Name: Isabella (Isi) Massey Age: 22 Height: 5'1 Eyes: Hazel Hair: Dyed black with higlights (more details below)
Occupation: Prostitute
Nationality: British
Human Appearance: She is very average looking. She has pale skin that is clear and normally spotless however spots seem to have a habit of catching her just at the wrong time. Her face is rather narrow and looks rather odd with her body shape. She isn't fat but then she isn't thin. She has a slender body with what some call 'puppyfat' around her stomach. She hates it and calls herself fat as she looks pregnant to herself but looking at her she doesn't look fat at all but rather normal.
She has a lip ring on her bottom lip in the middle and her ears are pierced, one in each ear and she has Ear scaffold as well (Industral)
Her hair is black with dyed Purple and red streaks. It isn't the nicest of hair and she ends up with alot of split ends causing her to cut her hair and redye it often. Her natural hair colour she can't remember as she has dyed it so many times. Her hair is normally up, with a clip holding her hair up at the back of her head when she is 'working' otherwise it is down and wavy.
She mostly wears a short black skirt, fishnets, boots upto her knees and a red and black corset. When she isn't dressed for 'work' she wears a pair of baggy trousers (normally jeans) and a black baggy t-shirt with trainers.
She is rather small in height for the town she lives in which means she has rather small feet, though in general she is probably pretty average.
Character Background (rough): Isabella wasn't any different from any normal child, she was reasonably bright, bullied when very young she ended up in the wrong crowd when she was 15. She turned from being a nice daughter to a horrible one and as soon as possible she moved into a flat with a couple of her friends, going to gigs and clubbing all night long, not thinking of money issues. It came to the point where her friend had got herself pregnant and they had no money.
All three girls tried to get jobs but only Isi had the right idea, she wanted a job she would enjoy so she started on the internet, talking to random guys who she met up with and slept with, it wasn't long before she was making money from it.
Ema, her best friend ended up having to go back to her mum as she couldn't cope with the pregnancy and Cloe decided to be awkward about Isi's job but at least there was some money coming in. Isi loved her job, she had no problems with it and found it fun. Who wouldn't find having sex every day fun?
Her life ended up being nothing but clubbing, drinking, smoking and working, all seemed to happen at night, which was also fine for her. However, things aren't always good, she had been pregnant twice, both times she had an abortion and ignored the fact that her job meant kids weren't allowed. Sometimes she would dream of kids but then at the same time to her she had a perfect job, making more then enough money. Over £100 a night was pretty good money.
She had the life she dreamed of.
However nothing is perfect. She and her mates have a habit of arguing it isn't unusual for one to dissappear for long periods of times and the amount of times they have threatened to move out if someone is missing then well, they obviously moved out.
The friends use to be close and caring but it seemed living together wasn't all it was cut out to be and they now seem to hate each other and just tolerate each others existance.
Character Personality: Isi is laid back and willing to try anything once whether it is drugs or something else such as rock climbing or throwing herself out an airplane. She is nice enough to talk to but if male she can't help but be a little seductive but she knows when to step back and leave it.
She is out for a good time, doesn't care for depression or worrying and would rather look on the bright side of things as thats the only way she believes you can get through life.
She is reasonably 'normal' as she doesn't have any health issues unless you count smoking and drinking as a health issue. She has nothing special about her, she basically fell in with the 'wrong' crowd.
How/Why does your character get to the Island: Would probably depend on what I got her through but an idea:
Isi found a poster while wandering around in the early hours of the morning, it offered her a lot of money to be tested for a new drug, something she had briefly heard about. She saw no reason why not to do it, she could earn a months wags being tested on and then could go clubbing and drinking as much as she wished.
However Feral Labs happened to be something different then what it said on the poster and she realised strange things happening to her, it then slowly dawned on her that there was going to be no money from them, but there are others on this island.

Degus ~Taken from Wikipedia~The Degu (Octodon degus) is a small, caviomorph rodent that is native to Chile. It is sometimes referred to as the Trumpet-tailed Rat (although not related to the rat family) and is also called the Common Degu, to distinguish it from the other members of the genus Octodon. Other members are also called degus, but they are distinguished by additional names. The name "degu" on its own, however, indicates either the genus Octodon or, more usually, O. degus.
Social behaviour Degus are highly social. They live in burrows, and by digging communally they are able to construct larger and more elaborate burrows than they could on their own. Degus digging together co-ordinate their activities, forming digging chains. Females living in the same group have been shown to spontaneously nest communally; they nurse one another's young. They spend a large amount of time on the surface, where they forage for food. When foraging, their ability to detect predators is increased in larger groups, and each animal needs to spend less time in vigilance. Degus exhibit a wide array of communication techniques. They have an elaborate vocal repertoire, and the young need to be able to hear their mother's calls if the emotional systems in their brains are to develop properly. They use their urine to scent mark, and experiments have shown that they react to one another's marks.
