Byakko had been putting off her home world visit for quite some time now. With everything that was happening but she decided now was the time to visit it. At least before something happened and she wished she’d actually gone. What if they didn’t beat the Calamitous Hallow – the world eating serpent they’d discovered was wreaking havoc on the home worlds and earth.

The senshi of the west knew her sister had gone to her own wonder. Tea couldn’t stop talking about how lonely it was and how much work it needed and honestly, that alone had Byakko’s curiosity high. She’d found a nice quiet place to sit and teleport. One that when she came back, shouldn’t be disturbed either or at least less likely to be disturbed. The senshi concentrated on what she needed to find her way to her home world and soon enough – she was no longer in Destiny City.

Byakko looked around blinking, it looked as if she’d stepped into a jungle a vast expanse. But the dense foliage was hard to see through and she didn’t know quite where she was. Which was odd, she could feel the humidity in the air a stark difference from the night air she’d left. It was cool back on earth, even with the storms. It didn’t feel like the mugginess of summer or tropical storms. It did here.

“Ugh this is miserable.” Byakko muttered looking around trying to get her bearing which it didn’t take long she noticed something and headed towards what she thought looked like a cliff in the distance. It was odd to think there was a huge cliff not far from where she landed in the dense jungle but she could just make it out. There was something in the cliff as she drew nearer, she recognized what looked like buildings built into the side of it. Byakko was interested and she tilted her head softly, it looked like there was a wall made of stone and judging from the parts that were intact, the wall had to be at least two stories if not taller.

“I wonder why there was a wall here.” She saw parts of it crumbling away neglected through out time. It was almost sad the fact this had been left to rot here. For how long – no one knew. Byakko was looking for a spot to climb over or a door. Hopefully there was one or the other, as the she glanced up – she could see shapes of what she could only assume were houses built into the nooks and crannies of the cliff. “It must have been cooler to have built this inside the cliffs.” She said softly as she finally found a chunk of wall that was down enough, she could slip through.

Normally she’d plan to use the door but with how thick the jungle was and the state of the wall she wasn’t sure she needed to locate a door right off. She’d do that soon enough. “I guess I have my work cut out for me if I’m going to try and restore that.” She said softly looking at the hole she’d crawled through. She wasn’t sure how she would get that built back but she’d work on that later. If there was a later.

Turning her attention to the village and houses in the rocks she realized there was a small village in the outskirts and what looked like market streets. The senshi wondered curiously as she observed what was there, she noticed that some of the buildings looked more regal than others. Perhaps it was a ruled by some sort of emperor or empress? The buildings looked very much like they could’ve been a hodgepodge of eastern cultures with small influences from western bits. There were statues that looked like they depicted --- wind in the shape of a tiger. It was difficult to describe but it was there none the less and she was looking at it.

“I wonder if this was the animal of the village.” She paused something caught her eye and she moved over towards it. There was someone there? No that was impossible, Tea said the home worlds were abandoned and it sounded like all of them were.

There was some chatter as she looked around, the streets came alive with people walking by. They had unusual skin tones; it looked as if they donned stripes. They also had feline-like ears and tails – the tail though looked as if it split at the end. “Odd.” So, it wasn’t quite a tiger? She wasn’t sure what to make of this.

The past continued and she followed one induvial in particular because they had a hood on and was covering up who they were. It seemed very suspicious when no one else was covered head to toe. “Who are you?” She asked though she expected no answer. When they ducked into an alleyway and the figure uncovered their face, she realized it was her past self. “Woah!”

She was looking, the senshi of the past was male. He looked troubled. “I hope this is what I need.” The vision mentioned and Byakko tilted her head, in his hand there was a small scroll and a compass. Maybe there was treasure? But she wasn’t sure why he was hiding. He was the senshi for the home world. She looked confused and concerned.

Suddenly there was a shout “THERE HE IS!” guards appeared out of nowhere and ran towards the senshi. She watched as he panicked putting the items into his cloak and fleeing to the rooftop. She tried to follow but she lost the vision. The senshi of the west was looking around even more confused.

What was going on? She turned left and right looking around. “Weird.” Byakko took traveling the rooftops for a while, they were made of clay tile and while not all the roofs were intact it was a much easier means of travel and allowed her to see where she was headed. The senshi paused when she got to the part of the cliffs where the houses were built into it. She looked up, these looked much like an upper scale class of folks that lived in these instead of the ones in the village around her.

She decided she’d navigate those later. Choosing instead to land softly on the cobblestone streets below and explore those houses near the cliffs. “I wonder where the senshi lived.” She said softly picking a direction that felt – right. She started down a path slowly taking in the views and making notes of what all needed fixing. Suddenly she’d seen someone – or thought she had anyways - duck into another alleyway. She followed but no one was there. “Odd.”

She continued this path as it felt like something was leading her to somewhere. She came to a fork that had her pause and she decided to take one that lead towards the outside skirts of the village. The entrances to the houses were scattered her and there. They were all made of stone, wood and clay tile. The cobblestone was hot with the sun shining though it looked as if once these streets were covered with canopies. Long since gone and rotten. “I’ll need to see if I can find out what kind of canopies they had and string them back throughout the streets. I’m sure that’d make it feel much better here. The vendor stalls need fixing too. I wonder what kind of material those need.”

Byakko was talking to herself out loud as she walked through and suddenly, she thought she saw a shadow head into a nearby house. It was almost the last one on the block right before the outside row of houses. She headed inside looking around the little two-story house. It had no windows or doors, and looked as if the bottom was very open concept for what breeze there was to come though. There was an entry way and obviously you were expected to take your shoes off here, which she kicked the boots off that she wore thanks her to fuku before entering. Walking softly, she saw that while there was obvious decay in some things the furniture seemed mostly intact. There were pictures up in frames. A family was in one, the others held art. Some of them had art of the weird windy tigers. Others had pictures of her past life self. Some of them had him standing with random people, he didn’t look happy. Byakko frowned. “Why were you unhappy?” She said softly as she observed the photos. The kitchen looked like it could operate fairly easy and there was plumbing, if she had to guess it was set up on some sort of aqueduct system. She was impressed, she really didn’t expect this. The senshi headed upstairs and found a small study and two bedrooms. She moved to the study it looked like it was lived in the most. There she found some books that had been left scattered on the floor and papers piled onto the study’s table. She was flipping through the paperwork though she couldn’t read any of it. There was another frown.

She’d found a book though with illustrations. It seemed to detail the ranking of some important people, including the senshi. She was thankful it had pictures inside of the book with the writing. She couldn’t tell much beyond what ranks it looked like existed based on how the pictures were ordered. “Huh… he must’ve been for show or something.” Byakko mused taking now how far down the page he was. She picked up the book and looked at the time, “Oh… I guess I need to go back…” She didn’t realize she’d been exploring the home world for several hours at this point though she wasn’t sure if her senshi phone was still on earth time or if it’d changed to wonder time.

She took the book with her. She hoped, if she did that meant she could return it to her home world and this wouldn’t be the first and last time she’d be able to visit.
