as long as there's anything, there will always be peole hating it, that goes double for wrestling fans...in the words of Paul Heyman, Wrestling is like music, and we have a wrestler we love highly (like HBK for example) and then we have wrestlers we hate to the extreme (such as John Cena), well now this is a place where you can express just how much you don't like anything dealing with wrestlers

discussion:
wrestlers you don't like
wrestling feds you don't like
Wrestling Styles you don't like (Hardcore, Technical etc.)
Storylines etc.

keep in mind this isn't just some place to mindlessly flame endlessly about someone else's favorite wrestler just because you want to start something...so keep it literate and respectful and please...don't argue in here, this is a vent for some things that you find a turnoff about wrestling.

you know, I don't care much about specific wrestlers, but it's the styles of wrestling that get to me...these specific styles get on my nerves!

Hardcore Wrestling
as much as I used to like Hardcore wrestling, I can't stand it now because it can really hurt people and plus some of the weapons that some of the idiots that do Hardcore wrestling is just really really absurd, I mean light tubes and barbed wire, who the hell said that stuff is cool? I really enjoy a good Tables, Ladders and Chairs match every now and again, but when it gets just disgusting such as light tubes, glass, thumbtacks and all that trash

Power Wrestling
for those wrestlers that rely heavily on muscle-powered moves and nothing more I feel bad for you, I mean sure you can throw people and stuff but I just never thought that was cool, but I do think of it as traditional so I respect it, but I just don't like it too much

I harshly dislike "fangirls: (not girls that are fans because I'm one of those). I have a reason though. I'm a chick that's been watching wrestling since 1988. Just because now there's this massive influx of girls that want to breed the children of ***insert wrestler here*** people just automatically assume that I'm one of that type. I'm really not.

I have my favorites, but it's not based on looks at all. One of my favorite wrestlers has always been Chris Benoit (back to the ECW days)... and come on.. there's nothing hot about a man missing teeth (well not to me anyways). I guess it's just that I really hate that people assume that I watch WWE, ECW or even occasionally TNA to oogle at boys. Hardly true.

I do not love HBK, RVD, Angle, Golddust, Bret Hart, Taker... or any of my other favorites because of their looks. I love their style of wrestling. I am a bigger fan of technical and hardcore styles. Get over the fact that I'm a woman and talk technical wrestling to me or talk about the old days of WWF! That's sexy wink

I don't like stupid people that don't like something just because other people don't and dont' have any kind of motive towards it...it's kinda pointless to not like something and not have a reason for it or just not like it because other people don't I mean I like Shawn Michaels and I think he's a true wrestling god or at least close to a god that any wrestler can get but Jeck doesn't now let's just say that other people won't like Shawn because Jeck doesn't I can't stand that sort of thing

(This is kinda in topic)
I really hate people who think wrestling fans are stupid. What I mean by that is people who respond to the fact that I am a fan of wrestling by telling me its fake, or not a sport, or whatever the dipshit manual tells them. Quite frankly its an insult to the intelligence of many people to say this because it is understood that it is entertainment, and not competitive in the sense of a sport. However, I like to point out the athletic ability of the performers and how ignorant it is to call it fake. In the sense of the word, fake is so vague as to state that all parts of wrestling is predetermined which is not necessarily true.
Also, I hate people who offer no reason to praise/condemn a wrestler. NOTHING is more annoying to me than when someone exclaims one wrestler is an awesome wrestler with no reason to back up the statement. Another situation I hate is when someone gets angry at another for liking a wrestler. You cannot disprove an opinion, only a fact, and people seem to confuse this alot now-a-days. Like, if someone says they like John Cena, they should get yelled at. If they said he is the greatest athlete in the world than there can be debate. All I'm saying is that people are entitled to their oppinions, and anyone who claims otherwise obviously has their head shoved so far up their a** that they can neither see nor hear! b***h!
(Wow, this is a good idea. I really needed to get that stuff off my chest)

I personally don't like Shawn because out of the 2 he was the least talented of the Rockers tag team. He is in the spotlight that Marty Janety should have had but Janety got shafted.

Ok I am really hating that Rey one the title. I was the biggest supporter for him to win a World title but I hate the way they did it. With the whole "eddie is looking out for me" story line. I really hope that his title reign isn't more than a month.

Also I am really starting to hate Orton because of his backstage antics. I have no use for a person that has that kind of attitude in reality , and I have no use for someone that treats women the way he is reported to do.

