicked people to Ammit.
In some stories, Anubis is the son of Ra and Nephthys, or Set and Nephthys (probably due to Set and Anubis having the same totem animal). Some have Heset as his mother, and still others say Bast. This apparent confusion is still another sign of Anubis' origins in the most ancient of times. He also has a daughter, Kabechet, who helps him in the mummification.
Worship:Worshipped widely throughout all of Egypt, his cult center was Cynopolis.
Hermanubis: A combination of the Greek god Hermes and Anubis. As their functions as psychopomps were similar, they were combined by the Greeks into a single form. Hermanubis also appears in alchemical and hermetical literature of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

15. Snake-girl.
Akira meets Trela. Trela Keres So, she was bored.
Trela had been up in her dormitory for some time .. her roommate had still not arrived; thus she decided to explore.
She found herself in the mess hall. No, she was not hungry .. she figured maybe someone would be there. Not much of a social butterfly, but boredom had taken a hold of her. Akira Maine It wasn't really hunger, it was more, snacking. Yes, snacking. Snacking and hoping someone new would eventually come in. And, Akira's wishes had come true. Indeed, someone walked... wait. Slithered in.
Akira had been snacking on more fries, drowned in ketchup. His ears and tail twitched as he watched the snake-girl slither further into the room. Trela Keres Glancing around the mess hall, she felt another person around. Catching the wolf boy's gaze, she paused.
Well, at least he isn't an Aanida. Might as well make some friends, while I'm here.
Slithering over, she looked at him, 'Mind if I sit?' Akira Maine Akira nodded, and moved his tail away from the seat next to him. "Feel free," he replied, with a seemingly genuine half-smile.
"My name's Akira, are you new here, too?" Trela Keres Trela sat down, and looked at the boy. Silver eyes taking in the new being. She had only known other Nahzeetial.
Listening to him speak, she nodded, 'Yeah; got here this morning.' A pause, she looked down at the table for a moment. Locking gaze again, she smirked, 'What about you?' Akira Maine Akira's tail wobbled, he shoved a frie in his mouth, "I got here a couple of days ago," He replied.
He wanted to ask what she was, he had never seen a snake-person before. He'd seen plenty of people like him, altered humans, and on the rare occassion, he'd see an Aanida. But snake-people? Never.
"Um... What... well, what I mean is, what are you?" The wolf-boy's cheeks took on an anticipated pink glow. Trela Keres Trela gave an offended look, 'What am I?!' A smirk danced on her face, 'A Nahzeetial of the Keres tribe.' She gave a wink, 'And you'd best remember that boy!' A playful grin.
'Same question.' She glanced at him quizzically. Akira Maine Ears stuck to his head, his eyes widened slightly. The snake-girl seemed, offended to say the least. He blushed all the more, "I'm sorry, I've never seen a Nahzeetial." He replied, shoving a couple more fries in his mouth.
"I'm an altered human. I have wolf genes."
He squirmed out of his seat, "I'm sorry, I have to go... I have to study for class," He bowed very lightly, and walked away, hurriedly. Trela Keres Okay. Awkward much?
Trela looked up at him, 'O..kay?'
She watched him hurry away.
What the hell?
