Kioshi had rolled himself out of bed and stretched. Kioshi wandered to the bathroom in order to grab a shower. Lorcan could, and really should, sleep a bit more even though it was a Friday and he’d need to be up soon enough for work. The least Kioshi could do was keep from waking him now, let him sleep, and once he’d finished his shower and dressed he could make something for breakfast. Omen was…somewhere in the house, he hadn’t seen the large cat yet, he was certain he would soon enough though.
Closing the door, as silently as he could, Kioshi stripped down and after handling other morning business he went to turning the shower on and stepping in so he could clean himself up. The water was on the cooler side, perfect for him, as he leaned into the cool water and relaxed under its stream. Some moments later and he was moving to wash himself up, washing his hair as well, he’d brought his own products over the evening before. The smell sweet smell of almond, something floral, and earthy filled the bathroom as he washed up.
By the time he stepped out, a towel about his waist and toweling his hair dry, Kioshi wandered his way towards the kitchen to boil some water for tea. His own cup, one he’d bought off of etsy, was set onto a little coaster while he went about prepping things and setting the water to boil. “Omen, breakfast.” He called out softly, not wanting to wake his partner yet, as he wondered where Omen was and why the black cat hadn’t woken him up demanding breakfast yet..it was unusual for the usually prompt cat. But perhaps the change in homes had thrown him off?

Things were… different. Looking around as he swished his tail across the hardwood floor of the living room. It was breakfast time soon but the change had left him a bit at a loss. Circling the couch for a moment, he inspected it before walking down the hall. His paws made soft little thuds as he trotted towards the open bedroom door. He’d heard a familiar voice coming from the kitchen though and he turned to go that way instead.
Looking up at Kioshi, he went to demand his usual breakfast but this time, instead of a disgruntled meow, a voice came instead. “Feed me.” Blinking as he curled his tail around his paws, the large maine coon looked up at Kioshi as if nothing had really changed.

Hearing the soft thuds from Omens paws the grey eyed male smiled, he was glad he could share some time with his beloved cat and the man who had become so close to him so quickly. Turning towards the kitchen doorway he was expecting the demanding news of from hungry cat, because it was later than usual for him to be up and demanding food from Kioshi.
What he wasn’t expecting were words, actual words. “O-Omen.” Staring at the cat he blinked twice, eyes moving up to the cats forehead and he stared. “Oh. s**t.” This was not good. Being a mauvian was good but order, he was certain of it, all mauvian started off as order. “Omen, you know about me…and Lorcan and youre - you’re on the other side.”

Tilting his head as he twitched his ear, Omen was a bit confused as to why they weren’t feeding him. The rest of what they said went in one ear and out the other as he circled their feet and threw his side into their shin. “Breakfast time.” Stretching out for a moment as he spoke before settling down on their feet. The glare he was giving them had nothing to do with whatever had them worried because the only thing that mattered right now was that it was food time even if they weren’t at his normal home.
“Do I need to get the other one to feed me?” Staring up at Kioshi as he huffed and puffed himself up. Was it really so hard to give him breakfast since they were here and not home?

Startled, and rather unamused by the blase manner of which Omen was treating things, the dark haired male bent down and poked the large cat in the forehead. “Do you understand what’s going on, Omen?” Questing the cat turned mauvian. “You aren’t just a normal cat any more, something caused you to awaken as a mauvian.”
“I’ll get you food but we need to talk. You’re now a danger to me and I am to you, in theory, because you are white moon.” Seeing as he’d never harm the cat, after all he’d saved him from the streets where he’d been starving at six weeks old, they were both safe from each other. But something had to happen here, things could not remain as they were, and Omen couldn’t just leave in order to serve order. He knew too much, he knew about him and Lorcan serving the Negaverse. “You’ve seen me powered up and you know about Lorcan as well.” Because this was a huge issue and it needed solving, but it seemed Omen didn’t agree, so Kioshi stood up and after rescuing his feet from the other he went to grab the cat food bowl and tin can of food. He did hope mauvians liked cat food, because if he didn’t like it Kioshi wasn’t sure what he’d do.
“Also the other one, as you called him, is sleeping. He has work and needs his sleep.”

