Kiji scuffed his paws through the dirt boredly, watching little piece roll into the hole he'd just finished digging. There was dirt caked up his shins and before him was a reasonably sized hole, dug downwards into a small hill. "This'll make a good enough place to sleep." He said, and then he lay down in front of it, in the cool dirt he'd excavated. It wouldn't be cool for long, so he'd enjoy lying in it while he could. He closed his eyes and hummed softly to himself, ears perked forwards and tail waving happily.

(I hope you don't mind me making it night-time?)

Binifu trotted along in a merry manner, eyes shut and tail and nose high. She was not very whise when it came to walking about, she often did odd things that got her into spots of trouble, like closing her eyes or walking backwards.

Though perhaps she'd chosen to close her eyes this night in order to let fate help her meet new wild dogs? Right. Suddenly ground was no londer under her paw and with something close to a squak gravity yanked her down, she was suddenly right on top of the male. "Eeee badger!" She yelled as she tried to scramble off the other body, not having any clue as to what she landed on.

(Not at all ^^)

Kiji opened his eyes wide, shocked as the female fell on him. "What's a badger?" He asked, trying to catch his breath. He wiggled out from underneath her, towards his hole in the ground, so that she wouldn't steal it. "And where did you come from?" He asked, sitting up and scratching behind his ear. Kiji had always felt rather comfortable around strangers....although he'd never known why. He wagged his tail happily and gave her a small grin.

She sat up as well, groaning slightly. That had hurt! She struggled and moved away from the stranger, not one to get nervous at meeting others. "Oh... you aren't a badger!" She sounded slightly disappointed. "I had a really nice conversation with one once, but I couldn't understand most of his words."

Her tail wagged and she smiled at him. "I came from.. well... above you, I guess. I'm seaking a hunt!" She grinned to him. "My name is Binifu."

"A badger to eat?" Kiji cocked his head at her, then laughed. "I'm hungry too...I can hunt with you." He said, nodding. He was such an odd character, here he was, asking someone that had just tumbled over him to hunt with him.

At least he wasn't shy though. Being shy was no good, especially in a new place, where you had no idea where you were half the time. He wagged his tail again, standing to look around. "I was going to sleep, but I thought some food would help it along anyways." He grinned, pawing at the dirt he'd just been laying in. It wasn't really cool anymore anyways.

"No.. just to chat with." She grinned foolishly and then yipped, tail wagging again. "Oh yes, help would be appreciated. "So what is your name?" Her ears flickered as she stood up and stretched, nipping at him and heading into the night, expecting him to follow.

(Sorry it's so short X.X)

Kiji trotted after her slowly, wondering where she was leading him. "I'm Kijivu, you can call me Kiji though." He said, looking sideways at her as he matched her gait. "Where are we going?" He asked, tail waving happily as they ran.

"Kiji, huh?" She was about to say her name, when she realize it'd already been said. "Nice ta meet ya, we're heading into the random!" She grinned at him. "You wanted to hunt... right?" her head tilted and she 'guhd' as she stumbled forward, tripping over a rock. She went back to looking where she was going.

Kiji smiled at her, and quickened forawrds to help her steady herself, so she didn't trip again. "Hunt...yes." He said, looking around quicly, before aslo bringing his eyes back to the path.

"So...How long have you lived here?" He asked, not sure how exactly to start a conversation with her, they were running. And, well. Running didn't always need voices to go with it, but he'd just met her after all.

"On the sevannah, you mean?" She was a bit distracted, intesnly looking for something to eat. At least she had heart where she lacked intelligence, right? "I've lived here all my life!" She yipped, tail wagging slightly. "With momma, 'til just recently. You?" She glanced over to him.

"Well. I don't know how long I've been here, but I know I'm not from here. Or, I'm not supposed to be here. SOmething like that." He said, also wagging his tail. He perked his ears and fidgeted in the dirt for a moment.

"How about that one?" He asked, pointing his nose in the direction of a small foal that had wandered away from it's mother and was now drinking, back to them from a puddle of water that had collected near a small pile of rocks.

]She giggled slightly. "I completely missed the little guy, but he looks good!" Her tail wagged as well as her body slowly went into hunting mood, she'd ask him later about why he shouldn't be here, or didn't belong or whatever.

"Alright then, how about we go around this way?" Kiji said, stalking off around a small hill of rocks, very conveniently placed. He looked over his shoulder at Binifu and then back to where he was going, pushing his body as low to the ground as was possible. He froze in place in a small patch of rather long grass and looked through it, knowing that he remained invisible to the zebra.

Binifu nodded slowly and she followed the male toward where he was going. She wondered who would start, or if maybe she should head a little away from him so they could trap the prey? That sounded best so that was what she did, and then she glanced to him, indicating she was ready.

Kiji winked at Binifu, and then dashed away from his hiding place, coming from the left of the foal, leaving it stunned and unable to move. It stood there watching him, hardly even breathing, and he leapt upon it, small white daggers sinking into the flesh of it's neck. He held on tight, as it collapsed, and all the others ran in the opposite direction. He thought it was kind of sad that even it's own mother would run away from it, but he was hungry, and that was what mattered. It's feet still kicking, he waited for Binifu to help him finish it off, and then they could eat.
