The arrival back in Destiny City was jarring to say the least, it left him reeling and stumbling, when he caught himself on a tree trunk the ashen blond took a moment to gather himself and sort through his thoughts. A lot had happened and he didn’t even know how much time had passed, it could have been an hour or it could have been days - he didn’t know. The weather was still unpleasant, alarming even now that he knew what it was connected to, and it had him drawing the spike he held close to his chest. This would protect this planet, he was certain of it, and nothing could happen to it. He’d need to keep it safe, and thus it went to subspace, as he was sure he was starting to feel paranoia creep in.
He was sure he was being watched, that someone knew what had happened, and with the spike in subspace it was safe in case he was attacked for it. Glancing about, he really must be getting paranoid after everything they’d seen, the blond pulled his tablet out and took note of the notices. He saw no sender but the pictures - he froze. Those pictures…who had sent them? Who had access to a tablet and could send these pictures without an ID attached to it?
Pulling his burner phone from subspace he wasn’t surprised to see text messages, a lot of them, and sent one off to Katya to let her know to cover his energy signature - he’d be teleporting home. He sent a message to Lorcan to let him know he was back and not hurt, so he didn’t need to worry but they did need to talk tomorrow evening. Sending those messages he took a moment to ponder things, while waiting to hear from Katya, he needed to talk to Aloysius and perhaps Jet as well. First Aloysius though, because he knew where he lived, and then they could report together to Lauralite about things. After that, after she decided what should be done, then he’d talk with most of his family if he could. Lorcan would hear from him tomorrow night either way, he knew he could trust his cousin, the man was good at keeping silent on things and keeping calm…he wouldn’t get worked up like Aberdeen might or Ophelia. He could talk to Gerard as well for that matter, he was calmer as well, he didn’t want to spook any of his family.
Sending a message to Rene, to let him know he was ok, he smiled when Katya’s message came in. That was all he needed before he teleported himself right into the front room, where people normally walked into the house, and powering down he crossed the distance between himself and Rene in no time flat and threw himself at the man.
“We have to talk…” He whispered into the others ear as he clung to him. “Espresso and we can talk in the second living room or the library.” One of the smaller rooms, one that was more private and personal, he wanted a comfortable room that felt more closed in. It still felt like something was watching, that something knew, and he didn’t like how off he felt. Pale eyes stared up at Rene as he drew back enough to lock eyes with his partner.
“Something big is coming…and I’m concerned. You can’t tell anyone what we talk about tonight, not until I’ve spoken to our Queen. I’m telling you because I love you, and I won’t keep any secrets.” Pressing a gentle kiss to the others lips he moved to press his forehead to Rene’s shoulder. “Espresso first though….I feel drained.” Not energy wise but emotionally, he’d ping ponged about with his emotions enough that he was feeling it.

With Katya letting him know Alexandre was coming, he made sure he was ready just in case he ended up calling Lorcan for first aid after all. They had different opinions on what okay meant and he knew that, but still he was relieved not to see blood or some sort of gash on them as they showed up.
Letting them cling, he held them titled as he rested his chin on their head for a moment even as they whispered to him. “Okay mon ange, the living room since it doesn’t have the large windows like the library.” They looked and sounded on edge, almost as much as they’d been when he’d been recovering from being starseeded and corrupted.
Hesitant in letting them move away, he didn’t like what they spoke of next. Secrets were one thing but if it meant having to deal with the Queen, then it was more than just cleaning up the mess of that alien and their museum.
“Please don’t say it’s space again.” That was all he managed for the moment before pulling them along to the kitchen and sitting them down at the island while he worked on their espresso. It was late for espresso but if they asked for it, he wasn’t going to deny them their drink. As things brewed, he kept an eye on them and saw how they seemed on edge even now that they were home.
“I won’t tell anyone, unless you need me to or unless you need someone to get you out of whatever is going on, be it me or Lorcan.” Because out of all the cousins, he’d found that the one with a stick up their a** was the most sane when it came to keeping safe and out of danger.
Adding the syrups to the bottom of the cup first, he then let the espresso drip and turned back to face his blonde angel once it was ready. “Here, have a sip then we can go to the living room.”

