Powering up wasn’t really his thing, he didn’t see much of a point in it, he didn’t care about this knight thing especially after what had recently happened. However he did remember the whole space thing, and being told a bit more about it, that interested him. The fighting and all could go burn for all he cared but a safe place..somewhere tucked away in space where no one else could reach him - that appealed to him. If he could get there and see it, see what state it was in, he could work on it and see if he couldn’t stay there for periods of time. He knew he had to continue, and finish, school and that wasn’t an issue for him. But if he could spend school holidays up in space away from his family? That was what he wanted.
That was why he was powered up tonight, to try and figure out this whole space travel thing, he needed to make this work so he could get out of here and work to establish something for himself. He could even hide things there, like finished projects, things he didn’t want taken or broken. A safe place to hide what meant the most to him. Yes, the appeal was there and it sparked an almost fanatical gleam in his pale eyes at the prospect of it. He’d let the knowledge roll about in his head and fester as the need took hold of him. This was something of his, and he was almost certain that this was something else from his mother and her family. Because for Kinsey good things always came from his mother, had come from her, he no long associated good things with his father - hadn’t in years.
So round up in his thoughts he lost sight of how to travel, and stood there lost in his thoughts, he didn’t even notice the energy signature which he should have sensed. It was dark and stronger than his own.

With the opening of the venue, Aoede was pleased with herself and already looking for a new location for a separate project. It brought her to another area, one a bit more normal and not as shady as some of the other places she’d looked. It had her in a wonderfully productive mood, siphoning energy off of people as she walked. Her scarf poked out from the large coat she wore, half to keep her fuku hidden and half because she was freezing in the weather. The snow had at least stopped but the wind still had an icy bite to it.
Stepping around one of the corners, she felt the tiniest blip of order, not something that worried her but it did sour her mood just the slightest. It meant someone was poking around and she didn’t like it. Curling a finger around the longer strang of hair that framed her face, her lips tightened into a frown as she looked at the kid that stood there almost dazed.
“Space cadet, are you lost?” Speaking coldly as she looked at them, she wasn’t amused at the slightest that they were that young-looking and already taller than her. It just wasn’t fair.

Someone addressing him finally snapped the knight back to his senses, pulled him away from the thoughts of what promise lay awaiting him in space. Staring for a moment the page tilted his head. “Not at all, I was just thinking of something.” Something which was none of her business, as it was no concern of anyone but himself. “Why do you care if I’m lost anyway?” Why would she care at all? He could feel her now…it was that same feeling as that night with the fighting. What he felt wasn’t as bad, wasn’t as massive, but it was still there and it was still enough to have him wanting to back away. Kinsey however was not one to back down from things, he didn’t let fear show when he could help it, so he stood there and held his ground for now.

“Oh I really don’t care, not about a little thing like you but you happen to be in my way and I don’t much like that.” Taking a step closer, her heels clicked on the pavement and she raised her hand up slightly over her chest. If they were standing their ground then that meant they might attack and honestly, she wasn’t about to really accept that risk. Not after she’d gotten burned.
So before they got another word out, she moved her other hand up and yelled, activating her magic and smiling as she watched to see what it would do to the poor thing. Maybe she’d see about dragging them into one of the sovereigns, it would be a nice little bonus for her work and for her taking one more member of order out of the picture.
She hadn’t brought anyone in herself just yet, she had been too busy with her project so maybe she’d just see where this went but only long enough to prove she wasn’t someone to be messed with.

He was in her way? What was this a small cramped hallway where someone couldn’t walk past him? He wanted to roll his eyes, to comment on just walking by him, but he really didn’t get the chance as she was walking towards him. This didn’t feel so good now, but he still didn’t back away or move, he really didn’t want to yield to this…to whatever it was he was feeling. Watching her hands move he wondered if he should worry, because magic was a thing, and he soon had an answer.
His hands went up to his ears as he closed his eyes and ground his teeth. Holy ******** hell! What the hell was this s**t? The sounds were a mish mash of all manner of things from howling to a horn and a whistle, and that was only what he could manage to identify easily, there were other sounds all of which were loud. Staggering back he sent a glare her way, his the palms of his hands digging into his ears, he did his best to try and muffle the sounds bombarding his ears but it wasn’t enough. If he wasn’t so concerned with keeping his ears covered he would have summoned that letter opener of h is…actually. Uncovering his ears, because he had no idea when this would all stop, he did summon the wooden letter opener and made to lunge at her as he aimed to try and stab her with the damn thing. It wasn’t a weapon, though he did wish it was, but it would have to do.

Frowning slightly as they decided to actually do something, she moved quickly with the scarf from her uniform to catch whatever it was he was trying to shank her with. Tutting as she twisted the fabric and caught their wrist. “Too slow.”
With that she stepped past them and pulled the slack, dragging their hand with her and hopefully into their face. She didn’t really want to get dirty, didn’t want them to bleed on her, but if it was on her fuku then that was fine because it could be cleaned off as easy as powering down and back up. She didn’t like how ballsy they were, that they didn’t back down when they were obviously fresh to this all. At least they didn’t have any magic related to fire, she would rather not deal with that again.

He couldn’t agree more, he’d been too close, and she had a scarf wrapped about his hand and he couldn’t stab her with the letter opener - damn. Cursing mentally the page of Ganymede didn’t have time to do anything, the senshi was walking past him, what he didn’t expect though he felt was his arm and hand moving…his hand making contact with his own face. Yelping in surprise, and pain, he was just glad she hadn’t been running and put more force behind things. Seeking to remove his hand from her hold, and trying to turn at the same time, Santa Maria aimed to try and hit her with that same fist.
“Who the hell are you even?”

Shaking her head as they turned to hit her, she grabbed his hand and reached forward into his chest. Just a bit of a scare would be good enough she hoped, she didn’t really want to deal with a body. It wasn’t her style to be so directly involved.
“Be a dear and stay out of my territory, otherwise I’ll rip your heart out.” The smile that crossed her face had no warmth to it. Squeezing ever so slightly on their starseed, she then reached up and pat his cheek before pulling her hand out and stepping back. In a blink she was gone, teleporting away to redraw her patrol route so she could remember to check if this troublemaker would be back after her warning.

Gasping at the sudden intrusive feeling that gasp disolved, rather quickly mind you, into a sound of pain as he felt his stomach churn and knot. He felt ill, and cold and clamy, it was when he looked down that he knew why. What in the hell? He didn't ask, didn't think he could talk,. but he did nod his head slowly when she spoke. He wasn't sure nodding, or even moving much, was a good idea but when he withdrew his hand it was like a wave of relief crashed over him. He was still covered in a cold sweat and shaking though.
Stepping back, on jelly like legs, he was certain he needed to make this space thing work. Gulping down air, as much as he could, he finally decided to try this again but with as much focus as he could - he needed space. Going over what Halle had told him, to the best of his ability, he was sure he was forgetting things but he hoped it would work - it needed to work.
