Marine Life - To say that Nayda found herself quickly captivated by the oceans, lakes, and ponds of Earth, and everything thriving within them, would be an understatement. Not long after arriving on Earth, Nayda has a small excursion to an aquarium in Destiny City, and that is where it all begins. She could spend countless hours learning all she can about it - from micro-organisms, to great big whales, Earth's water is so full of life, and it is all amazing and beautiful and wonderous to her.

Hydroponics - Taken in by Earth's abundance of water, and with the thought of finding ways to help things back at home (while also searching for longer-term solutions to saving Valencia) in her mind, when Nayda stumbles upon hydroponics she dives head-first in to it, determined to find a way to improve upon it to the benefit of Valencia!

Mermaiding - Of course Nayda would also find all the folklore and fantastical stories connected to Earth's waters, too. And of course, she would find the concept of mermaids captivating! Nayda, being someone with an eye for beauty and deep pride in her own beauty, would find a new standard for herself. First she satisfies herself with learning to swim and imagination, but eventually she would find out about the wonderful innovation of swim tails. And she. Must. Have. One.


Virtues:

Demure - Nayda is quiet, although not in a shy way. She has the graceful and modest silence of someone who is always sincerely listening and attentive, speaking only when appropriate and when she has something meaningful to say. She is reserved with her opinions and views, choosing to hold them close to herself, while taking in what others say and display so she can better adapt to the vibe around her and maintain an amicable atmosphere.

Diligent - Nayda strives to exhibit earnest effort in accomplishing whatever she has undertaken, consistently putting in careful effort and staying focused, even when faced with challenges. She can be counted on to go all-in on a task, even when she finds it unappealing or would really rather be doing something else - seeing it through to the bitter end is the most important thing! Of course, she always aims for the best possible outcome and will do all she can, paying attention to even the most mundane details.

Flaws:

Vain - Nayda has always had great pride in her appearance, even though being beautiful seemed to hold little to no value in Valencian society, where brains and skill mattered first and foremost, and resources couldn't be wasted on such fleeting and pointless things as appearance. Still, Nayda does what she can to prioritize looking not just good, but beautiful. Dovetailing from that, she also cares how she appears socially. Yes, she's vain, takes great care of her physical appearance, but she would be aghast to be called out for appearing vain, or in any perceptively negative light, so she hides a lot about herself, doing her best to maintain the perception of being Valencian perfection. Anyone seeing or pointing out any cracks in that is just absolutely emotionally crippling and she will shut down and shut out - deny deny deny.

Hyper-independence - excessive reliance on oneself and a reluctance to seek support or assistance from others, even when needed. This can lead to isolation, burnout, and difficulty forming healthy relationships.


CIVILIAN GLAMOUR: PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION


Appearance: Eye color is the same pale cyan-mint, and hair the same dark blueberry-purple in long waves and sporting feathered bangs that frame her face, just as her true self does. Her skin is very pale, and her body type remains tall and hourglass shaped.

Clothes: Initially she sticks to very professional wear that gives of a 'secretary' vibe - button-up blouses and pencil skirts, or bodycon dresses that still maintain a professional flair. As she gets more comfortable on Earth, her fashion choices may relax a bit, but she always chooses to look very put-together and coordinated.

Appearance: Nayda has a tall hourglass figure, pale cyan-mint eyes, dark blueberry-purple hair that falls in long cascading waves and feathered bangs that frame her face, and cool lavender skin.

Weapon:

Cadet Weapon: A 'Tuning Fork' with lazer prongs that cause a tingling and numbing sensation for 15 seconds upon contact.

Corporal Weapon: Baton with Lazer Prongs - The tuning fork is bigger and more comparable to a baton. It can cause effects like that of a jellyfish sting - a sensation that typically causes pain, itching, and a rash for 15 seconds upon contact. (I chose these effects since Nayda's special interest is going to be marine life! So it makes sense that her weapon's effects would reflect that.)

Commander Weapon: Trident with lazer prongs - Effects of being hit with the trident are much the same as before, (intense pain and itching) but also accompanied by the possibility of the more serious effects of being hit with a jellyfish sting, such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, fever, chills, sweating and/or difficulty breathing, (based on target's player's own choice) for 20 seconds.

Backstory Being passed up for the initial mission to Earth may have been a blessing in disguise - Although Nayda had definitely wanted to go, she was not chosen then. Instead in that time she has shown herself to be exceptionally good at research and development, making up for her not being quite as good at combat, which would have been extremely detrimental then. However her diligent and mature nature has made her a considerable candidate for coming to help the mission on Earth now. Her combat skills are still not quite as good as they could be, but the pros of her mental abilities makes up for the con of her physical abilities, which will improve in time and with more actual combat experience.
