Background: The daughter of Stablemaster Cauda and his wife Agila, Muris has the same affinity for horses as her father before her. Muris was the 10th child freed of the curse. Upon her freeing by Shiaree, Cervus appointed her the groom for the stables. She had since become a beautiful teen, and was been advanced to Wrangler status. She is now a grown woman and the official Stablemaster of Castellum Argentus.

Personality: Muris is a sweet and gentle tomboy of a fey. Her natural aptitude with horses comes from her father's tutelege before the curse. She can be shy at times, but when she truly has her heart set on something, she finds courage. When she became a teenager, she gained a good deal of maturity, and still cleaved closer to nature than artifice. Now an adult, she has shed much of her shyness, though she has lost none of her gentility or good naturedness. Although able to handle new situations, she is still more at home in a stable than a ballroom and tends to gravitate towards natural things.

Any of the Kithain and Fey can post in Muris' journal at any point in time, whether to leave her a note, start rp (no, you do not have to ask previously to start rp in her chambers if you wish to) or whatever.

Friends of mine also have permission, but as this is a closed guild that probably won't be an issue. ^^

Rosa- Owner of Nimlote A rather gorgeous horse, and she knows it. Nimlote is a Cremello. White, with pink eyes and hooves and a pink star pattern on her rump. Sadly, for all her beauty, she isn't the most pleasant of horses. She's possessive, rather competitive, and seems to look down on the others.

I'm not sure what to think of Rosa anymore. We almost had a sincere friendship, I think, when I was little..but now that I'm grown, I don't know what she'll think of me. I have begun my training with her again...I am hoping she can teach me to act like a proper noblewoman.

Alces- Owner of Orin A Grey, with white speckled rump, a gray star pattern, dark hair, black socks, and black eyes and hooves. Orin is very patient, which is good because Alces seems rather nervous about him. He also seems to have a one-track mind-- eating.

I love Alcie terribly. He's always been so kind, and he's always there for me. Alcie's very sweet and a little clumsy with words sometimes, but he has this energy and mischief about him, with the most wonderful smile whenever he's excited.

Filix- Owner of Fera He's a Sorrel, with three white socks, white blaze, a pale tan mane and tail, blue eyes and hooves. A rather gorgeous creature, but he's a bit skittish. That is, he doesn't seem to like the other males, and he likes to boss the rest of the horses around quite a bit. Still, I think he'll calm down in time.

Filix and I used to play together as children. I worry that she will feel the class distinction now that I am an adult, though, and scorn my company. I do hope she will not, though. She has always struck me as a pleasant individual to be around.

Lilium- Owner of Zora Zora is a Champagne coloured mare. She has dark socks and muzzle, with gold eyes and hooves, a gold pattern on her rump, and a dark mane and tail. A gentle, but elegant creature who enjoys being pampered a bit, and will occasionally get annoyed if she isn't looked after enough, but is generally sweet-tempered.

Queen Lilium has finally married King Cervus. It was a beautiful ceremony I was pleased to attend, but I haven't spoken to her in quite some time. I hope she is well.

Equus- Owner of Altaea. A Sabino, dark mane and tail (flows to white!), pale tan eyes and hooves. Gorgeous creature, though I haven't had much opportunity to get to know her.

I look forward to meeting Equus, as his totem is the horse, one of my favourite animals!

Aesculus- Owner of Dearg Red bay, black mane and tail, black and white socks, gold eyes and hooves. Dearg's a nice enough horse, but he's very picky about certain things. He wants them done his way, or he simply won't do a thing. The other day I tried to groom him a bit early and he just about threw a fit!

I haven't seen Aesculus in quite some time, as well. He's an adult now, and from what I gather he's quite handsome, but we haven't had opportunity to speak lately. I hope that we will soon, though I suppose I might feel a bit odd, what with him being the King's cousin and so obviously noble now.

