It had been quite a bit since she'd been to the seaside. Honestly, with how dry it was it was miracle that her mane has retained the luscious curls she'd so painstakingly grown out and styled! Surely Rhax would have something to say about it when she finally showed him! His little mane was always styled so nicely, even if it was a simple little mohawk.
Ah, her boo. A little seathi that thought she was going to laugh him off when he first flirted with her from the shallows. Little did either of them expect to be carrying on a relationship that was lasting this long, the both of them taking time in their respective environments to live their lives, but always meeting each other once again to be, as Deirdre's sister put it, be gross with each other.
She loved her short king so very much.
What she didn't love right now was the fact that it was cold and snowy and windy and her hooves were chilled and her breath was coming out in puffs and why was it so darn cold?! In fact, why was it even blizzarding?! Surely the turn of the seasons was supposed to be ending, why wasn't she just strolling down the path she knew took her to their lagoon and instead having to fight the blizzard around her!?
It was. So cold. And a big part of her worried that Rhax wasn't going to be able to enter the lagoon, it being iced over. Not that she thought he was weak, not by any means. No, no, her boo was fit for a seathi, and she wanted to make sure everyone knew that...but nature was dangerous. As strong as one could be, one's strength paled in comparison to that of the raw power of nature.
Take the blizzard for example. As a matter of fact, it was such a strong show of strength from nature, Deirdre found herself struggling to even find shelter. It was unprecedented, even if she should have noticed the clouds! But it was hard enough to see rainclouds....rainclods and snowclouds looked so similar to her! Wouldn't it bee nice if there were someone who could tell everyone what the weather was going to be every day so that she (and others undoubtedly like her who couldn't read the skies) could know what the weather was going to be? What a concept!
Then maybe she wouldn't be taking herself into a dramp, dreary old cave! It was cold! She hated it being cold! Not to mention the patch, usually clear, being so covered in snow hid some pebbles! Her poor carefully manicured hooves were now not perfectly manicured, she'd have to find the hoof stylist once she headed back!
With a sigh, she settled near the back of the cave. While she tended to play the ditz in her daily life, something that amused others as well as her beloved short king, she knew the basics. If she stayed near the mouth, it would be colder. Besides....Truth be told, the cold didn't bother her too much.
She'd just sleep through the blizzard.
Wake up.
Go find her boo.
Hopefully he wasn't a seathi-cicle!
