It’s a beautiful, sunny day in Destiny City–for everyone but you. There’s not a cloud in the sky–except for yours. No matter where you go, a dark cloud seems to hover, casting shadows wherever you go. It’s been raining since you woke up today, and it’s like bad luck and bad weather just follows you. It’s a constant downpour, always exactly where you are. The raincloud is usually big enough to easily cover a full building, so if you stick around for too long, your misfortune will turn into someone else’s too. The raincloud might follow you for a few hours or for the whole day before slowly fading; there’s no escaping it, or the strange, sombre mood that seems to follow you.

Sable hadn't expected to wake up to a cloud over her head, something strange was happening. She stretched, sitting up in her van. It was suppose to be a good day. She had booked a gig at poetry night and had been reviewing her materials. But when she got out of bed she'd stumped her toe.

She muffled an irritated scream. Even though she was living in her van it was too close to others in the camp grounds she'd decided to rent out. There was a heavy sigh as she moved to make her morning coffee and a breakfast of waffles with sausage links and scrambled eggs. Her coffee pot decided to go on the fritz and sputtered out leaving Sable to make a sad face, "Aw I really liked this coffee pot. It was so cute."

It took her forever to find a little hello kitty themed coffee pot but here she was now without coffee. There was a shrug and she pulled out a kettle she used for the camp fires and put it on the stove to finish the coffee. At least she had a back up, but this was working out to be a strange day.

When she finished breakfast, after nearly burning her waffles. She realized it was raining out. "Great" She said softly as she got dressed and grabbed an umbrella and raincoat. When she walked outside Sable noticed that the sky was blue all expect for where she was, there was a fairly large rain cloud over her.

Which meant the raised garden that was on the camp ground was going to be too muddy to tend to that she was keeping with permission. The camp ground attendants liked it because they got food out of it and so did the other campers. There was a sigh as she walked by the raised beds, "I guess I'll tend to you later."

She decided to head down town maybe the rain could wouldn't follow her and she could turn her weirdly gray day back up side right.

As she walked humming to try and make herself feel better she noticed that she wasn't getting out of the rain. ". . . odd." She mused softly before looking back, it looked as if the rain had stopped and --- well was following her. She looked up peeking around her umbrella to see that the cloud was indeed following her.

"Oh it's going to be that kind of day huh?" She muttered before continuing down town. Other people seemed to also be bothered by the rain as she passed them the sudden down pour shocking a lot of people who were passing by. Sable made a stop into a record shop hoping the cloud would pass, shaking off her umbrella and her rain coat so as not to drip.

There were a few people who sounded disappointed when the rain started. Sable glanced out the door and looked ever irritated that it was still following her. She picked up a few new vinyl records, including a chappel roan and youngblud for her sister. She knew Sade loved new music so she hoped that she'd enjoy this.

After she checked out she looked to see the cloud - was regrettably still waiting on her to leave. The young woman gave a huff as she tucked the records under her arm and popped open the umbrella again. She explored the city making rounds until it was time for her to go to the poetry reading. The cloud followed her all day and just continued to irritate her and others who were passing by her; there were points were people were whispering.

She sat listening to the other poets trying to ignore the fact it was still raining outside and only where she seemed to be at. When it was finally her time Sable got up on stage and took a seat.

Closing her eyes she sat thoughtful, it wasn't what she originally planned on but she spoke softly, clearly into the mic what she was feeling.

"Grey, clouds sitting above.
The wind away it wont shove.
Following each step.
Ruining the pep.
Rain pitter patters on down.
Grey, clouds making me frown."

When she finished she stood up and gave a small bow before retreating to her seat. This had been a heck of a grey day.