Cervus- Owner of Sunshade. A gorgeous black horse, solid black mane, golden eyes and hooves, and beautiful golden markings on his rump. He's very strong and rather temperamental. Oftentimes he won't even let the other grooms near him, and he has a tendency to bite even me. Still, he's a gorgeous creature.

King Cervus is a kind man-- he makes a wonderful King indeed, and I think that I shall be very glad to live under his rule.

Ardea- No horse.

Ardea seems a nice enough individual. He's a bit odd, birdlike. He keeps to himself for the most part, and was quite sick when I chanced upon him. I took him to see Ursa, but I haven't seen him since then.

Ursa- Owner of Celenis. An attractive chestnut gelding with silver eyes and hooves, and a rather interesting mark on his rump.

I saw Ursa while I was healing from my...adventure. She is and always will be quite a dear friend for me.

Pappila- Owner of Eildeth, a beautiful blue roan filly with silver eyes and hooves, and a strange lightning-like mark on her rump.

Pappila, I have not seen since we were both children. I've been told that she has grown into a beautiful teenager now, but I have yet to see her for myself. I wouldn't doubt it, though, as she was such a beautiful child.

Muris' room is pretty simple, and she likes it that way. The floors are plain wood, as are the walls. She's mentioned to Shiaree that she might paint them sometime, but it's unlikely as she tends to appreciate the natural look of them.

It was pretty dusty when she first got up there, but she cleaned it quickly enough. The once-grey curtains on the window are now white again, and Shiaree's bought her some all-new furniture as the old stuff could easily have been condemned.

Against the right wall there's a wooden day bed with white sheets and a soft gray comforter, as well as gray and white striped down pillows with white cases. It's made of thick, heavy wood and was quite difficult for the two of them to move up there because of that and it's bulk.

On the side of it near the door there is a nightstand of the same wood with a small lamp on top of it. The nightstand has two drawers in it where she keeps her various pieces of paper and stuff for writing and reading practice.

Across from that is a large bookcase, in which Shiaree keeps all of the various books she reads to Muris from, and teaches Muris to read from. The bookcase is simple in structure, rather long, and has three shelves.

Next to it is her dresser, filled with various clothing her kithain bought her. Sadly, Muris isn't the cleanest little packrat in the world, so the drawers tend to be open and often seem to be leaking clothing. (o.O!)

The only other thing in Muris' room is a huge oak chest that was there even before they started cleaning it out. They couldn't move it, or open it, so there it sits over by the back of the room.

Roleplaying log from page 37-36 of the Castellum Argentus thread

Summary: Shiaree is brought to the castle in hopes that she is a kithain--most likely Muris, the mouse. It is found that she is indeed, and she sets the little girl free. Not long after that, she encounters Rosa, who loses interest in Muri the moment she hears the word 'stable' in regards to her, and Aesculus, who seems to be quite nice and invites Muris to call on him at any time to see the mice that live with him in his room. After a short conversation with him, he leaves her to look for his mother, and Muris goes to rest in her room above the stables.

Roleplaying log from Page 2-3 of Aesculus' journal

Summary: Muris goes over to visit Aesculus as per his offer to show her the mice. The littlest mouse seems to take quite a liking to her, and Aesculus and Muris get along quite well too. Muris asks a bit about the other Fey, wondering if they're as easy to get along with as Aesculus. He informs her that most are, although he seems to think that he's actually not really that nice, but Muris disagrees. Eventually she comes across the idea that he really needs to have more fun, and offers that he come to the stables to play any time he likes.

Summary: Alces comes to the stables in hopes of finding the horse for him. Muris hears him shuffling about and goes down expecting to find Lilium taking Zora out. She realizes it's not a bit too late, and ends up helping Alces find Orin, as well as teaching him just a little bit about horses.

Roleplay Session in Pages 41 and 42 of the Castellus Argentum thread.