Another slow blink as he followed them. It was still new to him and he didn’t see the issue, not really anyway. “The only danger is if you forget to feed me but at least I can bother the other one too now so I have more options to make sure I get breakfast, lunch, and dinner.” The tin was the high-end food, the one that was more fish than what one would consider catfood and he enjoyed it.
Busy eating his fill, Omen’s tail swished over the floor as he sat there. Sleep would happen after breakfast, or at least after breakfast, and the talk they wanted to have. Pausing to look up from his food, he slowly blinked at Kioshi again. “Another danger would be if you got snot all in my fur again without brushing me out properly after.” A huff as he let his complaint out before going back to eating.

“Omen, that is not the only danger.” With Omen now fed, the bowl on the floor and his face plunked into it, Kioshi did the only thing he figured he could to get the others attention. Padding out of the room, back to the bedroom, he managed to find his rumpled pants and pulled something from the pocket. He always kept it in his pocket, because he wasn’t going to be caught without it, and headed back into the kitchen.
“I don’t plan on ruining your fur again, not like that night.” He stated with a roll of his grey eyes. He had no reason to, at least no reason he could foresee, as he powered up. Omen would sense it, he was certain of it, and maybe this would bring some sense of urgency to the mauvian. “Now, do you feel this - me.” Because he needed to and he was certain his aura, the chaos he emitted, had to feel bad to Omen. “We need to fix this. You can’t know about me, yet you do, and we are on opposite sides of this war.” And were Omen not a mauvian, not his cat, and rather a friend who was a knight or a senshi he would have simply killed them. Omen was neither of those - Omen was his cat…his comfort and his pet. Omen could be saved, even if he knew it would hurt, but something had to be done and sooner rather than later. “I don’t even know if you can cover my energy signature like this.” As he served order.

He’d been focused on breakfast at first until an odd sensation hit him and caused his fur to prickle up, making his tail poof up as well. It wasn’t like something had actively spooked him but still it didn’t feel right and had him looking up from the nearly empty bowl.
Standing there was a different person, not Kioshi, and it confused him as he watched. They didn’t feel the same but the topic of the conversation seemed similar to before. Backing up slowly as he puffed up. “Who are you? Where’s Kioshi?” Looking around he was confused and dashed down the hall, making a racket as his paws skidded across the hardwood floor. What was a war? It didn’t sound good and he wanted to see if Kioshi was in the room with Lorcan.
Hopping up on the bed, the other human was sleeping still so he pawed at their face.
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lorcan had been asleep, always sleeping deeply when Kioshi was over, and didn’t notice the racket at first until a paw brushed his nose. Stirring slightly he brushed his hand across his nose out of habit before realizing Omen was still there. “Oh… it’s breakfast time, isn’t it?” Sitting up and stretching slowly, he was a bit surprised that Kioshi wasn’t in there since he didn’t hear the shower running. Looking at the clock, it was an hour before he needed to wake up but that wasn’t so bad at least.

“Damn it.” Cursing as he turned and headed down the hall after the large mauvian. “Omen, do not wake him up.” Trying to not go for commanding, though still wanting to make sure he got the order, he wasn’t surprised when he heard Lorcan’s voice. “Lorcan, get a hold of Omen and don’t let him escape. We need to talk and it’s obvious he doesn’t get what’s going on.” Calling from down the hall, before appearing in the door way moments later. Powering down as he stepped into the bedroom.
“I had hoped he’d get the hint but he doesn’t.” And at least there were no energy signatures around to pick up on his, he was lucky, because it seemed Omen didn’t get things. Didn’t mauvians just…know what to do and what was going on? He supposed not.
“Omen, we need to talk…it seems I assumed too much of a mauvian.” Not to be insulting but it seemed to be true. Coming to sit on the bed, close to Lorcan, he did turn to press a kiss to his cheek. “I was trying not to wake you, you had a long night and could use the sleep.” A look sent to Omen as he spoke, before reaching out to pet the large cat. “We need to figure out what we’re going to do, Omen.”

