Gai is prolly stronger but Kakashi is better at tactics and such...

That's a really good question........hmmm..........
I'm not sure, considering they have beaten each other at different things equal amount of times, it's a real hard call.
I guess if I had to pick, I think Kakashi, just because he comes off as the type that could get his a** kicked by Gai.
Those are the types that end up being the better fighter.
If that made any sense........ sweatdrop

Hmmm...now that's an excellent question...They're pretty evenly matched,but I think Gai's got more stamina. So I'm gonna have to go with Gai-san.

I would have to go with the "equal" option. When you look at them both they embody two distinct ways of becoming a great Shinobi in the world of naruto. Gai has determination, preserverence, and that flashy smile. Kakashi has undisputed genius and the sharingan. Kakashi's power was givin at some point in his life (intelligence, the sharingan, a good sensei) while Gai earned everything he has through blood sweat and tears. Neither really holds the advantage in battle since their attributes balance out.

I am not going to take Kakashi's side because I like him more-- that is just low and pathetic. In fact, I don't like Kakashi as much as I used to, so that really doesn't matter.
And Gai, sheesh, I wouldn'yt go for his side in a thousand years.

I like them both. And I would say they are equal in strength. I mean Gai has good taijutsu skills and also has the Ura Renga. Now For Kakashi, what makes him equal to Gai is not strength, but the tactics he can employ. However, he also has the Sharingan and the Chidori. Kakashi's speed most probably matches Gai's...
