Jadyn sighed as he walked into the gym. He had been sorely lacking in that last battle. To be fair, that chick had been some kind of crazy. He needed to gain some muscle and maybe learn how to fight. He was flying by the seat of his pants most of the time, which was honestly how he'd lived most of his life. But he was getting older now and it was dangerous to live like that as a senshi. Hell, it was dangerous just to be a senshi.

It didn't help that he had no one to turn to for help. He knew he wasn't the only senshi in the city, but he had no idea who any of them were. Or what he was really supposed to be doing besides dust the youmas and fight the bad guys. It seemed…too simple. He didn't want to kill anyone but what was he supposed to do if he managed to incapacitate someone on the dark side? Leaving them there didn't seem like a good idea, but he didn't know who to take them to, or who to tell to come get them. What was the point?

Okay, so not the best mind set he's ever had but it could be worse. Maybe. He set his water bottle down near the weight sets and picked up a pair to start with. He didn't really know what he was doing here either but he'd make it up as he went along. As usual.

It was just an ordinary day at the gym for Damien, given the fact that he decided not to use his home gym and come out to the public gym instead. Currently, he was giving one of his younger brothers some pointers in terms of how to lift and what weight would be. He laughed when Dmitry snorted at him and proceeded to lift what he recommended. “I mean, you're the one that fell behind when you had kids brother. Not me.”

Dmitry kept lifting even as his older brother decided to talk s**t. “I-I have not! I can still lift Ryan easily AND toss him over my shoulder just the same as I was before we had kids. You're just mad because you HAVE to keep up with your regimen with your old a**.” He laughed himself when Damien gave him a not so friendly kick to the ankle.

He was definitely not struggling. Not in the least. Except apparently he was, because someone came over and said something. s**t. Jadyn groaned and carefully set the weights down. “Is it that obvious?” he asked, an embarrassed flush coloring his cheeks. Damn his pale skin. He hated that he blushed so damned easily. The guy who spoke looked like he lived in the gym, but Jadyn didn’t want to be a bother. The guy probably had better things to do than teach a gym newbie.

“I didn’t exactly do a whole lot of research before I came,” he said with a self-deprecating smile. “Thought it would be easy to figure out when I got here.” Clearly, he’d been wrong. One look at all of the equipment this gym boasted and he was immediately lost. The weights had just looked like the easiest thing to start with, except he’d even gotten those wrong apparently.

“Naw, it wasn't that obvious, been lifting longer than you've been alive probably so I know what to look for.” God he forgot he was in his 40’s now….With young a** kids and a 19 year old. Not where he thought his life was going a couple of years ago. “Well research is nice but asking someone with experience usually helps to compliment that.”

Jadyn blinked at that; just how old was this guy? He sure didn’t look that old, but he wasn’t exactly the best judge. “That would make sense,” he said and shrugged a shoulder. “I don’t really have anyone to ask, either.” And he didn’t want to walk up to some random stranger and ask for help. Being a burden on someone else was something he hated being. Dealing with his broken leg and needing his sister to help with almost everything was bad enough. He knew Marni didn’t mind, but that was beside the point. She was busy with her job and keeping up the house, she didn’t need to add him to the mix.

“Well if you want, I'm here…That red headed a*****e is my younger brother. I'm sure he wouldn't mind helping ya out either. He needs practice.” There was a chuckle when he saw Dmitry flip him off in the mirror. Either way, he was more than willing to help the kid out if he needed it. He's had to help Annie in the past too even though she is a boxer and an athlete in her own right. “Got a daughter I usually help with. What kind of workout are you trying to do? Where do you want to improve?” He could see the kid had a pretty decent body already so he figured some lifting to define his arms and maybe a couple of leg days would work out too.

Really he should've been a professional trainer.

Jadyn laughed softly, glancing back at the other ginger. “I’m looking to build muscle, and maybe learn a fighting style or two.” That seemed like it would be helpful. To know the basics behind throwing a punch or blocking one. He really didn’t know anything and he was trying not to feel stupid in front of these two who clearly knew what they were doing. “Oh, I’m Jadyn, by the way,” he said and smiled. “Anything you might wanna teach me would be amazing, honestly.” It was more than nice of them to take time out of their own workouts to even notice him let alone help him like this.

“Damien. a*****e little brother is Dmitry. I can help with learning some of the basics. However if you want something more…Dmitry knows Muay Thai kick boxing and I'm more of a street fighter. We could see which one you like more later. For now, the weights you're using…Not it kid.” Damien looked around and found the weights that would work for Jadyn, handing them to him. “If you're trying to build muscle, start small or at least what you're comfortable with. I have some recipes for protein as well…Gonna need that if you want to get the big guns.” There were also other factors that he would need to know about as well. However, he looked at his watch, chuckling. “I'll give you my number and Dmitrys. Turns out the wife needs something so I gotta heed her call unless I want her to kick my a** or something. Dmitry has to come because his husband is involved too. He wrote down his number and Dmitry’s handing it over. “Just send us a message with your name and we got you.” He gave Jadyn a pat on the shoulder, “Good luck kid. Don't be afraid to call alright?” He made his way over to Dmitry who was already packing their things. If there was one thing when it came to his little brother, it's the fact that if his husband said jump, he was going into the atmosphere.
