With the weather being warmer and cool, it was the perfect weather to be out. It was the picture perfect conductions to be outside. Not too hot. Not too cold. Just enough for a light, open hoodies, jeans, and some sneakers at nights. It made going places a whole lot more enjoyable.
Wolframite had already done grocery run later in the week, but with such nice weather, he wanted to get some snacks for the house. And most of all, he wanted ice cream. Thinking of Tinaksite, he shot them a message to see if they were up for a run to the convenience store. His treat. That way he could catch up, check in, and just share some time out.

Kat brightened when she got the note from Winter and shot back; ‘Yes, please I will meet you there.’.
She had been doing her best to stay present. To stay…active. To care. It was hard, but things like this, her friendship like this…made it worth it to keep trying…
Maybe if she…actually kept going out she would make more friends. Find more friends. Better friends? Friends who she could go and get ice cream and snacks with often instead of just…sometimes.
It always felt so strange to be in her glamour and she sighed, rubbing her eyes and leaning against the brick wall of the store that she was meeting her friend at. It was bright today. She wasn’t…used to bright anymore but…it was fine. The sun felt good.
When Winter came into view, Kat gave a small smile and a wave. “Hello.”

Winter came to meet Kat, dressed in casual wear as usual. A t-shirt, sneakers, jeans, and a open zipped hoodie. Their long hair was tied up into a ponytail as they came over. "Hey there. Thought it was a nice day to be out. Wanted to see the sun for a bit." He joked, though it was true. Being in the Negaverse most of the time and the other time out at night didn't do well for the body. His half-human self still needed sunlight, and it was nice to see the city when it was occupied by people.
"I really wanted some ice cream." He confessed. "And maybe a sandwich." The Bodega here had everything for easy living, and was a spot many people to get snacks, some basic groceries, smokes, newspapers, and frozen treats. Winter liked the sandwiches that were made every morning from the deli down the road and brought over to sell.
"Treats on me." He offered. "There are a few benches by the playground nearby.

“If the treats are all on you, I will not hold back, Winter.” Kat tried to hold back a smile but followed her friend into the small store, looking around and feeling…amused. Like she had the ability to joke, and it was nice. A very nice feeling. “If you are getting ice cream and a sandwich, I will do the same. Everything looks very tasty…how have you been? Is everything all right?”
Maybe this wasn’t the best spot to ask but, she sighed and grabbed herself an Italian sandwich and a pint of cookie dough ice cream…
If he were treating, she was going to indulge.
“If you wish to wait until we’re at the benches, I absolutely understand.”

He was good enough at masking their conversations as average, and he brushed off her concern. "Better. With everyone recovering, I was making sure Laven was doing okay. I think it really shook the both of us up pretty hard. I'm glad it got better. I'm - not the best at comforting others. I don't think. When that happened, it really shocked me. It just came too close to my own fears about loosing my eyesight again. I was a mess when that happened to me. I wanted to be there for them, but - well, I wasn't even to help myself when it happened to before."
He walked down the aisles, picking up a basket for them as he reached and picked out some chips. "I want to be strong. Strong for everyone when they need someone to lean on. But there are a lot of things that I'm still just as afraid of."
Winter went over to pick out a couple beef jerky sticks too.
