Instead of scribbling sample over all my edits, I'd like to make pale scan lines instead. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks heart

I think I do, although it depends what program you use. What i do is make a whole bunch of lines on a different layer (in a photoshopesque program, GIMP) and then lower the opacity. That way, it doesn't obscure the entire edit, just makes them harder to steal.
Don't look at my shop though, I need to make the lines more transparent >.<

I've got photoshop elements (I know, I know ^_^;; ) if that helps.

Well, can you make layers and change transparancy?

Yes, just not terribly well. Would I just repeat one line a bunch of times?

Here's a way to make scan lines without making every single line:

1) Take a layer and make one black line and one white line. Make sure that they line up parallel to each other with top edge of one line touching the bottom edge of the other line.

Make the lines the same thickness, but use whatever thickness you like. (I tend to use 1px wide).

2) Select both lines and use edit -> define pattern.

3) Delete the individual lines and select the fill tool. Make sure the fill tool is set to Pattern.

4) Fill the layer with your scan lines.

5) Play with the layer opacity until you have the lines at the desired opacity.

If you want a walkthrough with images, I can make one in Photoshop 5.0 sometime this week.
