A month had passed since the trio of sorceresses had their days off. Lisanna seemed to have grown more serious ever since the visitation of the Director of the B.I.E., which shortly caused her to disappear shortly. Little was known about her vanishing act, asides her most immediate assistant had filled in as Headmaster, and some of her social duties dumped on Salem to make sure the interests of the Garden were well supported.

For a week, the girls were pushed too hard, with the patriarch's patience obviously waning with the new responsibilities pushed on him. Even casual observation would easily reveal that Salem was putting in at least twelve hours of work a day minimum, although he was more often breaching eighteen to twenty.

The heat for S3 only cooled when a surprise visitor could step in as a temporary tutor, Marianna Everett-Maris. Training gained a bit more of a social and living focused edge, with Marem joining in as support to probably really just spend more time with his elder sister. Marianna's special capacity for alchemic formulas, creating potions that could help the younger sorceresses focus their aspects to help them ease the strain of the more complicated aspects of sorcery to streamline lessons.

Week 3 is when everyone was awoken by freezing temperatures. Any who approached the foyer may be surprised by a strange visitor. Sou-Ho Nebulous, several well dressed men and Salem, obviously in a heated but hushed discussion. Once the Centrans had left, warmth was allowed to return to the building but Salem himself stayed quiet and chilly. He continued to stay fairly distant for the next few days, explaining little beyond 'they were running out of time.' However by the end of the week he had seemed to thaw, and a fatherly warmth had returned to himself abruptly.

Some guessed it was simply that Lisanna had returned from her excursion, freeing up more of his time, but his children were suspicious that something else had happened. Either way, the news struck that the Diarchy of the Everetts had come under suspicion of being the underlining cause of 'The Fall'. It seemed sudden, but sanctions on Winhill, and the freezing of several of the Everett's accounts causing resources suddenly to be tight. Worse they wanted Salem extricated to Centra for imprisonment, with accusations of him backing terrorism on top of The Fall turning public opinion against him.
