The series that started it all, or so it's speculated. Talk about how much Ken owns Ryu here! xd

Sage Ruffin I have no idea. I just know that I can't avoid it so much for some odd reason. o.O Weirdness...I ask because I grabbed Kenrick out of it the other night. I grabbed him out of that rolling kick super art with Hugo's command grab where the bounces you off the wall. It threw me totally off-guard ecause I didn't think it would work. xd

Interesting... I thought Akuma's Shoryuken is the only special move that could nullifies the super combo move. Capcom...is getting interesting.

Wow...you're uh...kinda late, aren't you, bud? sweatdrop That was back in Super Street Fighter II Turbo, when Akuma was a hidden character, and back then, all of the Ansatsuken users (Ryu, Ken, and Akuma) had invincible SRK's. Nowdays, not so invincible, but still a threat.

Parries are my bane. I can't do them, like, ever. Sometimes I'll get a random parry if I'm doing crouching attacks immediately after an opponent (down-parry their crouching move, then throw my own) or if I'm doing forward and an atack (forward parry a close fireball, then Dart Shot). It's always by accident, never on purpose. Unless someone's just throwing fireballs from across the screen, then I can parry all day until a super one comes flying to me.

You know... with parries and all, I was at Otakon going toe-to-toe with this Ryu user with my Elena, I did Elena's Brave Dnace, and he parried the first hit.
Unfortunately for him, his reaction time wasn't quite up to snuff with the rest of the move. mrgreen

I've parried all of Brave Dance, along with 3 consecutive Hadoukens from Ryu (normal, EX, Shinkuu). But of course, I konw this stuff accounts for diddly in a eal fight, unless I see it coming.

Oh man...parrying...lol...something I love to do right there. Not to be a showoff or anything, but just to see if I can pull off the parry.
I WILL, however, brag from time to time if I can pull off something particularly noteworthy. xd
Yes, I know that parrying can get you murdered due to several different variables that can go unacounted for before they happen, like throws, or if your opponent mixes things up someway that you aren't expecting. Still, if I know that my opponents are going to throw an outright barrage of attacks at me, like Kenrick almost always tends to do when he uses Akuma, then I catch the urge to try to parry it.
This leads to one of my favorite moments fighting him, though. 3nodding
We'd set the Super Art gauge max to +1 in the Extra Options menu, which meant that when he used Messatsu Gou Hadou with Akuma, he got two gauges instead of one. We got into the fight, and he, of course, used Akuma with Messatsu Gou Hadou, while I chose Ibuki with the Yoroi-Doushi, her second super art. The whole match, I'd been pretty much memorizing Kenrick's attacks, as he tends to fall into patterns when he thinks something he's doing is working to an extent when something he comes up with can keep the opponent on the defensive. Needless to say, the whole fight through, he'd made use of Akuma's projectiles; super art or not, he threw plenty of themm and usually followed with some sort of air attack.
The fifth round comes around, and I figure I know what he's doing well enough by now, so let's see how much of what he does I can parry. I think he knew what went through my mind then, because he threw projectiles like there was no tomorrow...but he didn't advance behind them as he normally did.
Then the end of the fight came.
He started by tossing out one of Akuma's three-hit fireballs, then one of his Super Art fireballs behind that one, both of which I proceeded to parry. Meanwhile he jumped into the air and tossed yet ANOTHER Super Art down at me. The first was just ending, so while I was parrying the second, he had time enough to land and jump toward me, and he tossed out a Fierce Punch on the way down, which I also parried, followed by a crouching medium kick. Also parried. Right off of that, he goes into a fierce hurricane kick. Parried it, and as soon as he landed, I pulled off the Yoroi-Doushi and blew away the last of his health. He dropped the controller and walked out, then came back in about ten minutes later, and he and his brother demanded that we play something other than SFIII: Third Strike for the rest of that day. xd

Haha dude I parry the s**t out everything. Sometimes I do unnecessary parrying (a hadouken from all the way across the stage). I should post some matches on the interweB!