The living room was better, smaller than the one main living room, the smaller one was down a narrow hall in the back of the house. It was warm and decorated with heavy, solid, materials and with blankets and pillows filling the space, it was just what he needed. He knew it but he left the offer to Rene for the library, as that was his partners space and maybe even sanctuary, he was glad he’d thought about a library for them.
While he might have been seated by Rene that did not infact mean he remained seated. He hovered close to the other and even leaned into his side. “I wish I could refrain from speaking those words. But it might just mean space, I’m fairly certain I was in space tonight. I’ll tell you everything I know, what I make of it, and while I do not know what the plans will be.” He wouldn’t know until the Queen was spoken to, and decisions made, but he was certain space would be involved again.
“I’ll leave you to choose what you want to do. I won’t force you either way, but I also will be doing whatever must be done. I will keep myself safe, I want to come home to you and to this.” Sipping the espresso the other had made for him, sighing softly as the hot liquid filled him and warmed him so perfectly. Taking the others hand so they could head for the small living room. “I know I like having you involved in things as well, it means I do not need to keep secrets from you, but I am not going to make this choice for you. The choice will always be yours and I will always give you what information I can.” And he wouldn’t think less of him for not going, he understood, this wasn’t everyones cup of tea but at least Rene knew…and Rene was a corrupt senshi. Even if he wasn’t the most active he at least knew and understood..and he had magic - he was safe. Or at least safer. Shuffling along at the others side Alexandre had, at some point in the kitchen, toed off his shoes which he had forgotten to take off in his haste to jump the poor Frenchman.
Reaching the small room he took himself a seat and curled up on the couch as he drew his legs under himself. “I’ve seen and done a lot over all this time…great youma, nearly being killed by a prince, I’ve seen a general queen turn into a youma and try and kill us all. Aliens arriving and helping us, so they can save their own world, but this time I think it’s our world in danger by some…serpent.” Setting his cup down, now half empty, he shifted about till he was comfortable and held a hand out towards Rene and made a grabby hand motion towards him. He just wanted to curl into the others side and relax as he told him about things, and maybe even got his opinion, the man did a lot of reading and might have ideas he did not.

Sighing slightly, he nodded. “Of course, it’s not a normal storm. A magic storm…” Mumbling to himself more than to the other, it was serious enough to have the blonde on edge which wasn’t something he saw often. Letting them lean into him, he wrapped an arm over their shoulder to keep them close.
“I can’t jump into it like you do, for multiple reasons, but once you know more then I can figure something out.” If there was a better way to manage things, to keep off the front of a fight, that’s what he’d prefer if he needed to go make sure things worked out. It wasn’t something he liked, all that responsibility and orders and authority, but he had a good enough reason to attempt to keep a toe into it all.
Taking a seat next to Alexandre, he let them grab at him and get closer as he kept an arm draped over their shoulder. Everyone always said how scary, how bloodthirsty they were but he could never really see it, especially now. Even if the things they talked about were serious and honestly horrifying, he knew they weren’t immune to it all like some probably thought.
Running his hand over their side in a soothing motion, he leaned his head on theirs even if the mention of the world ending had him jolt slightly. “Quoi? Serpent?” It sounded big and honestly like something out of a fairytale or myth.
“Did you see it? Or is this just some sort of weird magic illusion?” It wasn’t any better but he could at least hope it was just a big random seasonal ******** or mass magical hysteria. But with how bad the storm seemed to be, he really didn’t like the odds of it just being something like that.

