After things had been resolved with Villon not wanting to hurt Chaldene, Erinome felt a bit better about wandering around. He still checked the clearing but afterward, he decided to wander and look around more. The green space was large of course but it was also nearby an area full of clear boxes with lights that held what looked like packets of food.
It was like what they had in the grocery store but he wasn't sure how to get things out of the clear boxes. Staring at the blinking lights, he was transfixed by it and didn't even notice another order signature coming from nearby. At least he had some of the green paper on him that Chaldene had said was this world's currency but otherwise, he wasn't sure what to do.

Novella had been wandering the city, powered up yet again, his hands stuffed into his pockets while he wandered. He was trying to get thigns sorted out in his head, to understand this whole magic thing, without the help of others. He was certain he could get help...very certain in fact. He didn't want help though. He didn't want anyone getting close, close meant finding out things about him and becoming friends and other thigns - all things he didn't want.
But he knew he could feel people, people like himself and people like the one who grabbed him, and he could feel someone like himsel fbut...more? Just more - they were easier to feel and felt larger than hismelf. Shaking his head mentally the page headed towards that feeling, getting a bit turned around in the process, he finally found someone who stood out for sure.
And he stood there, not too far away, just watching and observing them. How interesting they looked.

Touching the glass of the humming machine, he could see something was scrolling on the digital screen but it was hard for him to read with it moving. His antennae twitched curiously as he tried to figure things out, at least until that blip of order was now closer.
Turning to look towards where it came from, he could tell they were looking at him but it wasn't like Julienne had been all accusatory-like. "H-hello?" Chirping up softly as he looked at the much taller human. So many of them were taller and while he was used to it, he still wasn't sure how he felt about it.
His hand felt the machine pick up in activity, the glass seeming to chill beneath his fingers and a shiver went from his toes all the way up through his antennae. "How to work?"

Stepping closer the page stared down at the other for a moment before looking over the vending machine. "How does it work...." Were they a child? They didn't quite look it...but maybe? Age was at times hard to tell when looking at someone. But most children knew how to use one.
"You've never used one?" Looking from the machine to the person, the senshi, and back once more. "You need to know what you want first." He still was a bit surprised he was helping someone with a vending machine but here he was. "How do you not know how to use one..." It wasn't a question but rather a statement really.

Scrunching up his face, he felt bad only for a moment about not knowing how the thing worked. "No..." Turning back to look over the packages inside, he pointed at the one that had pictures of fruit on it, he could tell it said fruit on it as well but the second word starting with an s was beyond him so far.
Pointing through the glass at it, he held the money in his hand and looked at the machine again in confusion. "Machine... not back home." Offering the reason, albeit in a less than clear way as usual in his speech.
"Help?" Nodding for a moment as he offered the bills and looked over the other human. They didn't look like a senshi so he was confused. "Senshi? No?" Tilting his head curiously from side to side as he pondered things, were they like they lovely person with the yummy plant staff he'd been able to nibble on.

"Not back home..." Trailing off he stepped closer and went to help the other, guiding the others hand, as he walked and talked him through how to use a vending machine. "Is here isn't home - where is?" They didn't look normal but he assumed it was just like what he wore - a costume.
"No...a knight." Minus the white horse and all that, no princess to save or any of that bull s**t nonsense. He was still a knight though, odd as it was to say that aloud. He didn't know much about it though, he was till working on that, but he was getting there as time went on.
"Think you could use this machine on your own next time?" He questioned the other as he bent to get their snack as the machine spit it out of the coils holding it in place. When it fell down, with a light bang against the metal door it landed in, Novella handed it up to the other fro mwhere he was bent. "You should try here and there, with help."

Watching intently, he noticed the symbols on the buttons matched the ones on the small stickers below the packages of food. So they must be related! It delighted him and he was glad for the help, accepting the back of fruit-like snacks and opening it quickly. They didn't smell exactly like fruit but he knew now that things could be fruit while not being fruit. It was a complicated sort of thing that humans did to have things that tasted like fruit without them spoiling too fast.
Pointing up at the stars, he nodded. "Erinome, my home. Oh, me too!" Since that was what he went by as the senshi of his homeworld. But when they mentioned being a knight, he still didn't quite know what it meant. He hadn't really gotten to talk to the flowery one about it, only about the moths that seemed to unsettle the humans here.
"Yes, thank you." Stringing together the sentence he heard often, almost well enough that it didn't have that disjointed cadence to it like the rest. "Knight from here?" Trying to confirm just in case since he figured it was something he needed to know.

"I..don't know where from." Nor did he really care, he knew what he was and he knew it came with a place in space where he could get lost and he'd been there once even. He hadn't seen much but it had been enough, enough to know he had a lot of work to do and he needed to plan it all out. He wasn't going to go in blind and without what he'd need in order to start cleaning, and repairing, things. He would have a plan to repair this place so he could work there on his projects, so he could build and store his little masterpieces there.
"Don't care where from. I live here." So what planet he went up to didn't matter, he stil lwas stuck living here. From what he'd been able to tell there was no way he could live there - in sapce. Much as he wanted to, to escape from it all, he couldn't but the idea was a pleasing one for oh so many reasons.
"You can call me...well...it's long. Novella for short works."

Well, that was odd that they didn't know where from. Even if he didn't know Earth very well he still knew the place he was tied to. But they didn't seem to care which had his antennae jitter slightly as a small jump went through him.
He couldn't quite understand it all but then again he did want to go home where he was from so if they were born here then it would make sense they wanted to stay here, much like Chaldene didn't really like space or anything all magical. Erinome knew they only did those things because of him and at times it made him feel bad.
"Novella... like tome!" That was a type he'd seen Chaldene with he was certain of but he found it odd it was a person's name as well. "Thank you." Again he responded before popping a few of the fruit-flavoured jelly things into his mouth. He knew it was rude to talk with your mouth open so he just munched quietly as he considered what to say to this human. It really wasn't his strong point after all.

"Tome...like large books?" Ok, so this one said their name was Erinome, and so was there home. So not from here, though how that awas possible he wasn't entierly certain. He did believe in aliens, the odds were simply unavoidable, but was that what they were saying when they ssaid that whilst pointing towards the sky...to space? It had to be and so this was an alien...it made sense why they were puzzled with the vending machine as well...and comparing Novella to a tome.
"I suppose a novella is like a tome but shorter - a lot shorter."
Watching them eat he did wonder if he shouldn't escort them home, to keep them safe, he didn't much care but this one seemed the sort to make for an easy target for anyone and everyone.
"I'll walk you home, it's not safe." And being a person who knew what being abused was like he didn't think this one here could handle being hurt too much, if at all, so someone should keep them safe till they got home.

"Yes!" Nodding enthusiastically that they understood him and his less-than-modern choice for some words.
Listening to the difference between a tome and a novella, he would try to remember that or at least ask Chaldene when he got home. Part of him wasn't sure if they'd appreciate a new person at the property but at least they weren't nasty feeling like the ones he'd met before.
"Not far okay?" So now that he had his snack and apparently a bodyguard he wandered slowly back toward the home he lived at with Chaldene, only waving them off when he thought they were close enough to the property line that he didn't need to worry.
