Of the two brothers, however close they were, there had never been any question which one of Snowe and Ryose was the wild child of the pair. With a personality as wild as his long red hair, and as intermitantly prickly as the wild thorn vines that ran, patterened, up and down his arms, he could be desidedly hard to handle. Especially when he didn't feel like coming inside...as he didn't now. Crouched in the the upper branches of a tree he watches in nearly preditory silence as his brother goes past, calling his name hopelessly, both of them knowing darn well that Ryose can hear his name being shouted, but that he just...doesn't care to acknowledge this for the time being. It's a wonderful day out, and he's having fun. Their guardians can take a leap off a cliff for all he cares, he's enjoying this too much.

((mind if I join? n.n if you do, I'll delete this post n.n)) Flerida watched as the one called Snowe called out a name over and over again. She made no motion to approach him, content with just watching as he went away still calling out a name. Wordlessly, she got up and headed for the trees where she sat down beneath the shade of one of them. Idly she begins to hum while tugging at a few blades of grass with her hand.

((go right ahead. biggrin SOrry I woulda joined yours but I wasn't paying enough attention. heart )) The humming catches his attention, just as surely as Snowe's calling had, though this time he shimmys partly down the tree, frowning in curiosity. This girl he hadn't met, but she still might be part of one of those damned plots to get him to go inside. Inside, phooie. He could sleep outside just fine, it didn't matter what his Guardians thought. Still, he was curious, he had to admit that much...

Snowe sighed, leaning his shoulder against a tree for a rest. Gabe wanted him to fetch Snowe so they could have lunch... well dinner by then. In an hour the sun would go down and it would be dark- Snowe hated the dark, he'd heard too many stories of children getting lost, getting scooped up by crazy old woman in candy houses or moving castles to keep a level head. "Ryose please...", he looked around, pulling at his lip, "I won't tell them where you hide, I can't eat lu-...Dinner myself. Gabe's gonna be sooooo mad..."

He groans, guiltily at the faint sound of Snowe's protest. This is...of course...the only reason that JERK Gabe sent Snowe out here to begin with. Stupid grown up is a site too clever for his own good. He wants not to care that Gabe is going to be mad, but damn it, Snowe just gets to him like that. "I don't WANT to come in!" He hollers back, with blatant disregard for the girl sitting peacefuly underneath the tree he's in.

Snowe's expression brightened at his brother's voice but for the moment he kept his back to where he heard it from, folding his arms accross his chest, "I don't either... I think Gabe said we could eat outside if we take Gil with us...he said he's getting too antsy." He glanced over his shoulder after a pause, searching the boughs for his brother, "You of all people can relate."

Flerida blinked at the ensuing conversation taking place between two voices. She stopped her humming, thinking it best that she keep silent and let the two finish before continuing. Her hands rest neatly on her lap as she peers up at the tree where the closer of the voices is coming from.

Ryose flips upside down to hang from a tree branch, arms folded stubbornly across his chest. "I don't buy it..." He says, stubbornly, raising an eyebrow and looking down at the girl below him. "Who's this?" He demands, pointing at her, as though his brother and Gabe somehow involved this curious girl in part of the nefarious plot to make him come back to the house.

Flerida did not like the accusatory tone Ryose had, she pursed her lips and if the feathers on the hem of her sleeves were real they would have ruffled.
"Flerida." She said simply, firmly, her eyes staring back at the red haired Fable (for it was obvious to her that only the children and some of the teenagers were Fables). "And aren't you going to get dizzy like that?" she cocked her head to the side.

Ryose snorts slightly, raising an eyebrow at Fleridia, determined by her comment to stay inverted just a little longer to prove his stamina at such behavior, even though his face is probably becoming a very similar shade to his hair. "I'm not dizzy." He insists, which doesn't preculde the possiblity of getting there. "Gabe sent you didn't he? It's not going to work...."

"I didn't say you were, I said you were going to be." Flerida shrugged, "And who's Gabe? Is he your guardian?" she asked.

Ryose pulls himself back upright onto the branch with a grumble. "He thinks he is. But I don't -NEED- one. I can take care of Snowe and I. He's just in the way. And he has these stupid rules about coming in when it gets dark and eating inside...." He says, kicking his feet in the air as he protests these... 'utterly unreasonable' ideas.

Flerida listened in rapt attention, taking in the other Fable's thoughts and opinions about rules and whatnot.
"My guardian disappears from time to time. Sometimes she comes back after a few hours, sometimes after a few weeks. When she does this, I find food has already been prepared for me." She says, cocking her head to the side. "Do you live with Snowe?"

Snowe went silent as the girl was pointed out, his eyes widening and his body tensing up. He hadn't heard her... if he'd have known there was someone else around- a stranger to boot -he'd not have spoken up so loud. He slowly sank himself behind a tree, peeking out just slightly from the other side to keep an eye on his brother and the girl, his hands gripping tight to the bark.
He wanted to speak up about Gabe- he was their guardian. He didn't mind the old elf but he would rather stay outside and play. Unlike his brother, however, he obeyed the rules though he made an effort not to push that habbit on Ryose. He did need lunch though, and going inside was the only way they'd get it.

"He's my brother..." Ryose snorts. "Of course I live with him." He says, as though this were the most obvious of arangements, though the 'sanest' of arangements might be a better term for it, as close as the two could be. "I just don't want to go inside, and that -stupid- elf is using my BROTHER to get what he wants." He snarls, grumpily. "Which is fighting dirty, but he can't win forever..." He adds, with firey determination. "Isn't that right, Snowe?" He demands, turning his attention toward his shy brother peeking out from behind the tree.