“Things in this city can never be normal, I wish they were, but until this war is over…I don’t think anything will ever be normal. I don’t think we’ll see the turning of a season without something magical happening, be it big or little or a trick or a treat. Something will always happen here.” It was simply how life was here, the sky was blue, the grass was green and this city was magical and not always in the best of ways. Most of the time it wasn’t in a good way to be honest.
“Sometimes I wonder why I’ve never run from this place, found another, safer, place where the war is over and we’ve won. I could retire from this all. But I can’t turn from what I know or from my family here.” Because family was important to him, it always had been, it had always given comfort and a sense of safety and belonging. It was what he’d sought for years when he’d had to distance himself from his family, so they’d be safe from this all. He needed someone to go to, to decompress, from the magic and the fighting. It was the balance he needed in order to go on and keep fighting, to keep being the scary general that order should fear and respect, but it was hard to not lose himself to it. Rene kept him in check and so did his family, as he’d fallen back in with them all.
A soft smile as he snuggled into the others hold, dragging a blanket off the back of the couch, and wrapped himself in it, as he gave a sort of shrug. “Yes and no. I don’t think we were in a tomb, though it bore a striking resemblance to one, but the pictures on the walls came to life. I didn’t see each one when it started to play but I did see each mural. It was a serpent, around a planet, it didn’t eat the planet but it drained the life from it before leaving to go out into space to hunt again. Others showed it being confined, chained and bound alive.” Trailing off for a moment, thinking of a good way to explain it for Rene. “Think of it like Fenrir…from the Norse legends - bound and waiting. It looks like one of the spikes holding it down is broken. If it gets out of its prison, wherever it is, I’m sure it’ll come for us.” Looking down at his lap he let his eyes close, taking comfort in the others' hold.
“I’ve heard that Metallia keeps this planet safe from things beyond us, things out in space, that are worse than anything found here. I wonder if this isn’t one of those things. Hope isn’t lost though…there were new spikes, unused, waiting in rooms. But where they go, how they’re used…” Another shrug, his hands left open in his lap to demonstrate the lack of knowledge on this. “We need to find the prison and deal with the serpent. I want it dead, if possible, so it’s never a threat again. If it gets free again there won’t be new spikes to reconfine it. There might not even be people able to do it again, if we can manage it now. But I have one of those spikes - I came home with it. It’s in subspace…safe. So I have to go..I can’t let it escape. But I wonder…is this like the serpent from Ragnarok? Is the world meant to end and if so is it to usher in a new world? A new start where the old, all of this, is forgotten like the silver millennium was? Like the first war, over a thousand years ago? Like some say things come in cycles on this planet…is this another one of those? Or is it all something else?”

“Of course… but I guess sometimes the magic isn’t all that bad.” Thinking of the rabbits or the colorful meteor showers, things that didn’t normally cause harm. Pulling them tighter to his side, he rubbed his cheek against the top of their head before pressing a kiss there.
“I know you can’t mon ange, all these other blondes of yours now know too and it’s important to keep them safe as well.” Adding more and more things to the pile of things to worry about but at least some of the other Evans family members were sensible and were old enough to maybe approach things with more caution.
It didn’t sound good if it was anything like the myth they described. And all the questions it brought up weren’t ones he could answer, not that he thought anyone right now could provide an answer either.
Feeling his phone buzz slightly in his pocket, he pulled it out but didn’t interrupt Alexandre at first. He saw the notification showing it was from Liam so he had an idea what it might be. “Does Aloyius have one as well? Please don’t tell me it’s just you.” Because that sounded not just risky but stupid.
“Liam wants to mirror walk over, do you want me to give them the go-ahead? I know there’s a lot of questions and I don’t know any answers but at least we can figure things out and… I might just have to bring my winged a** along to make sure my mighty angel comes back.” Teasing slightly before pulling their chin up to steal a kiss, he was more than alright keeping them close tonight if they were really this worried. If he knew more he might be as worried but ignorance really was bliss it seemed in this case.

He had pulled family members in, not that he’d planned to in any of the cases, but magic seemed to seek them out or other incidents, and he wouldn’t deny them the right to fight if they wanted to. He just needed to keep them close…to train them, to make them strong enough. It kept him here and grounded in ways he needed, and he knew it. “No, the magic isn’t all bad here but most of it is. But some of it…some of it isn’t bad.” Even when it caused Rene to fall in a rabbit hole and get hurt, where he had to help and take care of him.
“He doesn’t have a spike..but he was there as well. He knows I have a spike, he was in the room when I got it.” Because of course he’d gone for it first, without question or much thought, it was needed in order to seal this monster away again so he’d gone for it.
Looking at the phone in Rene’s hand he waited to find out who it was, because he knew Rene would tell him, and when the other did he nodded slowly. “Yeah…text Katya to cover their signature and once she responds, have them come in.” Because he would keep everyone safe, keep his home safe, even if the planet might not be safe this small place on this big planet would be safe; he’d make sure of it.
“You might need to…but only if you want to. I’m not going to force your winged self into this conflict. I’m going because I have to….not just because I have a spike but because I’ve always had to.” Because he’d always fought to protect this planet and his family, he’d never had a choice and never would. This was something long ago decided and he hadn’t turned away yet. Rene had the choice though, he was giving it to him.
“I just worry that this might be some end of the world scenario and we can’t escape it.” That it was indeed like a mythical end of the world scenario mixed with what had already happened a thousand years ago. “Even if it isn’t just like the myths it might still be the myth. Like how stories change over time…translation issues, writing and rewriting stories and pieces are lost each time. Depending on who wrote things down things are missing already.” So while it might not match a story in mythology it could very well be one such story. It might be a story in mythology here based on what happened elsewhere…a story brought here from there, by survivors. Explaining this to Rene the blond shifted till he was curled up right in the others lap, not really caring what Aloysius and Liam would see, he wasn’t comfortable right now and felt like he was being watched…or like he might be going a bit crazy. He suspected the crazy was from stress and all the ideas whirling about in his head right now, it was really too many things and bits and pieces from all over the place being cobbled together into theories and ideas on this all.

