As for the poll, I think the only myv english I recognized was "Freedom" and "Season's greetings, amigo"

In Jubun Kakumei he says "Season's greetings, amigo " (amigo in spanishmeans friend)
and then he says "How's it going"

and um, "I envy Dream"

I just listen and listen and eventually I pick up the lyrics, even though I don't know what hes saying, then I look up the translation.

When Miyavi sings, my mind goes like
"Wait... this is English! This is English! I have to know this!"
But then it was Ashita Genki... and all I can make out was "vsh vshvsh in the vsh" sweatdrop

I got the translation though.

Oh and "I got teh Freedom and the duty so I sing along with solitude" or something like that...

in his music I've heard i love you, hey bunny, say what, are you rock?, say hello, dear my friend, we are freedom, and other stuff that I can't think of. He sounds adorable when singing Hit The Road Jack.

He should learn to speak english. He puts alot of english into his music. I could see him writing a full song in english, if he learned to speak english.

From what I gather, Miyavi's music bears a resemblance to Eurobeat in the following respects:

-Sure, there are lyrics.

-Sure, they're usually in english.

-They don't always make sense, though.

-And they're not always completely audible.

I dunno, I've found Miyavi's lack of understandable (whether audibly or not) English cute... eventually. It kinda grew on me. And it's fun to sing along with Mr. Gaddess. xd

I like the way he says fweedom. And when he sang Hit the Road Jack, he mumbled like mad on that, but it was still cute. Just for fun, I'd hand him a piece of paper in english, and make him read it just for giggles and awws, as long as hes getting good responses from it, and attention, I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

lol, i had my friend listen to Ashita Genki Ni Naare and told him there was an english sentence in there, he never heard. i had to pause the song at the exact point he says "Spring wind, breathin' in a breeze," and my friend still had a hard time understanding, lol.
poor Meevers, he really should work on his english accent....^^
the only english i can ever understand in Jibun kakumei is "solitude". lol, i know theres more but i can never understand it >.<

Maybe we never notice it because we expect Japanese, and because of his kansai accent, they tend to mumble their words in a way.

You mean vsh vsh vsh in a vsh? Me and my friend thought it was "scream whispers in the wind" when we didn't have the lyrics yet. xd

Not even some people fluent in Japanese can understand MYV because of that. xd

I've always wondered. Does Miyavi look up phrases, have someone tell him what the phrases are, or does he actually know english? Hm... he's probably taken English before, prolly requirements in school. It'd be kool if he knew how to speak english.

Just because he can sing a song in english doesn't mean he can speak it. I can sing some of Miyavi's songs and I don't know how to speak Japanese sweatdrop In chorus I learned how to sing songs in spanish, french, latin, and some african language.
