Eziya 1

Between her two children, Eziya felt that many times Fiiadri avoided her. While Taarum was quiet, he still found the time to show her his tricks with Ulgo or another sort of routine he had learned with one of his other pets. Fiiadri on the other hand despite her rambunctious personality was typically not seen around when she had her mind set on something. Eziya worried that she had done something to encourage this behavior, which was why she was out searching for the teen. She thought it time they talk about it, even if for a moment.

"Fiiadri dear? Darling?" She called, hoping her voice carried enough to locate the girl.

Fiiadri 1

Fiiadri had been practicing some of her magic tricks out in the yard when she heard her mother's voice. Part of her considered ducking around the side of the house out of sight to get some more practice time in uninterrupted. The thought didn't last long though. For once she sounded a bit more urgent, something that usually meant she was in trouble or actually needed help. She didn't really go out of her way to hang out with her mother, choosing instead to linger around her dad and watch him work instead. She liked his quick hands and how they both liked magic, and really just didn't feel like she and her mother had anything in common.

"Yes mother?" Fiiadri said reluctantly, stepping out from behind the side of the house to come into view.

Eziya 2

Eziya could feel the tenseness as she approached Fiiadri, a frown automatically coming to her as she looked at her daughter. Had she been like this as a teenager? She didn't think so. She'd always been one excited to speak with others, and that hadn't changed. She was the one who did most of the talking when it came between her and Serr too. Maybe Fiiadri took after Serr more, but that didn't really feel right either. Taarum was more of the reserved one, the one that considered his words carefully. Really she thought that her and Fiiadri were similar but the girl never wished to be around her.

"I was just coming to see what you were up to is all. I don't often get to see what you're working on like your father does, so I wanted to come see."

Fiiadri 2

Fiiadri looked at her mother in suspicion, slipping a set of jewels she'd been practicing with into her sleeve. It was a quick trick she'd learned from her father, more meant to snatch things away but she had adapted it for her own uses. Having her mother come out to look at what she was doing felt odd when she was usually so busy with her work. There were a lot of people to heal, babies to help deliver, and honestly Fiiadri felt it was much easier to bother her father overall.

"Oh well, nothing important I guess. Just working on some tricks to try and entertain some of the village is all."

Eziya 3

Eziya moved to stand near her daughter, hand gently brushing over her sleeve to remove any sort of hidden lint or dirt she perceived on her. She stared at her daughter a long moment before a soft chuckle escaped her, brushing her fingers against her hand. "You'll show me some of your tricks? You never really seek me out so I assume you typically wish to show your father instead? He certainly understands it more than I do."

Eziya wouldn't say she was envious that Fiiadri chose to spend more time with Serr, but more that she wished she would spend time with her as well.

Fiiadri 3

Fiiadri's frown deepened slightly at her mother's words, looking around in some attempt to see if she had been replaced by someone else or perhaps simply lost it a bit. Her father was nowhere around, Taarum was gone too, so she supposed anything was possible but still....her mom was always busy. She supposed now was as good a chance as any to show off a bit. She was very smart so maybe she would have her own pointers on the tricks she did.

"Uh sure mom. Of course, well follow me then I guess?" Fiiadri attempted to say, grabbing her mother's hand that had been brushing against her own hesitantly.

Eziya 4

Eziya happily followed after her daughter, humming softly as she tried to imagine the sort of tricks she would show her. Serr was always quick with his hands and able to hide things away with even the slightest bit of movement. It was something that had always charmed her even when they were young teens themselves. A roguish bit of subterfuge that maybe made her an easy mark at the time, but it was fun all the same. If Fiiadri had learned from the best she was sure her tricks were equally as good.

"You know your father used to show me his own tricks all the time when we were younger. Really I'm glad you could learn from him. He's quite skilled."

Fiiadri 4

Fiiadri resisted the instinct to cringe at her mother speaking about how she and her father were when they were younger. Really she hadn't asked about their relationship all that much despite how open the two were about things. She'd heard a little bit from Grandma Fiia and Uncle Thess, but how they had met, the time it took them to court, those were things Fiiadri hadn't asked too much on. Until recently she'd never even considered boys. She was focused on her goals after all.

"Instead of my magic trick uh, will you tell me a little....about you and dad?" She felt awkward asking, but her mother seemed to be well wanting to be around her.