“Okay, so he knows at least which is something I guess.” That meant however many spikes or people weren’t something he knew. But as they confirmed what sounded like a meeting to go over things, he shot a text off to Katya first and then Liam once he’d gotten a response from the mauvian. She was probably in the library with the fireplace, where he’d left her earlier in the evening. It had become sort of a scheduled thing and he didn’t mind having her curled up on him or near him as they both read quietly.
“I don’t like the sound of the end of the world, it sounds too serious for my liking but… how do you say it,” he paused as he scratched at his head and thought about it, letting the other curl up in his lap more properly as he scrounged around for words. “Ah, it’s just what that spider one says right? Great power great responsibility?” Not that he had done anything since getting said power, other than popping out for quota as minimally as he could manage.
Holding them close again once they settled into their new spot, he could tell they weren’t doing alright. There was this palpable feeling of panic rolling off them and it made him uneasy as well. “Maybe if it is like the myths and something is translated wrong, it might be something to help?” Maybe the spikes or whatever could help keep people safe on top of doing whatever they were supposed to to stop things.
“They’ll be here soon, then I guess you need to talk about whatever plan? With Aloysius. Do you want me to pull Liam aside somewhere else?” Was this confidential or something that was Negaverse only? At least right now maybe but if it was as bad as it sounded he couldn’t imagine not reaching out to the mirror senshi in general to help aid agents and corrupts.

“Spider one…the spider god?” He questioned, why were they even bringing up a spider, of any sort, though how a spider god fit into this he wasn’t sure so maybe he was wrong? “What spider do you mean? I know we’re talking about deities and end of the world but…a spider god?” There was one of them, right? There had to be in some religion, an old one no doubt, but he couldn’t think of any. There was that story, from Greek mythology, about the first spider though it wasn’t the same thing. “But yes, the words seem right and I suppose they fit. But I wouldn’t jump into this without hearing everything from Aloysius and myself.” Because it wasn’t good to jump into things without proper information, even if there wasn’t a lot of that information.
“I’m hoping, I really am, and it seems spikes were used in the past and one is broken. So if we redo it..it should hold.” But for how long was the question, along with how to get it back under control so they could chain it down again. He’d rather just kill it, so it could never again be an issue. He supposed no one would have an answer till their Queen knew more and until they were in space, or wherever, and facing down the situation. There was only so much planning which could be done, information was limited after all.
“You get to stay if you want. If you’re going to be deciding if you join this mission or not you have a right to know what we know. I’ll leave Liam’s choice up to him and Aloysius, I won’t butt in more than I already have.” Confessing to having butted his nose into things earlier, up in space, he didn’t care. He was looking out for his fellow general and offering, what he thought, was sound advice. “I won’t keep secrets from you about what’s happened or what will when we meet with the Queen. Anything I say you keep secret though.” Something his family was good at and Rene would need to be good at as well.
When Liam finally did arrive, with Aloysius in his arms, the eternal took note of the entrance room they’d arrived in. The mirror he’d stepped out of, while keeping his partner held tight, was a tall enough for them to step out of comfortably and he assumed it was right near the front door to allow for a quick check of clothing before leaving for events - it made sense. The blond was the posh sort of person who liked to look put together, and he had good reason for that, and he was certain Rene used it the times he joined him at social events. It just made things easy for him though.
Glancing about, still in awe over this place, Liam’s blue eyes finally landed on Katya sitting a few feet away looking at them both. Powering down, rather than keep her occupied with covering his energy signature, he let Aloysius go so he could stand at his partner's side.
“Thank you for covering my signature.” Powering down, so she wouldn’t need to keep covering up his energy signature. “Aloy, do you want me to join you both or should I find Rene and do something else? I can also go home if you want and return when you’re ready?” He was giving him options, as many as he could, he would trust in his partner to choose whatever they were comfortable with. They’d tell him what he needed to know, or at least keep them safe when things went down, so did they want him here or think he needed to be here for this?