Summary:
That night, Muris hears some rumours about some interesting things going on in the castle. Compounded with quite a bit of noise there, it all is much too intriguing for a little mouse to just let it go. She gets to the castle slightly after Pappila is awakened and Ardea bcomes a teen, and ends up in a rather interesting conversation with Rosa (Lady Rosa!) who offers to teach her to become more ladylike. Muris accepts, despite feeling slightly intimidated by Rosa and Ardea (and attempting to hide behind Alces without being disrespectful), but then realizes that she's forgotten to feed the horses just yet and scampers off.

Summary: Muris meets up with Filix, and realizes just a bit too late that they had been friends before they were cursed. Despite a little embarrassment, the two seem to take to each other again instantly, and there seems to be a promising friendship developing there.

Roleplaying log from page 2-4 of Pappila's Chambers.

Summary: Muris stumbles into Pappila's room. The little Fey encourages Muri to read to her, and the two spend a bit of a pleasant evening that way until Eirnae returns with a ton more books Pappila wants read. The butterfly gives Muri a book as a parting gift when the mouse realizes that she'd probably better go so that Pappila can have her book read.

Roleplay session on page 3-5 of Ursa's Chambers

Summary: Muris finally gets to meet up with Ursa. The other Fey gives her something to help her bunny heal, but ends up getting rather sick herself, so Muris leaves to let Ursa rest so that she'll feel better soon.

Journal Entry:

These past few days have been quite refreshing. Muris is a ray of sunshine, what with her constant sense of childlike wonder. She wanted to write in the journal herself, but as she's still learning her letters, I told her that I would write what she wanted me to put, and that she could then copy it in her own hand.

This, of course, delighted her to no end. As you can see by the ragged scrawls above this page, she did at least -try-.

She informs me that while I was resting, she met several of the other Fey. Lilium, the princess who is to be queen, Alces, a very friendly young man who appears to have the totem of the Elk, and Equus, the horse.

Muris says sthat Lilium seems quite nice if a bit strange for her standoffishness, and that she thinks she could be friends with her if she could find the right words to use when speaking with her.

Alces she definitely likes, as she started going off on a tangent about elk and shaking hands when I asked her what she thought of him.

Equus, of course, she holds in a bit of a state of awe. She loves horses dearly, and I think meeting the man with the horse totem was almost equivalent to one meeting the god of horses or some such for her.

At any rate, after talking with her about this, I took her out to play, and she had a lovely time chasing after birds and tumbling around in the grass. She got quite dirty and I had to give her a bath afterwards (the grass also seemed to give her some red marks-- it seems her skin is very sensitive, because she was quite itchy until the bath removed the last remnants of grass from her skin)

And then I put her to bed. She sleeps with the sort of peacefullness only the very young seem able to achieve.

Journal Entry:

Muris has grown so much! That is..she hasn't really gotten any older, but she certainly seems to have matured quite a bit. I think taking care of the horses does that for her a lot, although there might be another factor.

What, you ask? Well, she's taken to collecting injured creatures she finds lying about Tir Nan Og and just outside of it. She's not certain how to go about healing them all the time (I have suggested perhaps she ought to speak with Ursa, but neither of us have seen hide nor hair of the Bear fey anywhere) but she certainly does try, and she takes care of them very well.

She's such a precious little sight. She likes to sit on her floor on her stomach with her legs swishing back and forth above her, completely unawares of all that's going on around her while she concentrates on her latest charge, or even when she writes in the book that I gave her.

She's becoming rather good at writing, as well. Well, not good. But decent, considering she's only just started to remember all that her parents had taught her about it before she became Cursed.

As far as animals..she's currently in possession of a small fox, a rabbit, (the two of which she keeps far from each other.) and a skunk, of all things. I shudder to think what may happen if that skunk ever tires of her attentions. She tends to keep each animal in a separate room above the stables where it can recover properly.

Still, I'm not sure the rabbit's going to pull through. He was sorely injured when she found him, and though he looks a little better, neither of us have a clue how to go about fixing him.
