Things were getting worse with Albite, and Litharge was officially worried. He'd been in the infirmary for a few days after being stabbed in the eye. On one hand, Lith wanted to take him by the shoulders and shake him. On the other, he wanted to give him a damn intervention. Maybe by taking his own starseed for a few hours and just making the damn man rest. That probably wouldn't help with the healing process though.

Maybe just swipe his henshin pen once Albite stopped being powered up, so he couldn't really go anyway for a while. Lith ran a hand down his face, the scratch of his beard a little calming. He almost would rather Albite was like Zuzu and just shut down for a while. Might keep him alive longer than whatever the ******** he was doing now.

Albite was finally out of observation and taking more visitors than just Borax and Tincan. He'd probably be okay, if blind in one eye, but now Lith was going to go do the thing he apparently was really good at: talking him into rational thought again. Look, he knew he was a big teddy bear of a man, who was one of the more level headed people on the team - shocking, that - and he did genuinely love Albite but man you'd think his other husband would be better for this. Then again, jury was still out if he was even talking to Cas right now.

Lith steeled himself and pushed the door to the infirmary open and made his way over to Albite's bed. He sank his weight into one hip, as if he was leaning against a wall, cross his arms and raised an eyebrow at the other massive man.

"So.... what did you do this time?" he said, voice only lightly chastising. For now.

There were times when he'd *liked* being powered up for exactly as long as this; it was a heady sort of ambrosia come with familiar trappings and free dry cleaning as an added perk. Though he would’ve sworn he could still smell the warmest parts of their not-so-little-anymore, built by hand, hearth and home on his skin. Even though ‘magic’ supposedly cleansed all remnants of 'familiar' and 'old' every time he donned and doffed it again. He still didn’t get how any of that worked. How it was possible to be sitting there, his dreads cut down to a manageable length (because the collective of orderlies weren’t going to ******** deal with chaos Senshi locs even on a good day! Let alone one of his worst. And neither was he, frankly.) and if he focused for the half-a-second it took to snap his fingers about it?

Poof — redone again — Human to Mess to Senshi — goldfish in a bowl to shark in a seascape — magic!

He'd liked it....

But this— it itched and crawled the way Headache-as-mantle had across his skin. Made him want to shuck his power and flush it down the nearest drain, and then turn the disposal on afterwards. It was, very decidedly, a bad idea to be stepping out of it. He'd dragged his feet with all his snapping and snarling, and now was paying the consequences for that. Ordered to stay down here, like this, by cooler heads and stern reminders from a pair of loving-to-a-fault sadists. While everyone figured out the *extent* of damage done, and more importantly?

How to fix it.

No matter how quick he'd been? His boys blade had been quicker, the shape of the wound wicked to match that of whatever cruel blade. Starseeds were an option -- yes -- but there were limits even to what they could do. Replacing delicate, squishy, in-ones-head organs, for example? A reach too far. And unless he wanted to try his hand at popping any number of mysterious pearls pissed out by some luminous object in the sky--

He wasn't dying enough to want to play russian roulette with twenty questions worth of 'which will kill you and which will make you stronger'. He wasn't a guinea pig. It became a litany of Hard no's. Fast pass's. <******** you, just let me sleeps--'

Lines drawn in the sand with more than a stick and barely-there-boundaries for once. He was starting to wonder to himself, oh so very quietly, if he wanted it all to heal wrong as a reminder. A lesson *kept* instead of gently washed away by yet more *magic!*

"Bought a subscription to eye-patches monthly---" Mirthless. He didn't feel like meeting Lith's gaze; barely peeking through his narrow window of vision at the tall man who he owed a hell of a lot more to than a bad joke. It was hard to keep up his passive avoidance for long, though. To do anything other than turn his good eye towards the unmovable monolith of his other steadiest subordinate. "Haah...almost started a war? Found...uhm...not Faustite...but also..." His shrug was one sided as his fingers skittered out atop the sheets to find each other atop his chest.