Staring at Alexandre, he burst out laughing. “The one from the movie, with the red and blue outfit… spider man?” Maybe it was because they’d gotten into things really young and hadn’t gone out for movies or things but still? Shaking his head he settled down again and held them.
“I’ll stay unless I need to go with Liam to keep him out of things.” He got the hint of an issue, some sort of disagreement between Aloysius and Alexandre over Liam’s involvement. It wasn’t a surprise, his blonde was very set in their ways but so was the tall Italian. Not a good combination when it came down to an argument, he’s seen more than enough of Italian tempers in his adventures sleeping across Europe.
Sighing softly as he pet their hair, he had a feeling he might have to mediate some sort of apology again. It was a running theme between the two generals but it wasn’t all that bad for him to manage. “At least I probably have more of a sway to smooth things over… probably because I gave much more important advice to them.” It was fun to have seen Liam so antsy and unsure but he would have paid good money to see the look on the normal so collected Italian’s face. It would have been priceless.
“As if I would tell anyone, you don’t need to worry about that. Lorcan would be about the only one but I know you’ve got him next on the list.” It was only slightly a surprise that the doctor wasn’t here for this meeting as well but he didn’t worry about it too much as he heard people shuffling and Katya down the hall.
—--------------
With Liam pulling him from the mirror, he hadn’t really bothered with appearance as much at this point. He’d left his tie and vest at the house, shedding layers to be a bit more comfortable if at all possible. At this point Alexandre knew of the scar on his throat so he didn’t bother with keeping his shirt buttoned up tight, opting to undo the ones where his tie had been to be less formal, even if he was still in dress pants and a button up. A dose of Advil had been taken to help with the headache yet it was no surprise to him that it hadn’t helped much at all. Not having to worry about contacts did make it slightly better at least, even if it took him a moment to get used to wearing his glasses again.
The interior wasn’t much of a surprise to him as they both stepped out to greet Katya, something in itself that made him smile a bit inside. None of the people in this house knew he and Liam had a mauvian as well, Desiree had done well with her little game and he found it delightful to have hold of that little secret.
Looking back over to Liam as he leaned into them slightly he took a moment to think. There were a lot of facts to go over, things he’d already categorized and sorted mentally but still needed to type up. But also Alexandre had made their point and he hated that as well. “I would recommend staying, if mainly due to the fact the earrings are up for today and my phone is still dead. As for the actual meeting… we will see what part Rene has in it and go from there. It might be best for you both to know in case something needs to be referred to outside of the reports.” Grumbling slightly, still not pleased over being pushed towards this outcome, he hurried along after Katya to head to whichever room this was meant to happen in.

Grateful for the dark mirror powering down, less work for her, Katya bobbed her head at the duo. “Follow me, they’re in the informal living room.” Which meant a deeper into the house and down a little, narrow, hallway that was dimly lit. It was a nice little room with just enough room for a small gathering of family. Leading the way the mauvian hadn’t heard yet what was going on, but clearly something was afoot, for Alexandre and Aloysius to go missing and now a late night meeting. She didn’t like the feeling at all but she knew it would be handled, in time anyway, she just needed to listen in and keep an eye on the family she plays guardian cat to.
“Oh.” Staring for a moment, embarrassed at not knowing, he shook his head. “Not my sort of movies…so I didn’t know that was a quote of his.” He wasn’t much for the super hero movies, though it seemed to be doing well in terms of revenue, he certainly had plenty of family members who were into the franchise and all that it offered up. “I might be good with conversation but not always when it comes to Aloysius, so you might indeed be needed, you’re skills are better than mine.” Especially when it came to the taller general. He knew he was a stubborn person and so was Aloysius…it was two walls slamming into each other with them, and he knew it.
“I’ll be on my best behavior though, so you don’t need to work too hard. This is too important for head butting anyway.” And he knew that, and Rene knew enough to know that as well, how much Liam knew…he didn’t have a clue.
Hearing foot steps heading there way, down the small hallway sounds echoed terribly, he didn’t move from Rene’s lap but he did sit up just a bit straighter as he spotted Liam first entering the room. “ Katya please stay, and Aloysius….” Trailing off as his eyes flickered to the blond, silently asking if he’d be staying or not. This was a conversation for Katya as well, he’d talk to Lorcan tonight and let him know. He’d also have to arrange a time to talk to Gerard. He wasn’t sure about Aberdeen, she still seemed so young to him despite her rank now. Ophelia he might tell as well, if only because she’d be very unhappy if he didn’t tell her.
“Aloysius, I’m not surprised by this meeting. I wish we were talking about better topics but tonight has been…an interesting night to say the least, a lot of information to pour over and yet not enough.” Motioning for the taller to make himself comfortable.
Well, someone seemed very comfortable, or two people really, to see the small blond situated in Rene’s lap like that…it certainly made him seem a lot less of a threat and a lot more human…maybe even soft? “We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t so important, it’s late and I’m certain we’re all tired.” He knew his partner was and the blond didn’t look too far off either. Looking at socked toes peeking out from under the blanket the blond really…if senshi and knights saw this they’d lose their fear of him for sure.
Watching as Katya went to make herself comfortable, by the small fireplace in the room, Liam could see how this was for intimate little gatherings and how comfortable it was. With no windows and somewhere in the middle of the large home. It felt secluded and safe…away from prying eyes and a secret…a place to whisper about things which wouldn’t leave this space. It fit the blond so well…

