Physical fighting was not Aruna's forte. She knew how to survive by protecting herself, but fighting back was never something she had learned. Protect your face and head, make yourself as small of a target as possible, etc etc etc. That was ingrained into her from experience. But fighting back? Fighting dirty? Never in a million years as a civilian had she ever thought to learn that. Now that she was a senshi, however, the stakes were so much higher, and surviving was so much more important.

When Grieve had agreed to teach her how to survive a bad fight, she was admittedly surprised but also incredibly thankful, even a little relieved. In return and thanks for the lessons, she had made an honestly impressive amount of food to give the deep space senshi. Various different savory and sweet options were carefully prepared and put into various containers for carrying, including her favorite labor of love to make; baklava. Her grandfather had taught her how to make it the way his family did back in Greece; positively dripping with the honey syrup as opposed to just barely coated with it. She had, of course, tried other types of baklava, but absolutely nothing compared to this despite how messy it was. She also had stuck a bottle of her grandfathers wine into the bag, planning to offer it to her as well should she enjoy alcohol.

Carefully shifting the large tote bag up higher onto her shoulder, Aruna made her way to where they agreed to meet. She was, admittedly, quite anxious about this endeavor, but the faintly glowing marks that now adorned her skin reminded her that she could be confident in her abilities, that she should have faith in herself far beyond what she used to allow. This was important to learn, and she planned to pass some of the lessons on to any of the newer magical recruits she might encounter as well. As she came to the meeting spot, she looked around to see if she could spot the very easily noticeable, very yellow, very tall woman.

It was just some ******** park, because place wasn't important with a big ******** Eternal publicly gunning for Grieve's a**. Using magic or even just staying in one place too long weren't part of her survival plan, here. But she did promise the other senshi some lessons, and Grieve kept her word and her contracts. A merc had to, otherwise they weren't really a mercenary at all. Just some rat ********' scammer.

Seeing Aruna all lit up managed to grab Grieve's attention before even the bag of goods. "Cosmos ********' spit in my eye and call me grev'an, worlds' just give those out like candy now, huh?"

She was griping and looking at Aruna like she'd just cheated at Mario Kart, but was also giving the smaller senshi a few congratulatory slaps on the back. "In my day it was so ********' rare most people thought is was some fairy tale, told to all the s**t-a** baby basics and pages so they'd good kids and love their duty until it loved them the ******** back."

Which. Gross.

And then, hand still on Aruna's back, she pulled the girl through the aether and a moment later, they were once again on Grieve's world. Once again in a desolate city of stone and clay, standing in the middle of a sunbleached street.

This time, there were no storms in sight.

Aruna blinked at the tall, yellow woman and tried to hold back a snort. Grieve really did have the most interesting ways of swearing. "Maybe something shifted. Maybe the planets or starseeds or something think we need to have more boosts in power?" Her mind went back, yet again, to the knowledge she gained with the others on the Moon that there Calamitous Hollow was not the only one of its ilk. The slaps on her back almost made her stumble, but also made her grin. It felt good to be congratulated by someone she saw as stronger than her. Strong, imposing, and a little terrifying was how she saw Grieve now, rather than just scary as all get out.

A squeak escaped her as she was pulled, and her eyes widened. Oh. s**t. She knew exactly where they were. Mentally kicking herself for not having anticipated that, Aruna took a deep breath. "....somehow it looks even more unnerving without the looming storm on the horizon." It was mostly muttered under her breath, but she was fairly sure Grieve heard.

Before they could go any further, Aruna held up the large bag she had brought with her. "I may have gotten a little carried away with making food. I wasn't sure what you especially liked, so I made sweet and savory things. And a lot of them." One of these days, she would have to ask Basiluzzo if that was just a family curse or something, feeling the need to make way too much food to feed anyone around them. "There's also wine that my grandfather made in there too. I wasn't sure if you drank, but I figured if you didn't, you could give it to someone who did."
