okay so I found colored strings at my local shop. I thought they were cool so I picked up a black pair (dramatic diff if you havnt seen). anyone else use em? they seem pretty good besides the fact that the paint is already coming off a little bit

I've seen them, but I'm not sure I strust the tone quality for the type of music I play. I doubt they'd have the snappiness I like.
Pehaps when I get my own bass I'd consider some red or blue strings.

I have never heard of that.I doubt their for acoustics >.< Are they plastic?Cause plastic strings suck.

No they aren't plastic.
I believe the process is somewhat similar to poweder coating.

I've never seen them before... Blue strings on my aqua Ibanez EX would look kinda cool.

I use the DR EXTRA LIFE "Black Beauties"...they're great but I play a lot so they don't stay black for long...one-two days
So next time I change my strings I'm just going to put on reg DRs...