“It’s alright, you can’t know everything it seems,” he chuckled while settling in. At least now they admitted to butting heads with the other which, in his opinion, was progress. Just a room full of stubborn people when they came over and tonight was no different. He could tell when the pair came in that some words had been had between the other blonde and brown-haired male. That nasty scar on their throat was visible and he still found it hard to look at, focusing instead on Liam as he spoke.
“I’d offer a drink for you both but maybe afterward?” Joking slightly as he was quite willing trapped where he was sitting. It wasn’t something he minded and if anything it helped Alexandre because they were obviously not well off right now and he wanted to try and ease them if he could.
—------------------------------
Seeing the blonde on the Frenchman had him thinking of how much it was like a tiger sitting on them. He’d been in that position before while they’d tried jarring him out of the panic over his sister, something that hadn’t been a pleasant experience over all for a variety of reasons. It had given him ideas for things with Liam recently but for now, he looked at the couch opposite the others, across the coffee table.
Pulling Liam with him, he didn’t like the idea of letting go of them but it wasn’t as obvious as the scene across the table. “A lot of information indeed but something first, before all that and for everyone here to know.” Straightening as he spoke, similar to how he was during lectures or lessons, he flicked his eyes over everyone before continuing. “Captain is not just a nickname I used there, I have an item to keep my signature smothered. For all intents and purposes, refer to me as that rank in front of order. The less they know that is accurate, the better. I laid low long enough that it should be easy enough to keep that facade going.” Pointedly narrowing his eyes at the blonde, who he knew was known among far too many people on every side, he squeezed Liam’s hand just slightly.
“Now where to begin? The spike or the rooms? I have the workings of a report ready from the notes I managed on paper at the scene.” Though the illustrations weren’t needed as he’d gotten the images via his tablet.

He may not know everything, he may never, but that didn’t mean it didn’t bother him - it did. He’d rather know as much as he could, this was a war after all, information could save lives and in this case it could save a whole lot more. Pitching forward, reaching for his cup, he finished off his espresso as he watched Aloysius, and Liam, seat themselves. It looked like Aloysius was taking his advice, at least part of it, that was good. He didn’t want the other to make the same mistakes he had…and lose something precious, he could see how much the blond meant to him.
“I had a feeling there was a reason you used that nickname, I ‘m surprised no one on the other side knows your true rank. But I’ll keep your secret.” It was, for himself, impossible to play down his rank - too many knew him. “An item like that is of great value, I’m glad you have it, it’s useful and it’ll keep you safe.” Because he did want the other general safe, he did care for him, he was one of those who Benitoite had known for a long time…and he was still here. So many had come and gone…Fluorite, her brother, Obsidian, so many had vanished for one reason or another. Chalcanthite had remained and he knew he could trust in the other. He wasn’t so sure of some others, especially those he didn’t know well.
“I think we should start at the beginning…to murals and what they showed us. Then we get into the room deciding it no longer wants our occupancy and the spike comes last. After that we can bounce ideas around, though I still think the same as I did there.” He still thought it was some mythical end of the world story come to life, again perhaps.
Seating himself next to Aloysius the blond was quick in drawing the other as close to his side as possible, before deciding to shift about so he could sit comfortably in the corner spot on the couch, relaxing back into the area, he drew his partner into him as close as he could and held onto them .”You two talk, let us know what you can, we’ll all discuss afterwards. I’m curious.” And he was worried, especially seeing the small general so cuddled up in their partners lap, they just seemed…off a bit.
Aloysius seemed in need of some comfort as well, they had since they’d gotten home, and he would give it while letting everyone think it was him needing the comfort due to worry over this unknown situation. He was, for now, ignoring the item his partner mentioned having. He could use its usefulness, how could he not? But he also was glad they were using it to keep themselves safe. Maybe mirrorspace would spit one out for him?

