I've had a re-acurring dream where I'm in a show but I dont have a costume, I dont know my lines, I dont even know what show it is, and the whole thing is going to hell. I've talked with other actor friends of mine and they say they've had similar dreams. Has anyone else had dreams like this?

I have 'em, but mine always end right before the show actually starts... probably a blessing in disguise, there.

I have those all the time. Usually I've got a costume on, though. For some reason, I only find out that I'm in the play a few hours before it actually happens.

Someone wrote an entire play on that concept. I can't for the life of me remember who the playwright was, but he'd written a lot of other odd comedies, including a short one at the DMV...

I always have dreams after the shows I have done that I have to redo the show again, but something is always weird. The worst one was when I did The Importance of Being Earnest in the school's parking lot...

I once sang Master of the House outside in a Globe like theater, in the snow, while the audience was having a massive snowball fight.

I also performed Little Shop of Horrors to an audience entirely in Spiderman and The Hulk costumes.

I've had dreams like that before, but usually it's opening night...and I didn't even know I was in the play! It's actually rather interesting, because one part of my brain is playing the other actors and seems to have the whole script in hand...while the part playing me is trying to make things up, usually ending in disaster.

I know. That's wierd it's like your mind has this whole twisted play just stashed away in your brain.

Like, just after we did 'The Wizard of Oz', I had this recurring dream where we'd be doing the show, but whenever I was on the flies (I was Glinda) the ropes would break and I would fall on the Munchkins. Then this past Sunday I had a dream where our school did 'The Lion King' and I was Rafiki and I guess there wasn't supposed to be a top to my costume so I was onstage with a bare chest. The show went good though.

Mister I also performed Little Shop of Horrors to an audience entirely in Spiderman and The Hulk costumes. Am I the only one who would actually pay money to see that? That sounds amazing. XD
