So what paint do most of you put in your hoppers?
For big tournies I'd definitely recommend Evil paint or Marbilizers. I haven't shot marbs in awhile but I had 2 cases of Evil paint that shot darts even though my barrel bore size wasn't a perfect match. Also Evil has really thick fills that make it a bit harder for the cheaters to wipe.
For the more budget minded players, you can't go wrong with PMI Premiums. I use premiums for most tournaments and they shoot pretty well, not as good as evil but good enough to hit your targets.
For the practice paint I'd definitely go with Draxxus Competetive Edge. This is basically the generic white box paint, but it shoots pretty damn well. Hell I'd use them over premiums just for the price.
Paint to avoid: RPS Stingers - cost more or about the same as draxxus, shoots pretty bad, balls swearve after about 30-40 yards out. If you're bunkering someone, no problem, but you can forget about shooting lanes of the break. The batch that me and my team got (about 6 cases) for practice was comprised of maybe 1/4 factory seconds, the balls were mixed grey and blue and had rather large seam lines.
Meneace AKA Big Ball - new name, same shitty balls. Don't be fooled. Unless you have a barrel kit and can get these for clearance prices, you can forget about it. I bought a bag at the field awhile ago because my teammate didn't show up with the paint and I was spraying paint out of my barrel all day. Whats the benefit of having a larger bore sized ball? beats me.
Draxxus Rec Sport - Never personally shot but for the same price you can get the proven Premiums, or for less just get comp edge.
There are plenty of other brands of paint out there. Share which one shoots darts and which one just plain sucks. LMK if you guys have a different experience with any of the paint I listed. Hopefully this could help the ballers spend more time on the field instead of on the sidelines cleaning out their barrels.

I shoot a mix of Draxxus Dusk/Hellfire or DBX paint. They work pretty well for my flatline barrel. I like the DBX cause of the way it's made. It's practice grade, meaning it's a tougher shell, but it still always seems to break on target for me. I usually use that paint, but i like the get the Draxxus stuff if i've found some extra money somewhere. The lowest i've ever gone before was Brass Eagle (the blue/gold shell paintballs). Those were just terrible.
O, the big ball paint is only good if you're still using your stock barrel (aka, newbie). Stock barrels are made with large bores so it can accomodate all types of paint to different degrees. Once you replace your barrel though, Big Ball paint is a waste.

I tend to shoot whatever the best stuff the local shop has in stock. I've shot 32 degrees, Diablo, Hellfire, Evil, and I have PMI right now. I've also shot some real crappy stuff too. Brass Eagle was the very first paint that I bought and it broke too easey. I was playing in a woodsball tourny once and the paint was provided for us. It was Core, and shot more like a glueball.
Has anyone ever shot Tippmann? I found out that I can get it for half off at work.

Draxxus Blaze, I believe. It has a green and white shell, and white fill. It's the required field paint where I play, so it's not like I have a choice in the matter. wink

I like to use a wide variety such as Draxxus, PMI, Evil, and Marbilizer. But Evil and Draxxus are my favorite.

hey, ive used many diffrent kinds of paint. ive used all the pmi and draxxus brands. ive tried some of the evil kinds. so far the best paint that i can find is torque. its red and white and the best part is it smells like candyapples. not to mention that its an over all good ball. definetly a good brand. i first used it in a tournament, and i prefer it as a practice paint as well. hehe not to mention it tastes pretty good to. but thats just me.