Once again, you earn my respect Miss Golightly. It's one thing to like a wrestler for his style or gimmick, but to simply like him because "OH EMM EFF GEE!!! HE'S EFFING HAWT<3!!!!1!!11!" is ridiculous to me. I've always been an HBK fan because of his style, and I've liked Triple H since the Original DX days. They're both talented stars, and I like both of their styles and gimmicks. I'm even a John Cena fan (braces for flamage) because he's original. They gave him a persona that works. I actually have a friend who is a wrestling fan who said she liked Cena and his raps. I asked her why and she replied. "Because he's hot." I wanted to slap her -_-

For the first time since I've been in this guild, Jeck and I agree on something. I like to call these people "fair weather fans". I'll use the recent 'Legend vs. Icon' storyline. Shawn Michaels has been a face since his return in 2002. When he gets paired with Hulk Hogan, he Superkicks him, and now the fans turn on him. He's on the bad side of the biggest face hero in the history of sports entertainment. Now people who are holding up the "HBK I WANT YOUR SECKS" signs, suddenly tear those signs up because he and Hogan are fighting. Then after the Summerslam matchup (Which Shawn got shafted out of in my opinion) he shakes Hogan's hand, and all is quiet on the Western Front again. If you're a fan of a wrestler, you follow them wherever they go. Face or Heel.

You have no idea how many times I heard that s**t in high school. "Why do you like that crap? It's fake." or "Yeah, cuz I love to watch to sweaty half naked men roll around on each other. Bunch of fags!" You are all too right in this aspect that yes, it is entertainment, and yes, people are morons for telling us that "it's fake". Shawn Michaels back injury wasn't fake, Chris Benoit's neck injury wasn't fake, Bret Hart's concussion wasn't fake, Triple H's torn quad wasn't fake. To quote every WWE DVD/Video release:
WWE Home Video]Yes, this is entertainment, but the hazards are real.[/quote]

To be truthful, Jannety was unsure of his future in WWE, and Vince saw promise in Shawn. Jannety tried to get Shawn to jump ship with him to WCW, but declined at Vince's request, he then broke onto the Intercontinental scene, and the rest is history.

I also agree with you on the "Eddie is looking out for me" storyline thing. As I've said before, I think it's ******** 8 ways from Sunday that they're using SOMEONE'S DEATH to promote a storyline. I'm all for underdogs in the spotlight, but let's get serious here people. Rey Mysterio? I'm a Mysterio fan, but in all seriousness, he should not have won the Rumble.

As far as Orton goes, I think his a** ought to be fired. He isn't entertaining to watch, and as you stated, he's just as big a douchebag on camera as he is off camera. He isn't heavyweight material, and got a free ride because of who his father is.

And now for my personal beef to discuss: Diva's matches. I think that these matches are downright a waste of ******** airtime. This whole "Bra and Panties" and "Playboy Lingerie Pillow Fight" stuff is bullshit. These women aren't even atheletes in my opinon. I've seen one good Diva's match in recent memory, and that was Mickie James vs Trish Stratus at Wrestlemania 22. ALL Divas should be like Mickie James. She actually WRESTLED the match and kudos to Trish for delivering as well. If you research Mickie James, she is one BAD b***h. She's wrestled in all kinds of cage and hardcore type matches. She's a tough woman. Another problem I have with the Divas is their style is sloppy. If you watch the guys wrestle, they make the impact look real. The women look like they're acting (quite badly I might add). If more women actually wrestled as opposed to rolling around on the mat pulling each other's hair, and more matches were like the Women's Title match at WM22, I wouldn't have an issue with it.

I forgot one thing. I really canot stand that damned heavyweight title that John Cena has. It is a disgrace to every person that has held the title before him and I cannot wait till he losses it and they change it back or design a new one. But its not just that I hate the spinner title. I hate it when they make a specialized belt for any champion. cause if the are going to do it for one or two why not do it for everyone.

So did you not like the "Smokin' Skull" belt that Steve Austin had?

Also, if you watched wrestling in the Hogan days, the "Winged Eagle" belt was designed because of Hogan.

As a matter of fact I did hate the Smoking Skull belt. Along with the Spinning U.S. , and that Hardcore title that the specificaly (SP) designed when Bradshaw had it before they took it away. Designed because of and designed for are two different things. there was nothing about the "Winged Eagle" title that directly linked it to Hogan and he wasn't even the first person to hold it. Randy Savage won it at the tournament at WM4 and Hogan won it from him at WM5.

Another thing I truly dislike, I don't appreciate the whole "monster push" thing that most wrestlers get, I mean like TNA's Samoa Joe, he's a great wrestler and he's an awesome competitor, but if you ask me, he doesn't deserve a big push, he already got that during his ROH career by being the longest holding champion in RoH (I mean come on! 21 MONTHS!), I don't appreciate pushes like that because when those kind of pushes come in, that mean sthat some wrestlers that other people want to see (like me, I want to see Mikey Batts and Jerelle Clark as well as some other undercard wrestlers) to be almost nonexistant!