He didn’t quite register things in the room's darkness, especially when the mention of a Mauvian came up. Reaching to pet Omen, his thumb brushed against their forehead and he felt what must have been a small star. So that was why he hadn’t sneezed with the cat pawing at his face this time. “Maybe because he’s a kitten still?” Smoothing his hand over the mauvian’s fur with a bit more enthusiasm than he’d had before now that they wouldn’t cause hives on his skin.
Looking down at Omen, he could tell that the fact Kioshi had been powered up had startled them but they didn’t understand why other than their owner had disappeared and a stranger had been there. “If Omen wants to stay I would say the options are limited to just one.” At least from what he knew having talked with Katya over the time since he’d been brought in by his cousin.
“It shouldn’t be hard to handle and I’m sure that there are openings for a few more after the success of that club.” Returning the kiss to the other’s cheek, he kept trying to soothe Omen.
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Keeping close to Lorcan, he was glad when Kioshi showed back up. It was odd how they were talking about him but he felt better with them both petting him. “Of course I’m staying, here or at the other place.” Settling down into the blankets, he trilled and purred as Kioshi started petting him as well.
It wasn’t as scary now that things seemed to have settled down but he wasn’t exactly sure what they both meant about options and doing things. As long as that odd feeling didn’t come back he was content with both of them feeding and caring for him. It was home here so he wasn’t inclined to have that change.
Thumping his head into Lorcan’s hand, he was glad the light-haired man was calm while Kioshi sounded upset. It was like something was wrong but he didn’t get it yet, even if he was certain a bit of what they said should insult him. His priorities were just different than theres and he didn’t see the issue with it.

“Ok, let’s start with the basics.” Taking a deep breath, because he knew he wasn’t his usual calm and collected self, he settled in to try and sort this out and solve the issue. Lorcan was right, there really was only one way to handle this issue. But it seemed they first needed to explain things to Omen, who seemed content to lay on the bed and soak up all the attention he could. Reaching for his cell phone he laid it down in front of his cat, wanting to see if he did anything with it.
“Do you know you aren’t a normal cat anymore Omen? That you are an alien cat - a mauvian? Or should I explain what a mauvian is first?” Wanting to know where he’d need to start off with things, how much he needed to explain.
“There is a long standing war in this city, a magical war.” Giving his partner a look, knowing his opinion in magic, he did find it amusing that one who disliked magic and called senshi witches was in fact dating a senshi. “Order, or the white moon, versus chaos…or you can call it the negaverse. All cats who become mauvian start on the side of the white moon. Lorcan and myself both serve the negaverse. That causes a rather large issue here. It’s a conflict of interests and a danger to all three of us.”

Blinking slowly at Kioshi, some of it made sense. “Mauvian, I think yes.” But he didn’t really get how that was important until they started talking about war again. He would have brought up that opinion of how it didn’t seem like a big deal but the mention of being on opposite sides didn’t sit well with him. It made him uncertain and he curled into Lorcan more at first for a moment. Even if he had been mentioned as being on the other side as well, he wasn’t saying upsetting things.
One thing did stand out though, if there were sides that meant someone could switch right? And since the odds were two to one then it made sense if he switched. “Then how do I join this… negaverse thing? Does that mean you’ll start giving me nicer food?” Thinking that it might lead to nicer things since he was getting bigger and wanted more than just what he’d been getting before now.
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lorcan was confused, though not as much as Kioshi, since he’d accepted aliens more than magic when it came down to things. It was much more agreeable to him since the beginning than talks of a magical war had been.
Giving a look to Kioshi, he nodded. “Of course, what kind of food would you like Omen? I’m sure we can find something nice for you.” Petting the mauvian a bit more as they kept close to him, he was a bit surprised by the sudden turn of things given they were Kioshi’s cat before this started. Maybe it was because of all the seriousness and new information overwhelming them. The rest of how this would play up would be up to Kioshi and Omen but he would do his best to moderate both as they seemed to be very fueled by emotions right now.