Degus are born relatively precocial, and their auditory and visual systems are functional at birth. They are even born with a full coat of fur.
Unlike other octodontids, degus are diurnal, and they have good vision. Their retinas include rod cells and two types of cone cell, one of which has its peak sensitivity in the ultraviolet region of the spectrum. Behavioral experiments have shown that degus are able to discriminate ultraviolet light from the wavelengths visible to humans. It is likely that this ultraviolet sensitivity has a social function, since both their ventral (stomach) fur and their urine are highly UV reflective.
Diet Degus are herbivores, feeding on grasses and browsing the leaves of shrubs, though they will also take seeds. Their feeding rate is constrained by the rate at which they can digest this relatively low quality food, and this varies between food types and environmental conditions, and like some other herbivores such as rabbits, they show coprophagy, chewing their own feces so as to extract more nutrition from them. This also serves to maintain healthy gut function during times when food is scarce. Although they are active by day, in high summer they do not leave their burrows in the middle of the day, and in hot conditions they forage as quickly as possible instead of maximising the quality of their food. They tend to forage in shaded areas, though this tendency is reduced in the absence of predators. In open areas they spend more time being vigilant, so their effectiveness as foragers is reduced. Degus have a significant impact on the vegetation in areas where they live, and as the only rodent foraging by day, their numbers influence the food supply available to the more numerous nocturnal rodents. However, numbers of all species of degu have been declining over recent decades, most likely due to human disturbance.
Degu after dust bath
Role in human affairs Degus are prone to diabetes due to their divergent insulin structure. For this reason they are used frequently for research in this field. Degus' popularity as pets was influenced by this research, as animals were imported into various countries for research and study.
Degus have become popular as pets, though until very recently they were seldom found in pet shops. Their advantages over traditional small pets are their diurnal habits, bubbly personalities, the haired tail (as compared to rats) and their lifetime: they are said to live up to 13 years under ideal circumstances (though a poor gene pool/genetic background often reduces a pet degu's lifespan significantly). The average lifespan of a degu in captivity is said to be around 5-8 years of age. One disadvantage of the degu as a pet is that they gnaw much more than most other common rodent pets. Another issue with degus as pets is that some of them are prone to biting. Gentle nibbling seems to be a normal part of friendly behavior but when they feel threatened or have not been handled enough to feel comfortable with a person they deliver a surprisingly painful bite that tends to bleed freely.
Keeping Degus Degus relate well to humans, and single specimens can easily be kept as pets. Keeping degus in pairs is very popular, and most likely good for the very social animals - but in that case, degus commonly relate more to their fellow rodents, than to human owners. Degus should be kept in large roomy cages with lots of frequently changed straw and sawdust, for the animal to dig in. Plastic-bottomed cages will often be destoyed due to gnawing, but this can sometimes be avoided by supplying other materials for biting - preferences vary from animal to animal. Finally, the social nature of Degus can make them lonely, so humans keeping single specimens should take care to talk to their pet a lot, place the animal where it can take part in daily life of the household, and get them frequently out of the cage (degus like cuddling with humans, and can sit still and even sleep on laps if comfortable, but shouldn't be left running freely). The recent upsurge in interest in the Degu as a pet has had both positive and negative results. The increase in popularity has created a deluge of degus being put up for adoption because of ignorant or unsuspecting owners unable to care for them properly. Of course, this has also increased awareness of the needs of Degus as unique rodent companions.

 Why IDOM?
I found the shop before its first ever flatsale and tried out at the flatsale, I lost and didn't get one, at that point I lost faith in my rp ability, but then again not everyone is perfect so I decided to lurk around, I didn't try out in any of the other events as I never actually got my idea straight in my head. So now I have made this thread so I don't lose my idea nor worry about it. I love the shop and the idea, it has also got me to consider finding and reading the book as it sounds rather interesting.
Why a Degu?
I would like my character to turn into a Degu as I believe they are incredibly interesting animals. They cant eat any sugar as it makes them very ill and can kill them, Isi loves chocolate and sweets so not being able to eat anything that she likes would upset her.
They are also really lively and like to run about, Isi is really lazy so it would also be something interesting.
There are also other reasons but too many to list right now, Degus are just cute, interesting and difficult, they love dust baths, so that would be another thing that Isi wouldn't like, trying to find sand to bath in.
What animal would you have if not the one chosen? I don't really mind though I would like to have one that I know a bit about so I could rp it properly.
