How to make a Wishlist in Adobe Photoshop
User Image

This tutorial will show you how to make a wishlist, and some other things in photoshop. Also, it will show you how to do basic gifs in imageready, and how to incorporate a gif into a PHOTOSHOP made image.

Open Photoshop. BUT, if you use another version of photoshop (mainly 6 and below) Yours might not have EVERYTHING. I recommend 7 or CS2(9) because CS was horrible. and 6 might not have enough. Im not sure if 6 has everything, considering i never used anything lower then 7..but this a tutorial not a rant...

BASIC WISHLIST CREATION!

steps
1.Once its open, create a new document by selecting new from the FILE dropdown, or using the shortcut CTRL+N
User Image

2.Use the dropdown to select pixels (the things that the mods mean when they say 500x500) and then choose your settings. I chose 500x300 Its nice and big, and can fit a good amount. Also, it leaves space for other things
User Image

3.Go on http://dream.tektek.org/ for a clean dream avi that works. (for the hair that sticks out of some hats, ill show you how to clean that off.) Take a screen shot of your dream avi. DO NOT CLICK FINISH. and make sure you hit the toggle background link. you want it to be white. to remove the background from the items, select the background from the items section, and use the magic wand tool to do this. It looks like a wand...
User Image

4.Now lets get started on the wishlist itself, as the prep work is done. We will start by filling the TRANSPARENT background with black. Its easier to work with. Take the rectangular marquee tool, AKA "the dotted line box" and select the avatar from the dream creator screenshot. Then on the black background, draw a rectangle around the avi. fill it in with white around the avatar.
User Image

5.Once that is done, we dont want the wishlist's items to look "boxy" like paint...We photoshop users are elite So we must make it have rounded edges. Go to the SELECT dropdown menu, and go to MODIFY. Select SMOOTH and use whatever you find necessary. I used 4 pixels(note:i modifyed the picture to include the box with the dropdown. the dropdown will dissappear.)
User Image

6.Now that we have rounded the edges, the box is still "boxy" so we must get rid of that. Go to the select dropdown menu again, and select INVERSE Then, you will hit the delete button or Backspace
User Image

7. We now have completed the avatar part. Now, lets do the items. Create a new layer by pressing the shortcut SHIFT+CTRL+N or clicking the small square button on the layers window
User Image

8.On this new layer, create a large enough box using the RECTANGULAR marquee tool. Fill it with white. Round the edges like the avatar, but this time use 6 pixels. Add all of the items. They will create new layers, so what you will do is create white boxes around the items, and put a stroke on them

9.Since all of the items will create new layers, what you will do is create white boxes around the items, and put a stroke on them. Round the edges also, but use 4 pixels. The following image shows how to put stroke.
User Image

10.Now that the boxes are done, find your images to represent what you have BOUGHT/OBTAINED,had DONATED, and FOUND if its a rare event item. Also, put what item you are currently questing. Ill use ninja for questing blaugh for bought and heart for donated. I wont use found, considering none of my items need to be found. Use the shortcut CTRL+A to select the emote, or use the magic wand to do so. If not, you cannot drag the image onto the wishlist. It should look similar to mine.

11.Now, we add the text. Write whatever you want. select the text tool (the T) and write in it. You can determine what you want here

12.The final step. To make the background pretty, merge the visible layers.
User Image
Then After that is done, go to the special edit place (where you did stroke) and use the GRADIENT OVERLAY selection. Then use the PATTERN OVERLAY selection. choose your preference. Also, choose how TRANSPARENT you want it. Do that by sliding the OPACITY bar back and forth. Once your done, save your product. YOU ARE OFFICIALLY DONE WITH THIS TUTORIAL!
This should be your final product. Note the Emote things. And the items in their respective boxes.

Congratulations on your accomplishment of completion!

Yes. Go to the programs list on your comp (start>programs) and see if Adobe is there.

No, really. Unless you're missing 700 from your pocket, I doubt you'd have it and not know...

Anyway! Great tutorial. ^.^ I think you could be a little more oringal with the making it pretty stuff, but it's basic and fast. Thanks@
