Woah, I didn't know that, its not on my calender. I will celebrate by giving my mother and sister stuff and or just helping them around the house when they need it.

Heh heh. LAST YEAR we had a "march" for Womens Rights in the GHM thread right here on GAIA! (For all of us who wanted to do SOMETHING but couldn't make it to DC for real...)

Click back to last year's posts in the "Gaian Hippie Movement" Thread (there's a link to it SOMEWHERE here in the GHG...) to see! Lots of the picture links people posted are probably busted by now though... sad

a gaian march is a really good idea.

we could find an issue, one that directly pertains to gaia, and organize evryone in the guld, and who ever wants to join then start threads in every board, from the chatter box, to the extended discussion, to the sports discussion.

we could get sigs with our avi's with protest signs, and go for it.

it would be awesome.

though i am sure we have to clear it, because it most liley wouldn't fit into every thread, and i know the ED gets really pissy about topics in the wrong place.

this idea is awesome, i will keep it in mind for future refrence.
infact, had i been thinking i would have organized one for international women's day.

IT was definitely a success last year... we had our GHM thread (since there were no guilds yet...) as "home base" sorta, for people to chat about what was going on as they posted banners and "buttons" and links and pictures in random chatterbox threads and started our own chatterbox threads, etc (it's easier there, because you DON'T get in trouble with the "Powers that be"), but there are a bunch of different options for a movement/protest like that. And now we have a "real" home base in the GHG! smile

I love your idea about avi edits with protest signs... wink
