The gameboard dimension dumped them into the city streets of Destiny City before Tyndareus could get an answer of Pyrrhus. He managed to keep his footing, jarred as he was by the movement, and kept his gaze trained on Pyrrhus. He didn't want to turn his back on this alien. He vaguely recalled the conversation he'd had with the fish one when they'd fought, but the details escaped him. He'd been too pinned down mentally by the thing's magic. But some part of this pinged off in his brain and told him this had something to do with the reincarnation. Was the outfit so recognizable, even when "corrupted" by Chaos?

"Tell me how you knew my name," he bit out insistently, planting his feet firmly.

He wouldn't be surprised by an attack this time.

Pyrrhus sighed. It had been stupid of him to let that slip; better to keep your cards close to your chest, and also potentially funnier to drop that on Tyndareus when Pyrrhus could have seen his face.

But he'd been...worried. About what might happen, given the danger they were in.

"Can we go back to you calling me handsome? I liked that better," he sighed. But, no, of course, it wasn't going to be that easy.

"I know your name because Senshi don't change that much, reincarnation to reincarnation, it seems. Some differences, sure, but--" A wry, bitter little smile pulled its way across his face. "I knew the old Tyndareus." Deeply. Intimately. In a way where he would have known those eyes anywhere, no matter what else changed.

"Sailor Pyrrhus of Nihility, by the way, so now we're at least even on that sort of information."

Tyndareus regretted calling this alien handsome. He did not care for that remark one bit.

However... this did seem like an excellent opportunity to gather intelligence. Even if the alien—Sailor Pyrrhus—appeared to be savvy enough to potentially want an equivalent exchange of information. Calling them 'even' for knowing each other's name now wasn't the sort of thing your average citizen said. This called for finesse.

"I'm sorry for your loss," he said, not trying to sound too empathetic, but not wanting to sound outright pathetic, either. He pretended to hesitate for a moment, as if wondering if he should even ask, then—

"It's typical, then, for a senshi to be largely similar to their previous life?" he asked, a little intrigued. "Are we speaking of personality, looks...?"

Pyrrhus shrugged. "I don't know all the details, really. And I could be spouting guesses. Things can change--things do change. Truth be told, the only guarantee is that in your chest," he curled a hand into a fist and tapped it right at the center, "you carry the same starseed as every other Sailor Tyndareus. The thing that connects you to your world. But your reincarnations--they're different. Weird. The rules have changed."

Was he saying too much? Giving over too much information? Whatever, it wasn't like knowing how reincarnation worked would give Chaos some sort of edge. Surely they had people who knew, anyway.

"Like, big one? Senshi aren't usually born off their world. All you humans who got starseeds from space? That's not how it usually works. So it's actually probably pretty remarkable that you look so similar. Some obvious changes. Old Tyndareans had wolf ears and a tail, humans don't get those. But broad strokes, you look enough like him that I was pretty sure I knew who you were."

Had been sure the moment he'd seen him, but no reason to reveal that much.

"Anyway, the loss happened a thousand years ago, and was one of many." If he pretended he didn't care, it might keep him safe.

The rules have changed. Now that was fascinating. Likely, this was information buried somewhere in the scores of information the Negaverse had compiled, and if he went looking for it, he'd find it—but obtaining the information this way was nice. He could corroborate it in the files later, with more specific search terms.

"Interesting that the humans tend to look so much like an alien past life self," he mused, mostly to himself. "Even without the... sorry, wolf ears?"

Why that information in particular was so baffling, he didn't quite know.

"Not my first choice of animal parts," he remarked dryly, "I'd much prefer bats, if I was going to be a furry."

Pyrrhus shrugged. "Can't promise it always worked--works--like that. There were Pyrrhuses of all sorts, before me. And we weren't sure if it was me or my cousin, until the Mauvian told us it was me. But observation is that there are...similarities."

At least with some of the people in this particular cycle.

"You say this word, furry, like you expect me to know what it means," he deadpanned, raising his eyebrows. "Then again, you humans have a lot of funny words for things." Expectations, perhaps. People found his fanciful dress and use of a parasol worth commenting on, and he'd heard a couple different terms suggested. "Vampire" was his favorite, and sometimes he thought about getting some fangs.

There was some kind of holiday coming up that seemed to expect costumes. Maybe he'd get dressed up for that.

"Anyway, I'm not an expert on the rules. But I know you're Tyndareus of Tyranny, and I also know that you shouldn't be Chaos. You know you're serving something that's gonna destroy this whole pretty planet, right?"

Tyndareus wanted nothing more than to stand here and question Pyrrhus until the end of time, if it were possible. But he did have the Negaverse database to turn to, and it was highlighted with links in a similar way to Wikipedia, so... As long as he landed on the right few articles at the start, now that he knew a little more thanks to Pyrrhus here, it was incredibly likely he'd find most of the information he desired, anyway. And if he didn't.... Then perhaps he could make notes of questions to have on hand the next time he ran into Pyrrhus. Perhaps he could manipulate whatever small amount of lingering affection Pyrrhus still had for the old Tyndareus...

"Hah, well. Should you stay on Earth long enough, you'll find out. Destiny City is... full of strange people," Tyndareus said. "Though I'd prefer you didn't."

He sighed at the admonishment of Chaos. "That seems to be the take a lot of you over there have," he noted. "I'm certain of my decision, however. I see no reason not to trust it, when it's helped us. Particularly against the, ah, world-eating dragon. It is the White Moon I don't trust. Too many pretty promises from people who don't prioritize what they call the only living planet in the universe."

Pyrrhus rolled his eyes. "And where do you expect me to go? Look, I've had an eventful enoguh night tonight, but let's find each other again. Let me show you my planet, and you can come up with a good suggestion for where else I can go but here."

He shrugged his shoulders.

"Speaking from experience, that's the beauty of it. It promises you power. Makes you think it'll give you what it wants. But Chaos does nothing but eat, and eat, and eat. Hungrier than that Herald, really. I can show you that, too."

Maybe it wouldn't make a difference. Maybe it would.

"Don't die, Tyndareus. It'd be a waste," Pyrrhus said, and then he gave a little wave. "We'll find each other again, I'm sure."