At first, he stayed sitting up straight and properly, much as he would having a formal meeting or lecture. But at Liam’s gently tugging and shuffling, he made a little grumble and settled in closer as he listened.
“Alright, when I touched the mural on the wall I was near, energy gathered at my fingers. It was like when we drain except it pooled into what felt like concentrated energy. It was passively gathering and when I pulled it away, it remained instead of dispersing. I threw it over towards Jet to help with that dark spot but I was unable to see the effect giving the storm and how it threw us.” Reaching for his ribs, they still ached where he’d been slammed between the blonde and the door.
“The wall was pulsing, there was some sort of tone the whole time that I could feel and hear when the others were quiet. I might have gotten more out of it if not for how childish they were all acting.” It wasn’t a good look in his opinion, and it rubbed him the wrong way even now.
“I find it surprising Aquamarine saw something different after my interaction with the wall, perhaps that was due to the energy I pulled from it but Laurelite and Metallia may know more.” Keeping focused as he spoke, he had some working theories already but needed to find out more in order to solidify anything.

“Concentrated energy….I never thought we collected anything but energy. But if you’re saying it was concentrated then what do we gather? Is it weaker or less…pure? If that’s the case then what else are we gathering?” That was an odd thing to think of, because there shouldn’t be anything else - right? Leaning back into Rene, getting comfortable, he let his head tilt to the side and kept his eyes on the other two as he thought about that for a moment longer. How very interesting, it might be something worth looking into?
“Perhaps it’s something we can look into, out of curiosity, an aside. If we can get back up there I’d like to experience that as well…to compare the feeling of that energy versus what we normally gather and its feel.” They were going to have to get back up there, and rather soon, but would there be time to try and gather energy from the mural as well? He’d like to have a try at it but he doubted he’d get a chance, they’d likely be too busy for it.
“I was a part of that, and I do apologize for my own behavior earlier. But I’m also assuming you saw what I did and might just agree with what I said earlier.” Aloysius was practical and had to have seen the idea of waiting for translations, when in a situation that could have gone any number of ways, as not being an ideal way of going about things. But also had he noticed how close that white moon senshi, who had once been a dark mirror, was to their general king? It didn’t feel right to him…he didn’t like it. Aloysius had lived in the same social circles he did, even if he avoided them now, so he had to understand how easily people could betray each other just to get ahead or get something they needed. How easy for that senshi to betray their general king, and the negaverse, seeing as they’d already done it once before. All they’d need was someone to keep them safe…someone to give them something, power perhaps, and they’d do it. How could you trust someone like that?
“The mural I saw showed a serpent surrounding a planet..and slowly it drained the life from it. The planet grew barren and vacant and died before the serpent let its tail go from its mouth and took off into space - to hunt anew. I’m going to assume it was caught, at some point and by some means, and imprisoned.”
Having Aloysius leaning against him, he’d rather the other be laying against him, Liam knew the other was suffering a headache and was tired. What he didn’t know was that Aloysius was injured…until he felt them shifting and saw them covering their side. “Aloy?” Whispering the others name, leaning in close to whisper. “You’re hurt.” And he shouldn’t be here, even though he did understand why.
“How about we wrap this up so you can get some rest.” Because although he had listened to what they’d both said, and he was certain there was more for both of them to discuss, he didn’t want his fiance suffering more than he already was. “You can fill me in on things properly tomorrow…and we can rehash this meeting if you want - when you aren’t hurting.” He kept his voice low, though he was certain the mauvian in the room could hear him, he didn’t like cutting this talk short and that’s why he was hinting at just a reschedule of it…rather than just not talking about things at all.