“You can join, but it does hurt and it does have a price with it. For those of us who start this mess on the other side, and then decide to join the Negaverse, we need a general king or queen to bring us over. This is at the cost of our memories, sometimes a little…sometimes a lot.” Like himself, he’d lost all his civilian memories from before he’d corrupted, he had needed to start his life from scratch and that had not been easy. He was lucky though, as he knew others weren’t so lucky. “There is no telling what memories will be lost or how much, it might just wipe out the memories of this…since you woke up this morning.” Which would, in his opinion, be the best outcome for them all.
The idea of losing his cat, of losing Omen, and them forgetting them had him blinking as he tried to focus on looking upward towards the ceiling. He would not get emotional, because he couldn’t afford it, but it was there and the emotions were hard to ignore. It was Omen who had brought up the time he’d cried on them, and got their fur all messy, and he would rather they not forget it…even if they might hang that over his head somehow. “Yes, nicer food.” Nodding his head as he looked down at the large cat cuddled up to his partner. Running his hand over the mauvians’ jar and went to pet under his chin.
“I can power up again, I know you don’t seem to like the energy signature I give off, and summon a general king to help. We’ll both be here with you.” There wasn’t any chance in hell he’d be leaving Omen to be corrupted, he’d stay with his four legged companion.

Watching Kioshi, he held a hand up to have them pause. “I really think we should go somewhere else to bring a sovereign in. I want to keep my place a neutral space considering I do have patients and we never know who someone is outside of their civilian life.” He knew it might be a risk, something he’d never had to consider before, but taking precautions happened no matter what so it was good to continue things like that now.
“He also might not lose anything, but I’d have to ask Katya and Alexandre on that front.” Trying to offer more advice since so far it seemed like this was all new to Kioshi.
“Either way we will both be here Omen, then we can get something nice for lunch.” Patting the mauvian reassuringly before stretching a bit. He’d need to get up and dressed to handle this and send a message that he would have to adjust his schedule for the day to handle a family emergency. It was something that came up, rare as it was, but Judith and his patients knew it was a possibility. —----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The fact it would hurt didn’t sound great but the hint that he couldn’t stay here or something might happen if he didn’t settle with him. It seemed like Kioshi was upset over things too even if he didn’t understand it all.
The chin scratches had him purring and he figured they’d take just as good of care of them as they usually did even if something had changed. More than anything he was motivated by the idea of nicer food. Not that the food he was used to was bad but the opportunity for better was a good one.
“Okay then we should hurry so lunchtime can happen.”

“That is true, if he loses the mauvian memories he’d lose nearly nothing.” Which would be the best for them all, because the idea of omen forgetting everything else hurt too much. “We? You’re going to push things back so you’re around for lunch?” Or was Lorcan going to go to work and then meet them for lunch? Either way he did agree about treating Omen to a good lunch, of the others choice.
Laughing he stood slowly. “Of course, always food motivated.” Shaking his head as he held a hand out to Lorcan. “Why don’t you shower and dress. I’ll handle breakfast and I guess I’ll cancel the order I had from Chewy. I won’t be needing the food or the toys I ordered.” Already the Christmas toys were out to purchase and he had ordered them - a lot of them. His apartment was littered with catnip toys and jingle balls, including a reindeer type bell, which were all Omen’s. He’d just wind up spending more money on actual food for Omen, it was good the negaverse paid him, he just hoped the other wouldn’t have strange or disgusting taste in food.
“We can head out to a place far enough from here that we’ll be safe when we power up and call for some help.”
