Sneaking around the elephant graveyard, Yakuti sniffed around, checking for anything out of the ordinary. He enjoyed looking for new things to chew on, and quite frankly the old bones that he had were getting dull.

Jamaa sat there, surrounded by the bones of billions devours by the hyenas or hit by the clogs of time. This place where the hyenas resided where lions dread to near, this place is where he protrolled before he went to the Mpinzani Pack with Temari and his step-children.

His tail swung side to side out of boredom. "Jamaa should get back soon....Dhati will have it in for Jamaa."

Yakuti sniffed the air and picked up the scent: wild dog. What was a dog doing here? Regardless, he approached the source of the scent, hiding behind rocks and bones to avoid being seen too soon.

Something was behind him and it wasn't doing a great job with hiding himself judging by it's scent. A lion would have been much more descreet, so it was most likely a hyena. Jamaa's tail suddenly stopped.

"Come on out...."

He had been spotted, too soon. How ironic. well, he could do nothing about it now, being so small it would be hard to outrun most anything, so Yakuti slinked out from behind his hiding place with his tail between his legs and scowled. "What are you doing here? You're not a hyena." He said keeping a reasonable distance from the dog.

"Family business." he replied, still faced away from the little scavenger. "You know....I don't like hyenas much, if not hating." he said. It was intiminating for a hyena even for one that young, but it was something the little hyena should know. "However, Jamaa won't hurt you....not yet." he added. "Come here."

Yakuti hesitated, then decided it best to just do as he was told, he was not the smartest hyena in the world, but he wasn't stupid. He walked slowly toward the dog, slightly more confadant that Jamaa said he wouldn't hurt him, though kind of off put by his "not yet".

As the little Hyena sat it's furry blue butt next to the brown canine's. "Where are your parents?" he asked. "Where is your pack?" he asked again. With all these questions, Jamaa never took his eyes away from the horizon and it's setting sun.

"My parents... aren't around." Yakuti said simply "But the rest of my pack is in the southlands" he said. In reality, his father left him as a baby and his mother had died, and his "pack" consisted of only one other hyena at the moment, Pagao, though they were planning on meeting up with some others soon.

Jamaa tipped his head. "if your in a pack, then why are you here alone?" he asked. The Elelphant Graveyard is a dangerious place for a lone pup. "Do you need help getting back to your pack?"

he smiled slightly, "Being alone in a graveyard....you won't be missed much, you'd make a better meal for the vultures."

"I, no I don't" Yakuti wasn't going to accept help from some dog who he just met, let alone one who said he "wouldn't be missed much" he pinned his ears and growled slightly at Jamaa. "And I'm just here because I, uh, wanted to explore."

Jamaa smirked. "Heh..." the dog laughed. "You're a strange one, that you are." Jamaa sort of laughed the last part out. "But you really shouldn't be here, Yakuti." the dog lost his composure and started to laugh out loud into the graveyard.

"You shouldn't be here either then." Yakuti retaliated, "at least I'm a hyena, we live here you know" he said "or at least, some do." His ears drooped slightly at this, "And whats so funny?"

"You remind Jamaa of myself, always wandering around especially to place where Jamaa doesn't belong." he replied. "Besides, Jamaa can be here because: One, Jamaa is looking for someone. Two Jamaa can defend myself." he added, almost taunting the little hyena.

"Jamaa'll ask again, do you want Jamaa to take you back?"
