Tea had found herself, once again on her homeworld. The noise of the crickets were still startling to the senshi when she had come to the home world once upon a time when things were dead quite and no life existed at all.
She had a few containers with her to carry bugs, she wondered if she could capture it and study it for a little while without having to worry about it dying. "First one goes to Blathers" She said as she took a small net and followed one of the crickets.
What she did not realize is she had followed it out to the little river that ran before she caught the rascal. There was a grin as she plopped it into the little bug box she had bought. "Alright, there we go."
She had pulled her senshi phone out to take pictures but stopped dead when she saw something else move. There was a pause and her eyes narrowed. For some reason, there was a fresh water crab??
The senshi looked at it long and hard. It was not quite a crab as she had never seen a pink one before and it had a large claw and a smaller claw. The creature had to be about ten inches in width. Making it fairly large all things considering. She sat the cricket she had caught down and started following the little crab guy.
Not only was it's shell pink there was a soft blue color on the underbelly. It almost looked like cotton candy with the colors it sported. She took her net and swiftly caught it up inside and plopped it into the second box she had brought with her.
She was now inspecting the creature as it bubbled at the mouth. "Do not worry it won't take long, I need some pictures to document you and figure out what you're called."
She assured the creature as she picked up the cricket box and carried both towards the little house she knew her past self had lived in. When she was inside she sat both on the table and lit the lanterns that brightened up the room in order to give better light to see by.
She started rummaging through books that were on the bookshelves and though she couldn't read them. She was sure she could find pictures of the creatures. "Why are you now showing up?"
She asked curiously as if these creatures could answer her. She sat a couple of books on the table that looked like they had animal pictures inside. She would at least mark them if she could not read them. Tea hoped that eventually she might be able to figure out what the books were saying.
"So... now then one of these should have what you two are." She mused as she thumbed through finally finding the cricket first. "AH-HA!"
She nodded profusely looking at the page, it had pictures detailing the creature and showing it's parts but beyond the image and how arrows were pointing at things, she had no idea what it said.
"Well... at least I found your dex entry." There was a laugh as she took pictures of the dictionary and then of the cricket itself. Maybe she could get someone to help her analyze the data.
Tea then scouted out the information for the crab though it did not look as if it was in this particular book. She flipped through the second one she had found, and again came up empty handed. There was a frown, she went back to the bookcase and started riffling again until she found three more books and shifted through finally finding it "Oh, this would be so much easier if I could read what these things are. I might have to slap subtitles on it with best guesses of what it was."
She was looking at how fragile some of the pages were, the books were considerably well preserved but there was still age and still questionable pages. Though she thought they might be made from fabric instead of paper like earth's pages were. "Hm, I need a librarian too I think."
She said softly wondering if someone was able to help there. She snapped pictures of the crab and it's entry in the dex. "Alright I'm bringing paper bags and making book jackets so I can label these -- probably terribly and miss label them but still I need a faster way to figure out what's what." She said as she was looking at the information that made zero sense to her.
There was a stretch before standing up, "Alright Blathers has his dex entries, now, then. . . " She put the books away and picked up the insect boxes that the two creatures were in, and moved to take them outside.
She hummed as she did dropping to her knees close to the grass and letting the cricket go first. It took off quickly gliding from where she released it deep in to the grass. She gave a soft wave, "Thank you for letting me study you."
She looked at the crab and nodded as she headed back towards the water where she found it, "I have no idea why you are a fresh water crab but I guess it does not matter." She said softly as she dropped to her knees and opened the insect box to let the crab out and watched as it foamed again before heading back towards the water and sliding in easily.
It also did not take long for the crab to disappear under the water and go back into hiding. "I wonder if it's something that could be eaten though."
Tea looked thoughtful into the water and wondered if there were more creatures she had not seen before hiding under the water itself. The senshi decided she needed to continue her studies of her homeworld and figure out what else existed here.
However, for tonight. She decided it was good enough she had managed to locate the species she had seen last visit and now, this visit had a new creature as well. "Blathers would be pleased." She said softly as she stood up and took her insect crates and dismissed them into her space pocket of holding.
The senshi then headed home to make notes and see who she could find to assist her.