Eziya 5

"Your father and I? Oh uh....if you really want to know," Eziya's face flushed at the question, moving to sit out at one of the benches they had near the house. Neither of the children had asked about them in that way, though she supposed the two of them were getting older. Eziya tried to consider where to start, what was appropriate, but really her and Serr's relationship wasn't so wild like others were. She could think of a certain fire friend of hers and her own wild adventures. There's was nowhere near that exciting. Well no, she thought it was exciting, but maybe not so tumultuous. She and Serr had been with each other a long time.

"We met when we were teenagers, about your age actually. I was traveling with a group of healers learning from then and well your father....he'd been stabbed recently," Eziya couldn't help but laugh, thinking of the still obvious scars along his side.

Fiiadri 5

Fiiadri had heard a little bit about this in passing. Grandma Fiia had said a little as had Uncle Thess, though this had happened before Uncle Thess was in the picture. A shifter named Jyn had stabbed her father after he'd taken something he wasn't supposed to. She was always surprised to hear a little bit about her parents like this and wondered how her father would have even trusted her mother to approach after such a thing. Her mom had always been good at her work, she knew that, but it was one of the defining features of her. She didn't really think much past that since she was always so busy. Maybe she'd been cute and charming, or maybe her father had needed a lot of help.

"How did you manage to get dad to talk with you after Jyn hurt him? If it were me I wouldn't have wanted to talk to someone who looked the same as the person who just stabbed me."

Eziya 6

Eziya laughed a little at that, reaching over to gently pet her daughter's hair. It hadn't been as difficult as she may have thought. They were both curious teens after all, very new to others and well Eziya had always been a talker. Serr on the other hand liked to listen and at the time she had interesting things as well. Serr was a good opposite to her and they had just meshed well even on their first meeting.

"Your father isn't one to judge like that. I know he was nervous at first though, but that's to be expected. I think I won him over with my fancy trinkets and winning personality though. We became quick friends."

Fiiadri 6

Fiiadri's brows furrowed as she thought of the interaction, what it would be like and how she would have handled it. Her parents were....odd. Trying to think of her mother especially as an adventuring rambunctious teen didn't sit right with the image she had of her now. Fiiadri knew it was her own fault for thinking that way, but how did she place her responsible mother where she should be. Both her parents had seemed more antsy lately, especially her mother, and she wondered if that adventuring spirit had never really left them and she was the problem thinking they were boring.

"Did you and dad travel a lot before us?" They hadn't really spoke much about it in passing and now she worried that maybe she was part of what made her mom....boring?

Eziya 7

"I...well yes we did. Traveling is something we both love to do." She wouldn't lie to either of her children when they asked. Even if it sounded not exactly great. To admit that the reason they were stationary now was because of the children was not wrong. It was the truth, but she didn't want either of them thinking they were at fault for their new situation. It had been good to raise the kids in one place for a while, and on top of that they'd all gained great friends out of it. She just knew that eventually the road would be their home again, both so they could see more and so the kids could feel they could also go off on their own.

Fiiadri 7

Fiiadri hadn't considered traveling much. Or at least she liked to thing she was comfortable with her family and the things they had. Now with her mom talking about the fun they had traveling when they were younger she too considered what it would be like to travel. Maybe she could meet interesting people? Or maybe even meet a boy? She shook her head at that thought. There was no reason for her to need to meet any boys.

"Traveling.....it sounds fun, but scary. You and dad like it though? You think Taarum and I could do it?" She'd never been without her brother before. She didn't think she would like being away from him too long. He was her stinky, her favorite brother after all.

Eziya 8

Eziya considered Fiiadri's question, softly humming as she continued to pet her daughter's hair. The kids were old enough to travel on their own, if they really wanted to. They hadn't had the conversation with either of them, but if there was something either of the kids wanted to do Eziya was always fully supportive of it. She knew Fiiadri had wanted to expand on her magical tricks, and maybe the way to do that was to travel more.

"Well dear, you are of the age where things like traveling and other things surrounding that are starting to be important. I think whatever you want to do is fine. If that's staying here with Fiia and Thess, then okay. If it's branching out to other areas that's also okay. We'll always find each other so I wouldn't worry about it."
